Please read all the reviews before going here. I had the exact same experience of being told not to use my phone in this store. I did not appreciate the vibe of this place and I don't ever return to places that make their customers feel like we are not valued. This place makes you feel like you should feel privileged to enter their space. There is no explanation of why we can't talk on the phone nor do I care to know if the employee decides to respond back to this review. I had a family member call me in the store (which I answered) and was told no phones allowed. I will always prioritize answering the phone for family instead of following a store policy that has no reasonable explanation. also, the items I saw in the store in my opinion were not even worth taking a picture of and that was the absolute last thing on my mind. Word of advice - respect your customers and maybe you will stay in business. I have seen a lot of turnover in L5P because of similar vibes in the store where people do not feel welcome. Business is about relationships, make people feel good and they will refer. Word of mouth is the best advertising. However due to the extremely poor experience, I will never bring people to this store, ever again. Learn how to treat people and remember we are in a free country. This store is in the right spot, in the middle of Little 5 Points. However, it is odd and not always open. I was shopping with my teen and would have preferred not to step food in here b/c it was just weird feeling. I am not sure how it stays open, but I am sure it has clients who come to buy the items. I've never left a Yelp review before, but felt compelled to after seeing the negative reviews, because my own experience of the points that I see folks complaining about couldn't have been more positive. This review is long, but the place deserves it! I haven't had a visit to a store make such a positive impression on me in a long time. For those in a hurry, the TLDR: This place is a distinctive haven of whimsy and a one-of-a-kind gem. It does have rules and those rules enhance and protect the experience for the kind of people who are a good fit for the space. It's clear that the owner has crafted the space with a great deal of intention, artistry, and thoughtful consideration. This includes their setting strong boundaries around how they run their store. Yes, cell phone use is not permitted and business hours are as whimsical as the space itself. That may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I personally can't say enough about how lovely and refreshing I found it to have a reprieve from others talking on their phones while shopping in a relatively small and tight-packed room! Given this store's array of artistic and fantastical displays, I have no doubt that people would be posing for selfies in front of the wondrous incense wall or blocking the counter while they updated their IG stories if it weren't for this boundary about cell phone usage. I saw one review complaining about needing to take calls from family, but that concern seems strange when the store is so small -- it would be very easy to duck out to answer or return a call if one needed to. As for the business hours, they're one of my favorite parts of the store! On multiple trips to L5P, I passed by this door when the shop was closed and found myself brimming with curiosity at what might be inside. I was totally delighted by the Wonderland-like attitude apparent in its posted hours, which states things somewhere along the lines of "open... unless we're not", "closed... unless we're open", "sometime to sometime later", etc. It's extraordinary and inspiring for a business to say "we're open when the time is right" and, while that might be a frustrating approach coming from a grocery store or post office, it's highly appropriate for an art-installation-meets-shop that seeks to cultivate wonder and spark curiosity. It's also highly appropriate given that this store deals in tools for energy work like crystals and incense. If you're the kind of person who believes that metaphorical doors will open to you when the time is right, then this store's hours will make perfect sense to you. If, on the other hand, your response to the unconventional hours is entitlement over expecting the place to run on your schedule, then perhaps you missed the other (absolutely wonderful) sign advising patrons that the store and the characters contained therein are "under no obligation to make sense to you". The first few times my friend and I walked by here, the shop was closed and all we could do was marvel at the signs on the door. Sidenote -- aside from the whimsical hours, there's also a powerful expression of support for trans people on the door, which is wonderful to see. On our third or fourth time wandering L5P, my friend and I headed to Rabbithole Industries thinking, "let's see if that place that's always closed is open this time." Imagine the fun rush we got from seeing it open when some serendipity is required for that to occur! It honestly made the visit so much more magical that we were surprised by the store being open and that we had experienced that sense of mystery over what was inside on previous days when our timing hadn't been aligned. Finally, as for the assertions that the shopkeeper is rude, I can only say that my friend and I found them to be charming, welcoming, and full of humor. Yes, we were told not to use our phones upon entering and, yes, it was hard to hear. So I asked them to repeat what had been said and they obliged very politely! We had questions about incense burners and were met with helpful responses. When we asked the shopkeeper's name and inquired about the store's history, we were similarly met with polite responses. Another customer bumped into one of the glass cases by mistake and the owner was good-humored and kind about it. At the end, Hatter capped off our experience with a fantastic cackle of a laugh that was straight out of a Wonderland tea party. Frankly, I'm stunned at the attacks on this person's presentation and dialect -- I walked away impressed, like, "that person knows precisely who they are and who they were showing up as today when they came in for work." A huge part of the store's distinctiveness comes from Hatter's unique, confident presence and manner of holding court at the counter. If you are drawn to this place out of a love of originality, authenticity, and unique character and/or if you are an energy worker drawn in by the spirit of this store, then I imagine you will have a wonderful experience here. read more

