01 August 2024 / Thursday…read more Going to Chicago to attend a family event scheduled for this weekend. I needed a ride to Fort Myers RSW Airport. No one was available to provide me with transportation to RSW. So I booked passage with Surfside Airport Shuttle Service. My ride , scheduled for a 10:00 a. m. Pickup , arrived a few minutes early. Kimberly was my driver and we enjoyed a pleasant conversation en route to the airport. I was the only passenger as the service is exclusive. I noticed that the van in which I was being driven was very clean , inside and outside. This is a small family owned business. The fare was $56.00 for one person or two. More than two people and the price is increased. But 2 can travel for the same price as one, $56.00. We arrived at RSW Airport in plenty of time for me to catch my flight. If in need of airport transportation I would recommend Surfside Airport Shuttle Service. The service is prompt , clean and dependable. My only gripe is that they don't have a credit card device in the car. Your options are to pay in cash or allow the driver a moment to call the office to tell them your credit card info over the phone. What century are they in? It is my own fault that I did not ask them what the cost would be ahead of time. However they are located on a small resort island, and it would be helpful and not difficult for them to post the price of an airport run on their website, or tell you what the charge will be, as well as their way of accepting payment in their confirmatory email.

As a result, the people who were going to pick me up originally were unable to do so. And I needed to get to Captiva, about an hour away from the airport. I called two other limousine companies and they had no availability. That actually turned out to be a blessing because Ambassador Transportation was outstanding in absolutely every respect! The driver came in an SUV (very nice I may add) and she was having trouble getting in. After she tried a couple times, unsucccessfully, to get in, the driver scooped her up and gently placed her inside the vehicle.
