I noticed Quinoa Corner on Hialeah Drive from driving by, as well as yelp photos from one of the original healthy yelpers so now that I've been serious on my fitness I decided to give it a try. A grain with about 40 fewer calories and twice the protein of rice, Quinoa lets you enjoy your favorite rice and pasta dishes while still being healthy. Their menu consists of comfort staples like chicken and rice, or pancakes, but with quinoa instead. They have a fridge with freshly-made items off their menu (made for the day until they run out) and believe they can custom make an order upon request. It's a family run shop, and they took the time to go over their menu and nutritional facts. They also have a printout of calories, proteins and carbs for you to track your meal. My lunch consisted of their Thai Chicken Quinoa Bowl, consisting of well packed grains, fresh leaves, red peppers and spicy chicken & sauce. (Yes, healthy doesn't have to mean bland!) It was literally my second time trying quinoa and I loved it. Right now they're only open during lunchtime Monday to Saturday, and it's only for takeout / delivery. Finally a place where I can get healthy and nutritious food quickly! The premise behind this place is to provide fresh meal options involving quinoa that you can pick up or have delivered. They even have a print out with the 9 benefits of quinoa for you information available to read or to take with you. This place is awesome. They have ready to go meals available that they can warm up for you on the spot or you can warm up later. My favorite meal options are the quinoa curry mustard chop chop. It's quinoa, pieces of chicken cut into square shapes and a side of curry mustard. My other go to meal is the quinoa pesto pasta with chicken. This pasta has pesto sauce and romano cheese. The food comes in a microwaveable container which is super convenient. The owners and the staff are friendly. There is parallel off street parking in front. It's open Monday-Friday from 11-5. You can get the food delivered to you through Uber eats. I will continue to swing by and try other items off the menu. Keep in mind that this place is take out only. I would drive by Quinoa Corner all the time and wonder what was behind the door. A little over a week ago I finally parked my car to check out this place. I was pleasantly surprised by how organized and clean the food items are. The owners were very friendly, went over the choices available and even gave me a list of the food items and calories. This is not the kind of place to go if you want a "pig out" super filling meal. However, if you are looking for a fast, healthy alternative this is a great little place. I walked in and was immediately greeted. I was told all about the concept and was explained all their fridge items. Note: this is all pre-packaged food so although fresh, you'll need to heat it up somewhere. Thankfully there's a microwave at work. I picked the Quinoa Chop Chop which was very light but also very filling. I can't get enough of the curry mustard! For $9 it was a fairly priced healthy lunch option. So anyplace that serves tasty vegetarian options will win my heart. A friend told me about this place and we had been wanting to go for lunch and decided to go today. This is only a take out spot...like a previously prepared, grab and go type place. There is a small fridge with all of her thoughtfully prepared delights, packaged, labeled and ready for consumption. I had the quinoa sliders and the quinoa srirachi bites and both were really quite tasty. I wish I'd remembered to take a pic but I was too hungry. She's located in the middle of a small strip plaza with minimal parking. We ended up parallel parking on the corner and running in but since it was quick, we didn't have any problems. I really enjoyed my food. I took it back to work and put it in the microwave for a short time, although it's edible cold, I just wanted hot food. She adds small sauces to accompany each dish. Hialeah Drive especially is full of fast-food chains and processed food-like products so I really appreciate Quinoa Corner for opening up in this location. I love that Quinoa Corner has real food & offers Vegan options. I really enjoy their quinoa "no-meatloaf" with cauliflower mash, and quinoa spaghetti bolognese, as well as their quinoa minestrone soup, but my favorite is their quinoa moroccan chickpea bowl. Still have to try their quinoa penne pesto pasta with sautéed garlic and mushroom and quinoa tamale. Every dish is flavorful. I always order via Uber Eats because parking is a pain on that block and I try my best to avoid it; my only complaint is sometimes items are sold out and with only a few Vegan options as most of their items have chicken or meat, it becomes frustrating when they're out of your favorite dish. Just received my fourth order from Quinoa Corner and I have to say it never disappoints. I have no clue how the chef makes quinoa tastes this delicious, but whatever she's doing please don't stop! The spices, the flavors, the ingredients are all top notch and super fresh. I've had the Quinoa Pesto Pasta and Chicken, Quinoa Ginger Bowl, Quinoa Thai Chicken, Special Friend Quinoa and the Sriracha Bites and all are delicious! My top favorite has to be the Ginger Bowl because of that delicious roasted carrot and zucchini noodles. The owner/chef is the nicest lady and always there to help. WOOOOW! That is the word I have for this place. I was craving Zucchini noodles and the place I usually go to was closed. So I decided to look for a place that had it on Uber eats. I saw that Quinoa Corner had it and I ordered it. When i received it, it came in those meal prep containers and it had a sticker on it with all the ingredients. I loved that !! As soon as I opened it, it smelled so fresh and good. I tried it and OMG it was 100 times better than the place i usually go to. I went to this carry out restaurant a few weeks ago. I loved the no meat meatloaf. It was filled with delicious mushrooms with a side of creamy cauliflower mash. Everything is served cold, so you have to either heat it up when you get back home or to the office, or you can ask them to microwave it for you. Great place for lunch for healthy tasty food.
