I called ahead to check on gluten-free options since I didn't see anything listed on their website,…read moreand the staff confirmed they offer GF buns and that the sweet potato fries themselves are gluten-free. We came with a party of 8 on a perfect night to sit outside on their huge patio right on the water--the atmosphere cannot be beat! While the setting was great, the GF/allergy experience could use a little improvement. When I asked the server which drinks were gluten-free, she wasn't super knowledgeable, though she did make an effort to confirm the items for me. I ended up ordering a strawberry margarita. There also weren't any appetizer options that were both gluten-free and vegetarian, so I went straight to the entree. I ordered the BLT with mayo and cheddar cheese on a gluten-free bun. The server did clarify that they do not have a dedicated fryer for the fries, so I opted for a side of fruit instead to avoid cross-contamination. The food itself was really good--honestly, you couldn't even tell the bun was gluten-free! Overall, it's a beautiful spot with good food, but I really wish they had a dedicated fryer, more GF options, and the staff a bit more educated on cross-contamination and ingredients.

We had the lightly fried pollock whichwas fantastic, potato pancakes tasty, potato casserole was yummy and even the coleslaw was good! Older son had jumbo shrimp which he liked and younger son had the kids' mini corn dogs which met his approval. The coolest [and simplest thing] was that the hostess seated us with a small cup of cheese spread. We dipped our breadsticks into it and that kept the hunger at bay while the yummy fish was getting prepared. The Man and I are already talking about returning this week. After a few visits I've found it's actually a lot more than that. Pre-pandemic they would have a ton of live entertainment come through and not just boring or sad stuff you'd expect to see in a small joint - they really do care about bringing in good entertainment and the bands I've seen have not disappointed at all. There's a few different areas for stretching out, including what looks like a party room with a pool table and some games. Usually when I've gone they've had a raffle out for one charitable cause or another too. I'm not sure exactly what they're doing during this far into the pandemic but the visits I had before it all broke out were nice, and when I went once over the summer there was a huge outdoor space available for people and people were sort of keeping their distance inside.
