But sometimes my Amazon order hasn't come through or maybe Rouses didn't have the fancy deodorant that I like. That's where Walgreens comes in. It is the perfect place for me to pick up one or two items when I need them. That's where this location comes in. I have been here so many times just for one single item that you'd think I was forgetful or something. Wait, where was I? Located at the intersection of 90 and 603, this is the place you need to stop if you're on the coast and forgot something. Sunscreen? check Floats for the pool or beach? check Hipster deodorant? check The list goes on and on. By the way, they have Redbox too. I'm not sure why anyone gets Redbox in the age of streaming, but it's there if you need it.

The staff has become extremely rude and disrespectful. I once waited over 30 minutes in the drive-thru, only to be told they wouldn't use a Walgreens RX coupon because of the "line of people." I was forced to come inside, where employees were laughing and making comments about me for using a coupon. When I called them out, I was told, "I wasn't talking about you." Since then, my prescriptions have repeatedly been delayed or canceled. Even when I request them days ahead, I've shown up to find they haven't been started and have waited over an hour. I'm supposed to take my medication every night, and their delays have actually caused me to miss a dose. On top of that, no one answers the phone. I tried speaking with a manager and was told someone higher up would contact me after I left a review. No one ever did. After years of being a customer, I've transferred my prescriptions elsewhere and will never use this pharmacy again. Absolutely unacceptable.

The kicker is that I didn't want to use a random ATM in the city based on potential legitimacy issues. Only to get scammed by a billion dollar corporation. The self scan machines let you enter AND PAY for the cash back, and then throw an error and you're unable to get money out. No employee (including the manager) will reverse it, give you the money or do anything other than say "I assure you it didn't charge, it'll fall off your account". Or being told to fight it with my bank. I assure you, we've been back home for 3 weeks, it very much didn't fall off, and I have now been wasting my time with chargebacks through my bank. The store needs some TLC conditionally, and a little bit more attention to cleanliness wouldn't hurt. Service was super friendly and welcoming, which was a redeeming quality for this location. Overall, solid 3.5, but the cashier really made our day. We wandered in for a soda and drink, and got what we were after, but if we needed more than that, we would probably go elsewhere due to price point. But again, this spot came in clutch when needed.

The pharmacist has always been very helpful, however as was recently announced, that service will soon end, as they're closing the pharmacy in June and moving customers' prescriptions to the 900 Canal (& Baronne) Street location. On recent visits I've noticed limited inventory in other departments, leading me to question the long-term plans for this once-thriving Walgreens store.
