I am a 76 year old widow who recently lost gas service to my home. The gas company told me that the…read moreproblem was on my side of the curb, and I was responsible for the gas line from the curb to my meter. When I called for estimates, one company quoted $6,500 to repair the line without even looking at it, and a Tarentum plumbing company quoted $6,750. Thank goodness I called Arnold Plumbing, who quoted $1600 to $1900. Greg Jr and Rob came the next day and in 5 hours had repaired/replaced the line. I highly recommend Arnold Plumbing for competent work at a very reasonable price. Penny Lentz, 10/29/25

After the storm and extended power outage of November 2018, when my cats and I spent many days (and…read morenights) freezing in our house, I looked for someone who was knowledgeable in installing a Generac Generator. I spoke with more than one electrical company at the time, but Robert Behers immediately impressed me as the expert I needed for the task. His explanation of alternatives and associated costs were transparent, his estimate precise, and his advice heeded. Robert's son, Bob, is equally knowledgeable. Bob can make a diagnosis over the phone when I describe a sound; and when an unusual event has occurred (such as a hiccup with ignition for a power failure that immediately follows one that lasted continuously for most of a week), he gives precise instructions over the phone to solve the issue, much like the control tower helping a passenger to land a plane after the pilot has become ill. Joe, who always has arrived on time over the past 7 years for thorough annual generator maintenance and upkeep (replacing a battery or spark plugs at specific intervals, servicing valves after prolonged use, etc.) also is a wizard and answers all questions with responses that I am able to grasp. I have recommended R. G. Behers Electrical Service, Inc. to everyone who is interested in getting a generator to back up our aging power grid, as well as to anyone who needs a fine electrician.

We bought a whole-house Generac generator from R.G. Behers a little over a year ago, and their…read moreknowledge made the process so easy that it was actually pleasant. Despite a nation-wide shortage, R.G. Behers obtained the generator that we wanted in short order, because they're a long-time installer with a great service record. When we lost electricity for 3 days last month, the generator turned itself on and the automatic transfer switch "took over" our electric panel, with no disruption in heat, light or any of our electric fixtures. No mess, no need to go out into the snowstorm, no need to fill fuel tanks. Great people to work with!

Rockler Woodworking & Hardware is a retail-store chain that sells woods, hardware, power tools,…read morehand tools, and more in stores across the country. Merchandise includes woods (e.g., domestic, exotic, plywood, and veneer), hardware (e.g., slides, hinges, and knobs), power tools (e.g., routers, planers, saws, sanders, and drills), hand tools (e.g., clamps, chisels, tape measures, and screwdrivers), etcetera. I have not done serious woodworking in many years, but this store offers merchandise that is of use to me, such as sanders, glues, and stains. During my recent visit, an employee asked me if I needed any assistance and was courteous rather than pushy. The shelves were fully stocked and well organized, and I found what I wanted. As for prices, I did compare many of this store's prices to a competing online retailer's prices, and some were lower, and some were higher. I want to also mention that this store offers woodworking classes in which you can learn to make a pepper mill, bowl, vase, and more. According to an informational sheet, each class is roughly a few hours long and costs over $100.

I would recommend giving wood turning a try for sure!!
