Convenient parking for getting your relatives out of the baggage claim area and into the car. Just walk out, cross the street, and you are there. When I dropped off my sister, I asked for and was given a pass to keep her company while she waited for the plane. If you want a pass to go to the gate when they arrive, no can do. This airport seems to stack its takeoffs and landings at certain times. All five gates were busy, and there was hardly any room to sit while waiting for them to start loading the plane. Once the flights loaded and departed, the airport was devoid of people. It's a little over an hour from where I live, and I-75 was moving well.

Bathrooms also had lots of stalls, which was nice. Terminal C is currently under construction so there aren't a lot of places to eat - there's a sit-down restaurant, some vending machines that give you hot and cold food (White Castle, Wow Bao, Cheesecake Factory desserts), a bagel place, a Starbucks, and that was about it (not really bad considering there's only eight gates, I suppose). Overall I liked this airport and would fly through here again if needed.

We would fly in as often as we could. Mrs. K. came in more often than I did because she could manipulate her schedule. So we are having a major expansion of this airport. My little mind cannot figure out what they are doing, but it's going to be a huge facility when they are finished. In my opinion, the inconvenience of the expansion has been minimal. Wouldn't it be cool if we had more direct flights to Europe?

This is a very nice moderately sized airport that is fairly easy to traverse…read more After checking in you will board a train to your gate and then clear security after you disembark from the train. TSA pre-check is available, and I read that Clear will soon be available here as well. There is a wide variety of shopping and dining both before clearing security and after. An Admiral's Club is available if you're flying American. The gate areas are modern and spacious, and the airport has a very nice open and modern atmosphere. Overall this is a very pleasant airport to travel through!

For being in a town known for its frequent Lightning (you know, the whole hockey team named after the natural phenomenon), they completely botched the design and forgot to include an adequate number of bridges for the planes at the gates. If there's any lightning in the area, you can't get off your plane. There's routinely lightning here, if not more often than almost any place in the United States. Unlike their nearby TPA, they not only botched the design, but as the airport continues to expand and be renovated, they continue to ignore this fundamental part of airport construction. But then again, why spend the money, when you can just leave your customers on the tarmac over and over again, even when there's no rain, when the other airports in the area have all seem to have figured this out?

Disabled…read morepeople with golf carts could gain access to the racetrack using the road you see beyond the gate. The only time this gate is open now is during the 12 Hours of Sebring. There are dozens of other races that people in the adjacent neighborhood would like to attend utilizing this access point. However, the Management of the Airport close and lock the gate. It would be nice if the 'powers that be' would open the gate during every event. It also sounds like the airport authority and the Spring Lake Improvement District are having a battle over storm water runoff, and the only people who are suffering are the residents of Spring Lake. Not cool.
