A lovely restaurant and cafe... if you can find it!…read more Both times I have visited Oscar's Hangout, my dining companions have seemed apprehensive about the lack of direct street frontage. If it weren't for the car park we would have totally missed it. Once inside, however, you will find a down to earth, family-friendly cafe by day and a chilled out restaurant by night. Servings are very generous and the meals are all very tasty. Try the mushroom quesadilla for a change to the standard bacon and eggs breakfast - it made me a believer!

Last night I had the mussels as an entree and the rib eye steak for a main. The mussels came in a generous serve and were cooked just right and served a delicious thick creamy sauce. The rib eye was done just the way a liked it. The other in our party had the soft-shell crab followed by the wagyu steak. Again, all very bloody tasty. It is great to have a really good restaurant close to Warrandyte other than Mercers. The only thing is that even when it is not crowded, it is a bit noisy and hard to hear your fellow diners. I know a lot of restaurants are set up this way purposefully, but I don't like it. Well done once more guys. We will be back.

I ordered The Greek Burger and chips and tomato sauce for our takeaway movie night…read more Ive always been drawn to both greek culture and especially greek food, so I had a good feeling about this from the get go. It was obvious I was making the safest choice for my personal taste. I havnt got a bad word to say about the overall experience. It was fantastic. The tzatziki sauce complemented the burger very well. There was the right amount of lamb meat. It was ideal, beuitifully made. Im more of a wrap guy then a burger guy so the fact that I was so impressed by this Greek burger shows how good it was. The chips and sauce were also very nice as well. A good side snack on after the main. The chips were the exact type that I like I did not have the onion rings, my friend did. 4 stars. Definetly worth giving a go. They have so much to choose from on the menu, its hard not to find something that appeals to you. High qaulity food.

My friend and I came here for my last night in Melbourne and we decided on this spot for dinner. We phoned ahead and made resos and then were blown away by everything we had! Seriously! We shared the gnocchi and the burger and then had the pb&j for dessert. The gnocchi is expensive for the amount but they used the word 'delicacy' to describe it and this is 100% accurate. The least fav part of the meal were the fries which were meh. But of course I ate them all. :) Come here, and come again. You won't be disappointed.

I started the evening with a nice red on the patio waiting for friends to arrive, then we moved inside as dinner time approached. The space inside is cozy & nicely appointed. Our party was about 20 people & the staff did an excellent job accommodating us, making us feel welcome & pulling off dinner service the way they did for a group our size was impressive. Bar staff was very knowledgeable & mixed us some great drinks. St Luja will be a must visit for all of my Melbourne visits in the future. ly

The name really does suit the place, or more so the place really does fit the name. There are a few rooms about with some lovely, and quite comfortable, chairs. In fact, it is the rooms that really give this place it's charm, including the outdoor area out the back. Okay, it was pretty quiet when I visited, but that also adds to the charm.

The thing is that the dinners are pretty pricey, though the price is probably what you will end up paying on average. It felt like they were trying to do pub grub, and even hold themselves out as a bar, but it really doesn't feel like a place that I would actually come to simply to have a drink. Still, the service was pretty good, but I'm probably not inclined to come back.

Hearing the smooth sounds of live music (Lionel Richie) we sat down by the window inside and ordered cocktails, drinks and food. Without having realised it was a gay bar (not that there is anything wrong with that) the waitress was awesome, quick, friendly and super knowledgeable. We ordered some of the chicken and tempura vegies and they came out the freshest we'd ever had with regards to quick tapas on the go and as we enjoyed the Sunday afternoon live music, we eventually made it to the beach. Highly regarded and will definetely go again!

I have been to Robarta many times, I love it. I think I even had my 20th birthday there, which started with dinner with close family and friends, some of which were vegetarian so the Asian tapas dishes were perfect, lots of tofu and veggie things to choose from. To later on as more of my friends arrived we sipped on classy cocktails listening to some smooth, relaxing sounds while the dj set up. Later in the evening to early morning let's just say the music was pumping drinks were flowing and feet were dancing. Robarta has two great levels upstairs is open mainly for the clubber's, and with a curfew of 7am on the weekends whats not to love?
