Aaaahhh Mynt. If you're between the ages of 18-21, still living in the outer Western suburbs and don't want to pay for a sixty buck cab either to or from the city then make your night a Mynt night! Notoriously know to be one the 'best' clubs on this side of town, it cops as much flack as it receives love. They hold a lot of events and they have improved over the years, really catering to the younger clubbing crowd. If you like house music, singlet dresses, skater bois and impossible heels then you'll love Mynt. read more

Please note this is for the Fridays at Mynt called POW! Fridays. I've been going to this place since 2008ish nearly every week and I love it. I'm not really much of a nightclub guy, but the beer garden is great and is a key feature for me. The majority of people who go there are regulars, so once you start going, you'll always see familiar faces and have lots of nice people to mix with. They have live bands every week and they play a big mix of music there, it's more of a party vibe than a nightclub vibe, so if you're really keen on typical nightclubs, the Thursday or Saturday might be better for you. Also be aware that the average age there seems to be about 19 years old. If you're significantly older than that, you may not get let in. But if that's the case, there's always Volt in Hoppers Crossing or the Park Hotel nearby. read more

Worst service I have ever received before. Not only were our meals late, but they came out at…read moredifferent times, our entrees came after our main meals and they forgot an entree all together. After we enquired about the entree, they never returned to inform us of where it is. The bar was understaffed and they felt no need to make an effort in taking our requests immediately. They preferred to wait at least 10 minutes before tending to us before we could even get a drink. There were multiple items from our dishes that were missing, such as bread rolls. The waitresses could barely clear a table without spilling a drink onto the floor. With that said, the food was good. But the horrendous service ruined that for me

Terrible service. Left standing around like idiots on arrival while at least 4 separate staff…read moremembers looked us right in the face and ignored us. Eventually we figured it must have been a seat yourself deal and chose our own table. There were no menus on the tables so we had to organise those ourselves too. I asked to see the wine list and was told to just look on the shelf because that's what they had - still not sure how much I paid for my drink. Entree was microwaved turkish bread with store bought dip including one that resembled primary school clagg with bits in it and tasted about the same. The lamb shanks were served on a 'bed' of polenta which apparently means soup and with vegetables that were so far undercooked they could be called salad. Big thumbs down.
