Whenever I pass Chaggers Supermarket, I can't help but imagine that it's called 'Chuggers', like some hackneyed, stereotypical 'American teens at college', where to get served you have to be a geeky kid using a fake ID to try and get some alcohol for the big campus party. What was I talking about again? Chaggers, when it's not making me think I'm in Superbad, is a good local shop, selling a surprisingly good range of products, with pet foods and toiletries as well as the usual food. The one thing they seem to have a surprisingly poor selection of is frozen food, with just two small chest freezers, which is somewhat strange. The personal selling point for me is that they sell Coca Cola in glass bottles (once again playing into the American teen film vibe), which, whilst obviously more expensive than the plastic bottles, are so much cooler, and that's something money can't buy. The staff are friendly and always ask if you need any help. read more
