Sun Coast Roofing & Solar - This is an example of their repair on the first of three warranty claims.

I hired Sun Coast Roofing in New Smyrna Beach, Florida to repair my roof in February 2025. I was…read moretold the roof coating would last more than 5 years, and the work came with a 5-year warranty. I paid close to $7,000 for this job, expecting peace of mind. Less than one year later, my roof is already leaking, and I now have damage inside my home. This is completely unacceptable for work that was supposed to last years and still be under warranty. I contacted Sun Coast Roofing to resolve the issue. A man did come out to inspect the roof and confirmed that the roof was still damaged and said they would "do something about it." That was over two months ago, and since then, I have heard nothing. I have called multiple times and tried reaching an employee named Natasha, but she is always "in a meeting" or unavailable. At this point, no one is returning my calls, and I feel completely ignored. This is not fair or professional, especially when the work is clearly under warranty. I trusted this company and paid a large amount of money, and now I am left with a leaking roof and interior damage. If this issue is not resolved soon, my next step will be to file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I would not recommend this company based on my experience

This company is dishonest, cuts corners, and avoids accountability. Do not hire them…read more I had a contract with this company to replace my roof after Hurricane Milton. According to the agreement, they were supposed to install a ridge vent--never installed. They were also supposed to install a solar-powered attic fan--never installed. They bent all the fascia at the front of my house and over-bent the aluminum fascia more than 180° at every corner. They were supposed to install new lead pipe caps--they reused the old ones. They also failed to install the PVC rodent guards that were clearly included in the estimate. Halfway through the job, I realized no ridge vent was being installed. When I asked the installer, he told me to speak with the salesman. The salesman claimed that I had triple beams running down the center of my house, making a ridge vent installation impossible. That immediately raised red flags. I climbed into my attic and found only one beam, not three as they had claimed. I even took photos of the trusses to prove it. I couldn't believe they had lied so blatantly. Their excuse made even less sense considering I had received three other estimates before hiring them. One contractor actually inspected my attic and said my roof was an ideal candidate for a ridge vent. Several other homes in my neighborhood with the same exact layout all have ridge vents installed. Eventually, the salesman agreed to install vents on the three roof peaks instead. But once the job was finished--there were no ridge vents at all. When I confronted the installer, he told me, "Ridge vents don't look good--they're ugly." I reminded him it wasn't his decision to make. He replied, "I'm just trying to do what's best for my customer." Unbelievable. To make matters worse, he told the salesman that I had said I didn't want ridge vents because I thought they were ugly--a complete lie. Later, one of their foremen came to inspect the roof. While standing in my driveway, he called the installer and put him on speakerphone. When the installer realized he'd been caught, he refused to speak. Even the foreman admitted the installer had lied. After four months of back-and-forth, the company proposed tearing off half of my new roof just to install the ridge vent they failed to put in the first time. And throughout it all, they had an attitude, despite the fact that everything was clearly outlined in the original estimate. This was a nightmare from start to finish. I'm the only one in my neighborhood who used this company--and it shows. Everyone else has beautiful roofs with proper ridge vents. I do not. This was almost a $25,000 mistake. Do not, I repeat, do not use this company. They lie to customers, ignore contracts, make excuses, and shift blame when caught. Avoid them at all costs.