Me and my husband stopped in here because we thought it was right up our alley as an oddity shop, we were wrong. Bad vibes the second we stepped foot in, they were cleaning the door so we missed the no phone sign, and the guy spoke so fast with this weird fake accent that I didn't hear or no about the policy bc the door was literally still squeaking when he said "No phones, let me know if you have any questions." I pull my phone out because I thought I felt it vibrate, and he goes, "what did I just say as y'all came in, put that phone away." I did put it away, and said, "oh I'm so sorry I didn't hear you." And he proceeds to lecture me about, "if someone is talking to you and you don't understand what they say it's your responsibility to make sure you heard them right." And just ranted about it. My husband started pulling us out of there and shot the guy a mean look. And I was just like, how is it my fault you a) was not looking at us when you were speaking (I'm hoh also and rely on reading lips often) b) had the music up loud and a very loud and squeaky door and c) literally spoke so fast that by the time the extraneous noise cleared up all I heard was "let me know if you have any questions" read more

Worst place I've ever been to. Negative energy as soon as you walk in. Dude with the fake British accent CUSSED me out for CHECKING TIME ON MY PHONE. Calling me a "stupid twat" as I walked out. Unknowing my friend was buying a necklace and as she put it on her neck no less then an hour later her neck turns green. I told the lady outside only the be rushed by the man from the front door as he ripped his mask off and called me names yet again such as "a silly child" as a 20 year old women this is both SCARY and disrespectful. read more

This store has extremely BAD energy. Anyone that wants to go into this store for "interesting buys" should turn away immediately. You're not aloud to open your own door, you can't pull out your phone, and the two people who work there have never changed. They're CLEARLY a duo there to use black voodoo magic against people. He refused to face us and had his back turned to us the entire time. As soon as we stepped in, the energy was extremely negative. The back left corner was awfully bad. We left immediately because the guy was whispering to himself and using a necklace and refused to face us. The lady even refused to let us out for a minute. DONT go here. read more

Lots of beautiful jewelry of all kinds, vintage looking pieces, crystal jewelry, beaded jewelry, etc. The store has a very cozy and earthy atmosphere and prices are very fair especially compared to other shops. The owner was a bit stand off ish at first (which is why i drop a star) immediately scolding me and my friend for having our phones in our hands "absolutely no taking pictures, or using your phone at all in this store". he also talks in a british accent (but his mother does not lol) and does act as if he is the mad hatter. once you buy something he is very kind though. read more

