I would not recommend Bone Dry. Lack of communication, organization, and professionalism…read more On February 2nd we had someone come out to quote us for some shingle repairs and a water test for $550. We were told that we would get a call from someone to schedule our repairs. One full month later on March 2nd, I had not heard back from them. After multiple phone calls and conversations, we did get someone to come out on March 10th for the repairs. I was told that Bone Dry does not do time frames for arrivals so I took a half day off of work. I was told they would be there sometime after noon. At 3 PM when I still hadn't heard from anyone, I called in. No one was going to come out that day if I did not call in, but we did finally get someone out to the house around 4 PM. I would not have had to take a day off of work if I would have known this. I had to call in multiple times just to get this day scheduled and multiple times to get them to actually come out on the day we scheduled. On this March 10th repair date, the shingles were fixed but the water test did not happen. I was told that there was no need for the water test because the repair man knew what was wrong. My first thought was -- well then why isn't this guy the one doing the quotes? Our guy who came and did the quotes told us we needed a water test. I was also told that we would still have to pay the full $550 because it cost $175 just for them to come out (a manager eventually told us that would only have to pay for the shingle repairs and not the water test). At this March 10th repair, I was told that Bone Dry would be in contact to fix the additional problem that the repairman found (insulation). I was also told that when this new repair happens we would pay for our total bill then. So on March 10th he left and I didn't pay anything. I never heard anything else from Bone Dry. So of course we went another direction with our work. 44 days later from the March 10th repairs Bone Dry sent us a text message saying we were late with our payment by 44 days. I never had a chance to pay because I was never contacted again. The bill did not include the water test though which was good. But we did have to pay $388 for about 20 min of shingle repairs and our main problem (insulation) not resolved.

I gave the 1 star bc his workers were cordial and worked hard. Craig came by at the end of the day to collect payment. We discussed that there were 3 things left to be done, secure one piece of fascia, attach one of the elbows to one of the downspouts and finish painting the replaced shake. 30 minutes worth of work at max. Craig said that they would be by in the morning to finish the job. I paid him because I could not imagine that a business person would risk their personal and business reputation over 30 minutes worth of work. After not seeing or hearing from him the next day, I texted him and he responded that they would be there the following Monday. Monday came and went. I waited until Wednesday to call. He did not answer so I left a message. No response. I called or texted for 2 weeks. He has never responded and the work is still not done. There are many reputable gutter companies out there. I would strongly recommend a different company but if you choose to use Craig Smith/Rock Gutters Home Services DO NOT issue payment until the job is complete. Check very carefully because he will not be back to finish the job if he gets his money.

Travis came out very promptly and performed a thorough exterior inspection, including a drone inspection. I was extremely impressed. He provided a detailed report along with a large number of photos showing exactly what he found. More importantly, he took the time to explain which issues could potentially cause problems down the road and which were primarily cosmetic. He also explained what should be done to properly correct the problems. Travis spent a lot of time answering my questions and listening to my concerns. He never rushed me, never put down the contractor who installed my roof, and never tried to turn the inspection into a sales pitch. He simply explained what he saw, why it mattered, and what he recommended. I felt 100% better after talking with Travis because I finally had a clear understanding of the condition of my roof and what needed to be addressed. I certainly wish I had known about Travis and Forever Metal Roofing before having mine installed. Based on my experience with him, he would be at the top of my list.
