We ate dinner at the Quincy's in Beuna Vista last night because we regularly visit the one in Florence. Disappointment is an understatement. My prime rib was grey and obviously not cooked that day. It was not even hot. This restaurant should shut its doors or go to the Leadville or Florence locations for training. I did not eat my steak and brought it home for the dog. I hope the dog will eat it. I should have sent it back to the kitchen but am too polite. read more

Only went here because everywhere else were on hour long waiting lists. Old style dark "Steak House" feel when we entered. One waitress handling the crowd of 8-10 tables when we first arrived. So far okay until she tells us the only thing we could order off the menu was either the Filet - all sizes. Or the Lasagne- vegetarian of course. I was hoping for Prime Rib- nope. Filet comes with baked potato and a salad. Only salad dressing is the "House"- a mixture of Honey Mustard and Ranch - so it's a sweet dressing. Not my kind - didn't have any other choice. Like everything else here. The worst part is when the steak is t even cooked right. I always order Medium Rare- Nope - definitely overcooked to Medium moving toward Medium Well! Love Quincy's!!!! If you're wanting a great steak meal, this is the place for you!! Perfectly cooked and melts in your mouth. Serviced with a side salad that they promptly bring out once they take your drink order. A giant baked potato perfectly cooked and a giant roll. They have vegan options if you aren't into meat. I want to like this place so much because I love a good home town, old school steakhouse. Limited menu - three items which is kinda fun. We were there on a Saturday which is prime rib day. For about $25 You get to pick the size, how it's cooked and how you want your potato. Loaded etc. Comes with horseradish, au ju, bread and an orange slice and side salad. Now for the rough. This place just felt dirty. The bathrooms were dirty, the chairs were dirty and it made me nervous about the food. Not gonna lie. Also the AC must have been broken because it was very muggy. Interesting concept, only two meals to choose from on menu and yet it works! The filet was not the best we've ever had and I would order a smaller size next time, but it was a solid meal with the salad, baked potato and delicious homemade bread. I visited this restaurant in beautiful Buena Vista, CO for the first time today upon the recommendation of a friend in the area. The restaurant was conveniently located on Route 24 in Buena Vista, there was plenty of parking, the outside of the restaurant looked average in my opinion, no one greeted me upon entering the restaurant (and I even had to get an employee's attention to seat me after waiting for a couple minutes at the greeter's desk at the entrance), the dining room looked like a typical Chinese restaurant, was finally seated at a table (there were very few customers in the restaurant, though it was 5:30pm), the the table/booth were clean, no menu was given to me, I ordered filet mignon as it was "filet mignon special night", my server was friendly and efficient, my meal (6 oz steak, baked potato, & side salad, total: $17) was served hot in 10 minutes, my steak tasted barely "good", and the steak sauce they gave me came in a small, unmarked bottle and were terrible!, potato and side salad were fine, there was no WiFi, and the restroom was clean and didn't smell. read more

