This restaurant does not exist. It's something like a virtual kitchen. They should put that on here so people don't waste their trip.

Not only an eatery, there's also a market. Sadly, we weren't able to go through it. Save that for next visit. The restaurant is very comfortable and quite busy. Our friends (who are in the know) say it's more of a small Brazilian bistro; no matter, the food and the service are the attraction. Both top rate. Plenty of tables but most are already occupied. The large screen in the background is showing a Portuguese Euro Cup match. The host and staff were fantastic. The whole experience very rememberable. I really hope we make it back!

Too long waiting; I sat for a long time until get my orders; no water served and I needed to ask for it about three times. No utensils served until asked for. I ordered a plate of Cod but wasn't amazed by it. A bit dry and not much flavor. The juices are great (I have the "cajá " and it was super delicious). The plate of picanha and creamy cod were really good - definitely worth it. The place is ok, clean and no fancy. Very casual and cozy with live music on some Fridays. Price for the plates were good, but not for a one small single rissole that cost $3.00

When we first went, the restaurant was running special promotions--$49.99 per person for the dinner buffet and a Wagyu steak for two (with the full all-you-can-eat buffet included) for $155. We tried both during two separate visits, and the food was so delicious we couldn't resist coming back the very next weekend. (According to the restaurant, these promotions have since ended, but the quality of the food makes it worth visiting regardless.) The service was equally impressive. Felipe, the manager/host, was welcoming, patient, and very thorough in explaining the menu. Our server, Lays, was outstanding as well--she made our anniversary dinner feel so special and even surprised us with a complimentary dessert. Food-wise, the ribeye, sirloin, filet mignon, and garlic shrimp were my favorites--perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The grilled pineapple and fried bananas added the perfect sweet touch. On our second visit, we ordered the Wagyu steak, and it was phenomenal: tender, juicy, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Even as I write this, I find myself craving it all over again. I highly recommend Show De Carnes under its new ownership--it's one of the best dining experiences we've had in San Jose!

He was very welcoming and talked me into getting a pastry. I got the bauru de Frango and it was very good. Flavorful. Similar to the filling of a coxinha but with a pastry exterior. They have lunch specials per day. So if you miss a specific item on say Tuesday, they'll have it again the following Tuesday. The fruit mousses are very sweet though since they sweeten it with condensed milk. I tried the guava once. Mango juice was like elevated sunny delight. They sell lots of frozen items like the cheese bread to enjoy at home. Check it out!

The lamination and butter was spot on. The filling was just a touch too sweet for us. Had the original and the apple cinnamon. Didn't except the apple to be a fave, but it was. Think of an elevated apple pie or even an elevated McDonald's apple pie. Don't skip out, try it ! Also had the coconut brioche, very light but not much coconut flavor. Even the malasadas were underwhelming and if you think they are similar to Leonard's, then this does not come close. For the Portuguese tarts, they were served a bit cold. I'd recommend reheating them. The crust was so oily it seeped through the napkin and the filling was overly sweet. I took one bite and couldn't finish it. Overall, the texture and flavor didn't meet expectations. Service was decent but the staff were not friendly. This was a bit of a letdown. If you can, I'd suggest driving or taking the train to SF for this better spot, Holy Nata. It was so much better.

You Guava be Kidding Me…read more A bakery and juicery that has been serving up delicious Colombian specialties since 1999 in Colombia, before emigrating to the US and opening up shop here in Cambrian Park in 2014. Milohas (mil hojas) means a thousand layers in Spanish, and one taste of Milohas' pastries will make you understand why they picked that moniker. The Good: * Large shared parking lot * Friendly service * Covered outdoor dining * The crust of the empanadas was buttery, flaky, and delicious. All the fillings were good, but you have to try the Hawaiian filling! It was truly fantastic and had us wishing that's all we'd ordered. * Guava Finger has the same perfect crust and tasty guava jam--I could eat a dozen of these and come back for more. *oink oink* * Carissa really enjoyed their lentil soup. I didn't try it, so I can't comment. The Meh: * I kind of prefer the chunks of meat in Peruvian empanadas to the ground meat in Colombian ones, but that's just a personal preference. It was still delicious, so at the end of the day, it's all academic. The Ugly: * No indoor dining, and outdoor dining is limited to only a handful of seats. Conclusion: We've been on the hunt for the best empanadas in the South Bay, and we finally found them.

I wanted to get some desert items but they seemed to have very few things to choose from. I would have asked questions but inside the store was strangely loud and the woman who helped me was a low talker so I couldn't understand anything she was saying to me as it was. The empanadas are pretty large, as are the prices. $17 for the two. At this price point I was glad I decided not to buy more. Each comes with a tiny side of aji green sauce. They could have been more generous here. I found the spinach to be very salty and more breading than filling. The chicken one was a letdown. Chicken was lacking any flavor. For both the pastry was dry. Was only able to eat half of each and threw the rest away. Not really the kind of place you dine in for. You order at the counter and there is limited seating inside (in a way that makes you not want to dine in), and a few seats outside. Plenty of parking in the shopping center lot. This visit and subsequent review makes me feel sad. I want to support these unique, independent eateries but they make it difficult when the quality doesn't meet the high cost. Improvements would be to reevaluate their recipes, make the pastries less dry and dense, and maybe don't be so skimpy on the fillings.
