I spoke with Johnny, one of the owners, and he was prompt, direct, and came to the house that day, got on the roof, and did his assessment. Based on the results and him telling me that I did, in fact need a new roof, I engaged Astro to put mine in the schedule. It really was mind blowing how straight forward and honest the entire process was. They stayed in prompt communication and got the old roof demo'd and the new roof installed, in 2 days and it looks great. The original estimate that Johnny provided was the final bill, even though he told me ahead of time that once they got the old roof off, there might be undetected damage below which would increase the price but that wasn't the case. You know, living in a hurricane state, there are tons of disreputable contractors out there including in the roofing business, but Astro was amazing and they get my highest reviews for everything! The initial appointment with Trent was professional, informative and well-presented. Clear explanations and many samples were provided. Our informed decision to contract with FCR was based on their reputation, multiple recommendations, an early target date with a one-day installation, and a very reasonable price quote. The FCR crew of 17 roofers arrived on time, placed protective tarps around our entire house and protected our gardens. They started systematically removing our old tile roof without any delay and quickly contained all debris which was removed immediately. The efficiency of all these workers was amazing. I had Hunter come by and spoke to him and I looked up the reviews and I felt comfortable paying a $23,000 deposit. The permits for the HOA and the Orange County came in very fast and they literally scheduled us within two weeks. I was extremely pleased with the crew. They showed up every morning at 6:30 in the morning and they left at 7:30 at night and it took about two weeks. I had a major concern with the open-ended nature of the contract regarding extras, but we were able to work it out in a very nice fashion with compromising respect. After they were finished the Orange County roofing inspector came and borrowed my ladder to go up on the roof and said it's the best roof he's ever seen. I have been through several heavy downpour and so far no leaks so I figure it's good for many years. A couple of things needed to be finished up and they came back and finished everything up with a very professional fashion. I was so pleased. I fed them every day. I would highly recommend this company. Hunter and Jim answered all my questions in a very timely fashion both before during and after which is a big deal to me. They sent a guy out who said he would be back the next day to address the problem. I have not seen or heard anything from anybody. They put a flat roof on 10 years ago with a product that has a 20 year warranty. It has done nothing but leak for the last 10 years. I have called them. They have come and patched it a few times and it is still leaking and now I'm going to have to redo my whole breakfast room ceiling. I have called another company in Orlando That's going to have to come and probably rip it off and start over again. These people do not know how to work with this product or install it correctly obviously.