Restaurant looks very old and very tired. We had a group of 14, the tables got set up after we arrived. The waitress passed out napkins and knives and forks to three different spots on the table where we had to get our own. When we ordered, she asked how we wanted our steaks cooked. We were also told they only had one kind of salad dressing and one kind of steak sauce. When the salads came out, we had to pass them down the table. When our meal came out, I could tell by looking at it that mine was extra well done. I tapped on the top with my fork and you could hear it. I mentioned to the waitress that I had ordered medium and she said, "you are just going to have to eat it because we don't have any more steaks." it works out that almost everyone ended up with a very well done steak. When time came to pay, we had to pay for the whole group. We could not pay for just our smaller group. I would not recommend this restaurant. And I will never go there again. So...I'm a bit confused with the 1 star ratings. Maybe just a bad night. Now, we didnt have lunch so we showed up after they opened, around 4:30. Being that early we were seated immediately, orders taken immediately. Bob waited on us, and can't say enough about how good he was. It was Prime Rib Saturday. My wife ordered the 8oz and I had the 12 oz. Salad was out immediately. Very fresh with a nice dressing. The dinners came out shortly after, and included a loaded baked potato and fresh hot bread. I thought my slice of meat was around medium versus medium rare but that's minimal. Absolutely delicious. Very nice au jus and horseradish. The $5 house margaritas are a must try. Filet Mignon, Prime rib and a vegetable lasagna. Of those 3 options - they didn't have the filet. So if you are in the mood for a very basic, but delicious prime rib - this is your place! Oh this was fun! It was packed so you might go early or make reservations. The menu is quite small but that keeps costs down and the service level high. We rather enjoyed it! We went on Friday so it was Prime Rib night. For those complain about nothing for vegetarians, they offered a Veggie Lasagna every day. For starters, our server "J" was prompt, polite, efficient and attentive! He is a pro who hustled his buns off! I was a bit shocked when the bill came and saw that we were charged $2.50 for EACH serving of perhaps 10 ounces of soda water. "J" went to the management and explained our surprise, resolving the issue. We had the veg lasagna and a wonderfully cooked prime rib. I've been to the Quincy's in Florence Colorado and the one in Leadville Colorado and had a very enjoyable experience. Last night, I went to the Quincy's in Buena Vista Colorado and all I could really say is whoa. Our server, who turned out to be the restaurant manager, was rude, disrespectful, and just generally inappropriate and hostile with my mother and my girlfriend. She argued and roll her eyes at my girlfriend. It was obvious to me she did not like women, which surprising me, because she was one. My girlfriend and my mother decided to have vegetarian lasagna because they did not want a steak. A few moments after ordering, our server came back and said that they only had one piece of lasagna available and it would take an hour to cook a new one. So after a little discussion, the ladies decided to split the one order of vegetarian lasagna. They told the server we're just gonna split the one order, but I don't think the server or the cook staff knew how to split an order. After going back-and-forth, the server looked at me for help. I told her how to split the order. I told her to split the lasagna and everything that comes with it in half. I didn't think it was that hard to figure out. When she came with the order, the lasagna was not divvied up and put on two separate plates. She just brought it out on one plate. I had to ask her to bring out a second plate and something to serve the lasagna with. I guess sharing an order was all too much for her to comprehend,. I can't imagine with all of the older people that came into the restaurant, they had never been asked to split an order. When she came back to ask if we needed anything else she only asked me. She didn't ask the ladies in my party, The baked potatoes were all undercooked and very hard. The lasagna is horrible!I I highly do not recommend it. My prime rib was very good on the other hand. They served a regular salad instead of the wedge salad that they serve at all of the other Quincy's restaurants which I thought was weird. This review was very difficult to bring myself to write. Keeping all factors in play while deciding what to write took a while. Had to continually remind myself this is #1 rural Colorado and #2 consider the folks running the place need their income to survive 2020. So I've landed in the middle at 3-stars, albeit, I feel it is a generous rating. Quincy's is a quaint little restaurant located off the main highway in Buena Vista. Dirt parking on both sides of the restaurant... they were not cleared despite the massive snow storm the day before... careful not to slip on the ice in the parking lot or on the sidewalks. The restaurant is just how the other reviews have described it... very dated, "kitchy" and could probably benefit from a nice scrub down from floor-to-ceiling. The staff was about as friendly as I guess you probably find rural Coloradoans to be... minimal. We were seated with the two-option.... Filet Mignon or Veggie Lasagna. I ordered wine... it came from a box... FROM. A. BOX.... $9 a glass... it was truly next to insufferable. Next time (there will not be a next time), just suffer dinner stone-cold-sober. The salads were... interesting? A glob of lettuce covered in their "special sauce" which was a bottle of knock-off Ranch mixed with a bottle of knock-off Thousand Island and globbed in HEAPS over the top of the salad. One bite assured me there would not be a second. Alright, let's get to the meat-and-potatoes of this review... see what I did there? Yeah. So, let's be very clear here folks... They advertise and sell their Filet Mignon by the ounce... I'm a farm boy from southern KS... I know my meats... this is in no way, shape or form actual Filet Mignon. Their "filets" are just cuts of roast, flash cooked on a super hot grill so you don't see the cut marks. Their "filet" was mostly fat globs... not beautiful marbling like you see in an actual FM... it was huge globs of fat. I don't feel as though I need to continue rambling. You get the picture. The potato was cold. The meat was undercooked, and not what was being advertised. We didn't even suffer the dessert... dinner was bad enough when they offered to box our dessert to go, we asked them not to. I'm still giving this a 3-star review. 2020 has been epically horrible and I have to appreciate any establishment that is still putting a paycheck in the pockets of their employees. We come here with my Dad often when we're in town. The Prime Rib is very, very good with excellent flavor and always perfectly done, (the staff will always ask how you'd like it). It's a simple menu, but they do it right. Loaded baked potato and great salad accompany the main dish. I always leave very full though because I completely clean my plate! read more

Q has a nice ambiance extremely comfortable dining with friendly, attentive waiters. The prices at this restaurant are relatively low, w/fine wait staff, but Q is for the ones that enjoy a casual (lower quality steak) type of 'steak'.
