They did an excellent job of diagnosing the issue with our bike, and it was fixed quickly at a great price.

I was looking around for awhile for custom brat style motorcycle. I came across Steel Bent Customs…read more I paid my deposit and began researching what I wanted. The process was slow but I understood it would be exactly what I wanted. 3/4 though the design process I got in bad accident and didn't think a motorcycle was a good idea. I contacted Michael and he said I could only get 1000 or the 4000 I put down. He convinced me that I would be happy with my build and it would be worth it. So I went through with it. Many times throughout the process my questions were not answered. This should of been a red flag. I had the bike shipped from FL to CA. I so excited. The bike arrived and it wouldn't start. It was leaking oil from 3 different places and I could hear metal on metal on cylinder 5. He told me to try and few things still wouldn't start. He said take it to local shop to get it looked at. I assumed he would pay for repairs. He paid $250 maybe? I'm now $1000 in for repairs and the following things have been found. I fully rusted out tank. One of the compression on all cylinders is minimum 10psi under what it should be one is 20. The rear tire was put on backwards. It is still leaking from crank case. The headlight stopped working. I can get it started but will never hold idle even with choke fully on. I could go on and on but I won't. This is all your need to BUYER BEAWARE DO NOT BUY BUILDS FROM HIM. He does not stand behind his product. He won't even answer my messages anymore. I miss the old days when two men could fight out their differences. No I must resort to leaving reviews everywhere. His products aren't worth the money or headaches. Way better builders out there.

My experience with Steel Bent Customs and Michael Mundy was so bad that I have a complaint filed…read morewith the Attorney General of Florida, the Florida DMV, the FLHSMV, as well as BBB. Michael put together a motorcycle ("Ginger", a triumph) for me back in 2014. The title never made it to me (or was lost? I don't know), but more importantly, Michael never registered the motorcycle in his name, and couldn't get me a title. He committed what in most states (Florida as well, I believe) is a felony by "title jumping", perhaps to avoid tax? I don't know. The next problem is that the motorcycle has a lien on it, so Michael bought a motorcycle without doing a lien search. Now, I'm left with a motorcycle that's been a paperweight for years, and for years, I've tried to get Michael to help me out. He's unprofessional, doesn't believe that he has to confide by the dealership laws that are in place, simply because he hasn't registered as a dealer. Michael has failed to help, or try, despite me asking him to go to the DMV locally to discuss with him. Don't use SteelBent Customs is my suggestion. Shady practices, mediocre work, and the guy doesn't have a clue how to run a business. Otherwise, when Michael buys you a donor bike, you might not get a title, and you might be left with a bike that's been sitting in your garage for 5 years, a title with a lien on it, titled under a guy named "Eric", who Michael paid cash, who will ultimately always own your bike.

He's rude on the phone and did absolutely nothing to fix the problem. Didn't offer to lessen my bill or anything told me he could paint it black when my bike is red and original 30-year-old paint. Among lots of work, Greg's listed on invoices, carbs removed, rebuilt, re-installed, labor including installing new fuel lines. There also was a line item for fuel line, $8. The bike wouldn't start. I checked, no fuel getting to the carbs. I pulled the fuel lines to the carbs, fuel pump dumped tons of rubber gunk into my tupperware (see photo). Fuel lines were not replaced, 28 year old fuel line. Rubber gunk clogging carburetor entry, now needing carbs pulled and cleaned. Sold the bike as a not running project, rather than re-do that work. I wrote Greg personally, asked him to at least refund a small labor portion to the customer. He lied to me and said the invoice for gas line replacement (along with carb rebuilding, of course they should be replaced at 28 years old) and the line item charging for the fuel line, "was a typo". He wouldn't budge, and wouldn't apologize, that is the size up of integrity, with Greg, Greg's Cycles.
