He was so apologetic for the issue because he tuned up the bike. He didn't need to be that apologetic but it shows the level of care they have at Matthews and their guarantee stands. He promised to refund half of the bogus "diagnostic" test. We did NOT receive a diagnosis. We did NOT have any proof of what was done to "diagnose" anything. David talked down to me in the store, belittling me like I didn't know what a diagnostic test was. That will never be something I am willing to take from anyone, especially not you David!!!! Stop taking advantage of people and then threaten them to take down honest reviews!!! Most recently, this clown threatened my wife to only return half of the money if a different review was removed. (Google) Not going to happen, bud. The truth hurts sometimes, David. Honest reviews are the consequences of being a shady, dishonest, misogynistic business owner.

One of the Best Experiences I've Ever Had!…read more We recently participated in a team scavenger hunt with Pedego Electric Bikes Indy and it was an absolute blast! As someone who hadn't ridden a bike in over 20 years, I was a little nervous -- but the electric bikes were incredibly easy to maneuver and so much fun to ride! Scot and Cathy, the wonderful owners, made the entire experience smooth, welcoming, and memorable. Their kindness and passion for what they do really shines through. I'm new to Indy, so solving the clues and discovering local landmarks added an extra layer of excitement. Chatting with Scot and Cathy to see if we guessed correctly made our victories even sweeter! And of course, I can't forget the real stars of the show -- Hamilton and Schuyler, the adorable "employees of the month," who greeted us with wagging tails and made us feel right at home. I may be a little biased (our team did win, after all), but this was hands down one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had. Whether you're a local or just passing through, I highly recommend checking them out. Pedego Indy is an absolute gem!

I have been in occasionally to get other supplies as their variety and selection is superb! Their inventory includes all sorts of bikes that you could need, including Electric, Road, Mountain, and Hybrid/City bikes. They have also increased their inventory with the acquisition of Gray Goat, allowing them to carry Specialized bikes. The sales staff are always helpful and will go out of their way to get you what you need (even ordering a bike in the size that would fit you best). Prices are high, but I think they're around what you'd find at other bike shops. Unfortunately, cycling is an expensive hobby/activity. If you do purchase a bike, they do install accessories (for free in my experience), so you could add a pannier rack, bottle cage, light mounts, and more to your bike before even taking it home! To give you inspiration for some rides, there is also a map in the back of the store showing the local Indy trails and recommended routes to explore. In addition to bike supplies, gear, and clothing, they also sell fitness equipment like treadmills, bike trainers, etc. at this location, but I haven't really explored that section of the store. The only thing I would note is that I would not recommend getting here via bike, as 82nd Street is a very busy thoroughfare and the surrounding area is very car-centric, unfortunately. But otherwise, it is a great store with pretty much everything you could need to get riding!

They have several bike options but I've always gotten the double or single surrey bike. You can fit 4 adults or a couple of adults and many kids. The staff is so helpful and explains how to operate the surrey. There's a helpful map that also has their phone number in case you fall into the canal or something. Only kidding! You won't... It's such a fun way to bop around the canal and take in the sites! Double surrey is $39/hour.
