The owner, Mark, is all around a fantastic guy…read more He answered the phone promptly after we inquired about getting our knives sharpened - they weren't giving the same affect compared to when first purchased them 3-4 years ago & dull. A couple of reminders to help you with your experience: A.) He has two locations for pickup/drop-off depending on your preference and arrangement - one is located inside a spa that I believe his wife owns and is a little tricky to find. The other location is at his home, which is closeby. B.) Knives are measured by inches and costs depend on how long it is - we got 12 knives sharpened. C.) Mark did not have to honor the Yelp discount and did, so we were so appreciative. FYI - he said he's not running the promotion. All in all, we were happy with how sharp our knives are and happy with them so far along with good service and excellent turnaround time. Mark was able to get our knives back in our hand within 24 hr. of giving it to him. We have more knives that need some tender loving care, so we will def. be using his services very soon!

Tommy and his crew tuned it up like it was brand new again. The price was WAY below what I expected to pay. I will always go to Tommy's Repair Service for any kind of repairs or supplies I need in this area.

Fantastic! I recently brought my 48" xmark ZTR mower in which was giving me multiple issues…read moreincluding some engine and hydraulic trouble. The mower was used with about 700 hours on it when it was given to me as a housewarming gift. Jeremy went through my mower with a fine toothed comb-Verified the issues I knew about, and pointed out the ones I was unaware of. The original quote was just under $700.00 to repair everything, fix the hydro's, and perform a full maintenance on the mower (outside of a simple sharpening of the blades and changing the oil- I honestly don't think anything was ever done to it) I reluctantly agreed knowing that the mower is worth FAR more than that and nothing has ever been done to my knowledge. Jeremy brought out EVERY HORSE in my 20 Horse power engine. It now runs faster, smoother and actually quieter. The best part was the bill. They quoted me just under $700.00 to fix everything- the final bill was $580.00 Not often does someone come in UNDER the quote and hold it. Thanks!

I'm giving 2 stars because I have had positive experiences with them in the past, but…read moreunfortunately, this most recent experience was extremely disappointing. I dropped my machine off on a Tuesday and was told the turnaround time would be approximately two weeks, with an expected return date of the 28th. When the 30th came and I still had not received a call, I contacted the store. I was told the machines only came back on Wednesdays and that I should call again Thursday. I called Thursday and was told my machine still had not returned and was given the number for the technician in Sarasota. When I called him, he seemed completely unaware of my machine. He told me he had never received or even seen it and suggested I contact the store again. When I called the store back, I finally learned what had happened: my machine had been sitting in their back room for THREE WEEKS. It had never even left the store for service. You can imagine my frustration when I then learned that the next shipment to the technician wasn't leaving for another week. At that point, they had already had my machine for three weeks, and sending it out would have meant being without it for approximately another two weeks. This isn't simply an inconvenience for me. I use my machine for orders, and I lost both time and potential income because my machine was apparently placed somewhere and forgotten. What made the situation even more frustrating was the way I felt I was spoken to when I called asking about my machine. I was made to feel as though I shouldn't be calling before the truck came back, when in reality, my machine had never been on the truck in the first place. Had someone actually checked on it during one of my earlier calls, this could have been discovered much sooner. I asked to speak with a manager but was told he wasn't there. I was eventually offered a discount if I brought the machine back, but at that point I declined. Doing so could have left me without my machine for close to five weeks total, and I wasn't willing to take that chance. I ultimately picked up my machine and took it somewhere else. I have had good experiences here in the past, which is why I am giving three stars rather than one. However, this also isn't the first time I've experienced a significant delay. On a previous occasion, they had one of my machines for about a month before I called and was eventually told the motor was bad and I needed to replace the machine. Since I own Brother machines and they are one of the Brother dealers in the area, I had hoped to continue using them. Unfortunately, after this experience, I have lost confidence in their service process. Going forward, I will make the drive to Plant City rather than bring my machines back to Tops.
