History
Established in 2018.
RAAC Academy was founded in 2018 with the vision of creating a one-of-a-kind learning space where every child can thrive. Inspired by personal experiences of overcoming challenges, our founder, Rachna Patel, set out to build an environment that blends creativity, academics, and real-world skills in ways traditional classrooms often can’t.
What began as a small initiative has grown into a vibrant academy serving students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Our students have gained confidence in core subjects and achieved national recognition, including NASA competition wins in 2021 and 2023.
From camps and after-school programs to tutoring and homeschool classes, RAAC Academy is a trusted resource for families across San Jose. Our mission is simple: to spark curiosity, nurture creativity, and empower the next generation of learners to dream big and achieve more.
Meet the Business Owner: Rachna P.
I’m Rachna Patel, founder and director of RAAC Academy. My journey started in childhood, when I faced the challenge of rebuilding my life after brain tumor surgery and memory loss. Those experiences taught me resilience and inspired me to create a learning space where every child feels capable, supported, and inspired.
Since opening RAAC Academy in 2018, I’ve combined my background in education, leadership, and innovation with my passion for hands-on learning. Along the way, I’ve guided students to win national NASA competitions and, more importantly, helped countless kids gain confidence, curiosity, and real-world skills.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple mission: to spark curiosity, nurture creativity, and empower the next generation of learners to dream big and achieve more.
