It's so nice to get local delicious Brazilian food. I have tried several of their food plates, all have been really tasty. The food is really good, flavor, quality and presentation are amazing. As well as food plates, they also sell Brazilian bolinhos-i My favorites are their coxinha's and kibes! Now that i see they also have pasteis-I will try them next. The food is delivered warm and nicely packaged and delivery is good. I recommend this company-they have good quality food, delivered warm and ready to enjoy

This restaurant does not exist. It's something like a virtual kitchen. They should put that on here so people don't waste their trip.

Asking questions about allergens is not a matter of preference--it's a matter of safety. During these calls, I experienced repeated hang-ups while simply trying to get information about whether the restaurant could accommodate my allergies. Eventually, I was assured that my meal could be prepared without the ingredients I am allergic to, so I felt comfortable enough to place and pay for an order. Unfortunately, that was where the problems only got worse. After placing the order, I waited more than an hour and a half. During that time, I repeatedly attempted to contact the restaurant for updates and clarification. Instead of receiving assistance, my calls were repeatedly ignored or disconnected. It felt as though the restaurant was actively refusing to communicate after taking my payment. The most upsetting part of the experience was that after assuring me they could accommodate my allergies and accepting my money, I never received the level of communication or service that any customer should reasonably expect. When someone has food allergies, clear communication is essential. Being unable to get answers about an order involving allergens is stressful and unacceptable. What should have been a straightforward transaction turned into an exhausting experience filled with confusion, unanswered questions, and a complete lack of customer service. I spent considerable time trying to reach someone, waiting for an order, and attempting to resolve the situation, only to be met with silence and disconnected calls. I understand that restaurants get busy and mistakes can happen. However, repeatedly hanging up on a customer, failing to communicate after taking payment, and leaving someone waiting for over an hour and a half without meaningful updates is not acceptable. Customers deserve honesty, respect, and basic communication--especially when food allergies are involved. This was one of the most frustrating restaurant experiences I have had, and unfortunately I cannot recommend Bacalhau Grill based on the way this situation was handled.

When we first went, the restaurant was running special promotions--$49.99 per person for the dinner buffet and a Wagyu steak for two (with the full all-you-can-eat buffet included) for $155. We tried both during two separate visits, and the food was so delicious we couldn't resist coming back the very next weekend. (According to the restaurant, these promotions have since ended, but the quality of the food makes it worth visiting regardless.) The service was equally impressive. Felipe, the manager/host, was welcoming, patient, and very thorough in explaining the menu. Our server, Lays, was outstanding as well--she made our anniversary dinner feel so special and even surprised us with a complimentary dessert. Food-wise, the ribeye, sirloin, filet mignon, and garlic shrimp were my favorites--perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The grilled pineapple and fried bananas added the perfect sweet touch. On our second visit, we ordered the Wagyu steak, and it was phenomenal: tender, juicy, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Even as I write this, I find myself craving it all over again. I highly recommend Show De Carnes under its new ownership--it's one of the best dining experiences we've had in San Jose!

Normally this would be ok if GV were not a high-end restaurant. The service is really below the expectation. I just tried to double confirmed my dish when I heard a different name from the server. When I asked the question, the server was clearly annoyed and gave us an attitude... Please note, this is like the only question we asked during our whole dining time!!! Food is ok, and it's the one and only reason why this is a two star not one.

Each item was about $4-5 each. Service was fast and friendly Pastel de nata (4.5/5): I really enjoyed it, the crust was perfectly flaky and the egg filling was creamy! My only complaint is that there was a bit too much egg filling, compared to the crust, so the ratio was a bit off. I would come back for these! Malasadas (3/5): good sweetness but I thought the texture of it was overly thick and dense. I'm no expert but I prefer them soft and fluffy. I preferred the no filling to the sweet egg cream filling

The pastéis de nata was created by the monks in order to survive after the monastery was dissolved. That same recipe is still being used at that shop to this very day. Although I wasn't expecting a replica of the original, I did expect it to capture the core characteristics of a Portuguese egg tart. That said being said, I think the crust isn't bad but the texture of the custard more like a gel than a custard. Also I couldn't really taste any custard flavor.

Milohas (mil hojas) means a thousand layers in Spanish, and one taste of Milohas' pastries will make you understand why they picked that moniker. The Good: * Large shared parking lot * Friendly service * Covered outdoor dining * The crust of the empanadas was buttery, flaky, and delicious. All the fillings were good, but you have to try the Hawaiian filling! It was truly fantastic and had us wishing that's all we'd ordered. * Guava Finger has the same perfect crust and tasty guava jam--I could eat a dozen of these and come back for more. *oink oink* * Carissa really enjoyed their lentil soup. I didn't try it, so I can't comment. The Meh: * I kind of prefer the chunks of meat in Peruvian empanadas to the ground meat in Colombian ones, but that's just a personal preference. It was still delicious, so at the end of the day, it's all academic. The Ugly: * No indoor dining, and outdoor dining is limited to only a handful of seats.
