I discourage everyone from contacting their beloved pet with this place, especially with Dr…read more Weissbach, who lacks professionalism and empathy, sent my dog back with an ear infection, claiming that it was a superficial change, probably caused by my dog's allergy. When the ear pain worsened after a few days, I went to this clinic again. I didn't give up when they wanted to make an appointment for me only in 3 days. My dog needed help immediately. And only because the obvious infection was previously ignored. Effect? Yeast in both ears. Before this happened, I made an appointment for neutering. During a visit preparing for the procedure, and after checking my dog's teeth, Weissbach suggested removing the dental calculus in the neutering procedure, which I gladly agreed to, as it would spare the dog from having to go to anesthesia twice. However, after I dared to point out the doctor's lack of professionalism, it turned out that the earlier proposal to remove the calculus no longer valid. It was explained to me by a rude manager that it was impossible, that the doctor offered such a thing to me, that I must have understood it wrong, and that it was Dr. Weissbach word that counted, not mine. The whole conversation revolved around the opinion, unspoken loudly by the manager, but conveyed suggestively between the words, that I didn't understand because... English is not my native language. Due to such behavior, I did not allow the castration to be carried out, I took the dog and I will never go back there again. I should have done it several years earlier, when I went to them with my dog, which was suffering from severe stomach pain and refused to eat or drink. Since the dog is allergic, after examination the doctor said that it was definitely a consequence of allergies and prescribed him medications. The dog was still suffering, so we went to the emergency room at Tufts Hospital at night. And it turned out that the cause was not an allergy, but a bottle cap that my dog had swallowed. I cannot add that an intestinal sensitivity and gluten allergy, even though AEC took care of my dog, were diagnosed only by Tufts Hospital. Lack of professionalism, dishonesty, manipulation of facts, prejudice based on nationality, that's what happened to me. I think this place should be subjected to some control by a higher authority. IF YOU WANT YOUR ANIMAL TO LIVE, GO ELSEWHERE!…read more I took my 4 and 1/2 year old pure bred english springer spaniel to ACE for a "routine" teeth cleaning after Thanksgiving. Dropped him off at 8:30AM. They said to call around lunch to check on him as he needed to be anesthetized for the procedure. By 9:45AM, my personal phone was blowing up while I was on work calls on my other phone. Numerous messages were left asking me to call them immediately. One message stated that they over anesthetized my dog and could not resuscitate him. When I finally got a chance to call them to ask what was going on, the office manager had the audacity to tell me "Don't worry Mr. Auber, we are not going to charge you for the cleaning today" as if that was my biggest concern or even a thought at the moment. Finally spoke to the questionably qualified "Dr. A." who killed my dog. She said before they proceeded with the anesthetic, they ran routine blood work to make sure all was in order. Over the phone on speaker, she told my family that my dog's white blood cell count was high but ACE decided to proceed at risk. I asked for a copy of the blood work report and the blood work report shows his WBC was actually low. This changing in story as the morning progressed should raise flags in your opinion of using ACE as they obviously do not have true handle and straight story on a grave situation. Additionally, either high or low, no one from ACE called me directly and asked me if I wanted them to proceed at risk! So now my dog is dead at the hands of Dr. A and Animal Care Experts all over a basic tooth cleaning that wasn't necessarily needed! He wasn't 15 years old going in for a heart procedure! They then told me they would like to send Graham to a partner animal hospital of theirs to have a Necropsy (Autopsy) performed. I quickly shut them down and said you are sure not sending him to one of your partner hospitals (as the cynic in me feared the necropsy results would favor ACE to no wrong doing). I made sure they sent my deceased beloved dog to Tufts Animal Hospital in Grafton and when I directed them to send him there, you could hear their voices tremble! I further asked about cremation planning for after the necropsy was completed and again, ACE, in amazingly cold hearted fashion initially stated that they will email me a list of websites that do animal cremations and I can set it up and pay on line if I wish. Ultimately, ACE was putting the cost of the cremation of my pet back on me. How negligent, reckless, and heartless can one place be in the span of half a day!!! By the end of the day, they eventually came around and offered to cover the cremation and have him returned to ACE for my pick up. But once I mentioned I had spoken to an animal rights attorney, they quickly turned face and said I could go pick up my cremated dog on my own time and they don't want me on their property any longer. Their insurer, Hanover Insurance, called me a few days later and quickly informed me that in the state of Connecticut, a pet is considered "property" just like the fence in your yard. The vet is responsible for basically nothing and can go on negligently killing dogs at minimal cost to them or their insurer!!! So heed caution when choosing ACE in Thompson CT when there are 5 other vets within 4 miles north of there in Webster MA. At least in Mass, the Vets have reason for being held accountable and to not "proceed at their own risk"! Please spread the word as I have far and wide in our local community about the negligence wielded by Dr. A. and Animal care experts! Don't let your loving perfect dog or cat be next!

Debbie at the front desk is very nice and the other vet is also pleasant. There are 2 vets, one is the owner and he and the other vet always seemed to have different opinions on what was wrong with my pets at any given time. At the end he threatened me in a email to tell all the other vets in the area not to take me on as a client. Who does that? Cause you didnt like what I said? I didnt swear or threaten just told them it wasnt safe for my dog to come in there and I was done. FYI, apparently the other vets didnt care about his opinion ...sad to treat a long time customer with disrespect . Think twice is all I have to say about Post Rd

Do not USE THIS VET! I brought my dogs urine sample in to be checked, got the results by email…read moresaying he needs blood work and X-rays. I call right away and they say he can't be seen until December 2 or 9 which was 2-3 weeks away.. I did not get a call from the ROB NICHOLSON the so called vet explaining anything. Back and forth with a few more phone calls to them and guess what? STILL CANT EVEN SPEAK THE THE ACTUAL DOCTOR. They told me I cannot come in any other day expect on a Tuesday for X-rays and bloodwork. Well I'm sorry my dog was dying on a Wednesday. They finally said I can come in next week rather than waiting 2-3 weeks. I took my sweet dog to the animal hospital and come to find out he has kidney failure with only a couple days to live. After I leave the hospital I call post road, in actual tears, talking to the receptionist for a second opinion and guess what? They put me on hold to ask the doctors questions and STILL WOULDNT talk to me as my dog as staring at me DYING. No call back asking how he is, NOTHING. This review isn't made up in slightest bit, and I am not some miserable person trying to shame a business nor do I ever even leave reviews. I just want everyone to realize that these people do not care about your animal and I can promise you that. I promise. Please be careful going to this place. My poor dog is not suffering anymore. But post road would have let my dog suffer and suffer until he died looking at me. If I can help one person by not going here I would be so happy.
