I dropped them off at the shop in the morning and they were ready for pickup in a half hour. Cost to sharpen is $6 each, regardless of blade length (so just $24 total). I took them home, washed them up in soapy water and tried them out. The blades pass cleanly through food items with little effort and no loss of juice. Be sure to use a solid wood (Maple, Beech, Teak or Walnut) cutting board, not bamboo, ceramic or glass! This was my first time having these blades professionally sharpened. Typically, I did it myself at home on a whetstone. I bought these knives back in 2015, and I thought that a professional job was long overdue (being correctly sharpened to a 16-degree angle). Thanks again Samurai Sharp for a great job!

He even reached out to another knife expert to see if we could figure out the maker, maybe Universal. I've used his services in the past, bought a nice gift certificate for my son's birthday (which he loved). But this, today, off the chart, way above 5 stars. And so incredibly reasonable, I had to leave a tip to pay him what I thought he should have charged me!