I kid you not this is the worst place I've ever been to. The owner is this dude with a forced British accent who is trying so hard to be cool and mysterious which he is not. He think's he's some swanky magician with potions up his sleeve in some Sweeney Todd type of way. In reality he is a discord moderator wearing a fedora and faking a British accent for attention. This place on the inside is beautiful lots of crystals and jewelry and incense. Mind you I'm a crystal loving hippie I come in decked out in crystals with blue hair and tie dye on I am this dude's target audience for sure. I come in here immediately this man child is calling people c*nts he called me stupid for standing there I guess and looking at what he has to sell?? The kicker is he's charging egregious prices for crystals when there is another jewelry/crystal shop next door that is selling for half of what he's charging. I've never seen such ridiculous pricing I swear he even hiked the price on nag champa which is a cheaper incense like are you kidding? This guy is only staying open because of other pretentious people like him that think they are a part of something cool and exclusive. There's nothing cool and exclusive about this guy. Really it's beautiful stuff he could sell his stuff for double what it's worth I mean it's little five points for christ's sake but it's his presence that's ruining his business but evidently he doesn't want everyone's business anyways. Incredibly hard to comprehend how this man runs a business. He is rude to feedback that is genuine. He yells and comes across as condescending. If you are going to sell crystals, it is important to set a mood in which people's energy feels safe. my energy did NOT feel safe in this experience and I felt like he was looking to argue with people. If I could give this place zero stars I would just on account of the cashier. Did he tell us not to take pictures? Yes. Did I still take a photo of the jar labeled "Pu**y" in front of the sign that says "I know you all love my pu**y?" Yes. Yes I absolutely did. He proceeded to approach me, try to raise his voice and lecture me and continued to yell as we tried to leave and insisted it was because I was "embarrassed that I was being put in my rightful place." I've been to the store quite a few times, but I've only been inside twice. They are never open when they say they will be. They said they'd open around 1-2 today and it's 3 minutes till 3 and the doors are locked. It's been like this the past FIVE times I've tried to come here. I really do love the selections and the over all atmosphere of the store, but it's incredibly disappointing when I try to bring friends or family and I've told them how wonderful this shop is, only for us to have wasted a whole trip into Atlanta because they aren't open. It's left an overall bad vibe and hard feelings that are now associated with the store and I probably won't be recommending this place anymore. I wish their hours were clearer or updated, and if they're closed indefinitely, a sign would be nice. So because of the fact they are never open when they say they will be, I'm giving two stars. Since the demise of L5P's Soulkiss, there was something missing from this shopping district- unique jewelry and fabulous imports that can be otherwise hard to find in Atlanta...until now! Atlantis has an overwhelming array of goods you definitely cannot find in Little 5, or anywhere else, for that matter. The wonderful owner of this shop relocated his goods from the defunct Soulkiss to this new spot and also broadened his inventory to include many new things. He has unique products from all over the world-literally. He mostly focuses on Asian goods but also sells anything from vintage 70's stuff (want owls and mushrooms? They have it!) to coveted 80's toys (I revert to my childhood ways when I see his care bears and pound puppies-have to keep thumb out of mouth!!) So, on to the Asian goods- do you need a silk purse, coin bag, or dress? get it here. Belly dancing accessories and costumes? Check. Maybe some Indian goods like henna, and hand stencils? Got it! What if you are looking for some really unique and beautiful jewelry.....yeah, it's here too! The owner is always on the hunt for entirely unique jewelry (and other items) from all over the world. Their selection of incense is wonderful, and the nag champa soap has me coming back once a week....which reminds me, I should just stock up on it.... but even if you are not a hippie (which I am not) this soap smells divine! They even sell gift bags and cards for last minute shoppers (like I was last weekend for my mom's birthday.) They really have it all in this store and it is definitely one of the best new places in my 'hood!! Another wonderful thing about the store owner is that he takes in local artists' work and sells them in the store so they can get their stuff out there, which is commendable. One of my favorite things about this store (besides the wonderful products) is the decor. The owner went to great lengths to collect ivy and vines to hang from the ceiling to make this sort of underwater feeling (hence the name!) and has plants everywhere, so it almost feels like an underwater jungle. He has a small fish pond in a corner and if you're lucky, you'll get to hold the resident baby bunny, who loves to sit on the counter and chew on his bunny granola bar thingy. Next time you are shopping in Little 5 Points make sure you check out this store- they are always getting in new and unique things you may not be able to live without! read more

Their collection of trinkets, jewelry, and crystals is certainly unique in and of itself...but the way the displays are put together is a work of art. He was dressed as a classy gothish mad hatter... and when i walked in i certainly felt like i had gone down a rabbit hole! Mean spirited owner or employee from the moment we walked in. He insulted me when i commented on the cats complicated french name, AFTER HE tells me dont touch the cat because he's moody.... seriously?? ! you have a cat that could potentially bite or scratch you walking around the store??? Not smart, terrible business practice and great way to instill fear and discomfort in your potential customers. SMH ! This is the best store in Atlanta. The owners are very friendly and kind, handling the whole store themselves They're unstoppably creative people and as a result the store is an amazing, almost magical expression of spirit. They make many of the items for sale and carefully choose the others, often from local artists. This is a great place to shop for unique jewellery and fragrant oils. The prices are VERY reasonable. The hours are flexible depending on how tired everyone is from running the store. This is true little 5 community. read more
