The store was fairly clean/modern and the product range was satisfactory. The staff were also pretty friendly, although I did find it slightly difficult to find a staff member on the shop floor. (COVID precautions?) I was unable to get a mobile signal around the store, which rendered their mobile scanning option useless, strangely I did not have issues elsewhere in Solihull, so perhaps there is some sort of interference within the store which will hopefully be reviewed, although based on previous reviews this seems to have been an issue for some time, even back in 2016 - Come on Waitrose! 4* - One of the best supermarkets in town, and a great addition to the town centre.

Decided to take advantage of Waitrose's 2 hours free parking and a free latte which can be claimed daily by My Waitrose members. This Waitrose is super good as it has a sushi counter - all freshly made in front of you, and a lovely cafe with some outdoor seating which is under a canopy. It is a pleasant store with plenty of space and a good range of items, particularly for party means, barbecues etc. The basic food I needed cost me more than elsewhere but overall it was a great experience and very convenient so I'll be back soon.

The car park is big and the shop is accessible (this isn't tucked into some silly corner of Chelmsley Wood, it's easy to get to). It's part of a bigger shopping centre so there are other facilities on site, and there's also the main shopping centre behind it. Staff were friendly and doing their jobs; no complaints there. Some people seemed to have a little trouble finding how to get out of the car park, but I imagine that's just people being people and not reading the signs.

I have seen there are restrictions on the number of items you can buy for some things when they are on offer, so I checked the sign before I put them into my trolley and it did not have a notice to advise of any maximum purchases. When I got to the till the check out woman spent ages calling someone over who in turn spent ages making a phone call to see if there was a restriction on the number I could buy. I tried not to get irritated but in the end I was about to walk away and leave my shopping when they said there was no restrictions. I will not be going back again in a hurry as although the check out lady was polite about it and explained that she had to check, the woman making the phone call was quite rude and put me off a return visit in the near future.

For me though generally it is a nightmare to drive in and out of, it is so close to the main Coventry Rd and I only tend to go here during a weekday as evenings and weekends it is too stressful to drive too. Although their fruit and vegetables are competitively priced, I feel the rest of their items can be overpriced, considering the number of supermarkets you have on this stretch of the Stratford Road.
