There's an Ikea city store and Urban Behavior clearance store with all items $10 or less. This new information kiosk is kind of cool. Its setup like a smartphone with widgets. If you are looking to do some Xmas shopping this holiday season then definitely come here. The food offerings here are excellent as well. They got a huge food court with lots of delicous food offerings across the globe. You want more of a dine in experience? Visit Moxies, Jack Astors, Scaddabush, Milestones, Hibachi, etc. The washrooms here need more TLC. The cleaning staff need to clean more frequently to make it a more pleasant shopping experience.

There is a TV on each side of the food court depending on which way you're facing and it appears to always be set to Fairchild. The food court has notices that guests are restricted to a 60 minute sitting time. I've never been there that long so I'm not sure if it's enforced. I do always see maintenance wiping the tables and cleaning the trays so the tables are pretty comfortable. This little plaza really has everything you need!

On the inside, depending on the day, don't be surprised if there are a bunch of stores that are closed since most stores operate on their own schedule and not with that of the mall. There also are some empty stalls that kind of add to a weird ambiance. Speaking of, there are a ton of ginseng and Chinese health food stores in this mall. They're mostly owned by different people and they're all competing with each other so they will aggressively call you into the store which isn't really what I want to deal with on a leisurely walk. I have hit 4000 reviews on Yelp. Wow! I was at Kennedy Commons earlier today. It seems fitting to write about it. When I moved back to the greater Toronto area (GTA), I spent a lot of time at Kennedy Commons. It was a cool plaza with businesses that I loved. The best part of it was an AMC that had twenty theatres. Movie prices were cheap. I got free popcorn every so often. The seats were comfy. I loved the entire movie experience. I was sad when AMC left the GTA. This AMC in Scarborough was demolished. Although I still enjoy going to the movies, it's not the same. Businesses have come and gone over last couple of decades. I used to grab dinner with a friend after taking in a movie. We'd head over to Casey's Bar and Grill. A burger. A Diet Coke. Apple pie with vanilla ice cream. Such fond memories! Sunset Grill and Meridian Credit Union now occupy that spot. The former is a winner if you love breakfast items, but closes at 3 pm every day. I never shopped at Mr Big & Tall. It has since been replaced by Hakka Boyz and Dosa Boyz. Well, it's still on the guy side of things, I guess. Two other businesses that I loved were Cafe Mirage and Chapters. The former had good desserts and yummy food. I frequented it often. I miss Chapters. I have fond memories spending a lazy Sunday afternoon checking out books and having a drink at Starbucks. It shuttered for good in January 2024. Sears. Sears Whole Home. George Richards. Mr Greek. Golf Town. Rona. Made in Japan. Rest in plaza peace. These days, I'm fortunate that I have a bunch of stores at Kennedy Commons that I love: - Sunset Grill - Jollibee - Foody World - Metro - Michaels - Kinton Ramen New to the list is McDonald's that I frequented today. It's got a two-lane drive-thru. Yummy food. Fast and friendly service. Awesome! The Jollibee is the closest one to my home. Pineapple drink. Peach mango pie. Filipino spaghetti. Burger steaks. It's all good. The Foody World is awesome. Yummy frozen treats. Snacks. There's a CoCo bubble tea and a food court. The Metro used to be open 24 hours. It's now scaled back to a 10 pm closing time. Staff have always been super helpful. I remember coming here a few days after experiencing horrible food poisoning. I had enough strength to get broth and salted crackers at 9:30 pm. It felt so good having solid food again, albeit bland. I also got raw honey and celery after a long day. Markham lost its Michaels store years ago. This one is the closest one to me. It has everything that I need, from yarn to calligraphy ink. Kinton Ramen is delightful. I've always dined in. Staff are attentive. The ramen and gyoza are yummy. I also like the pig mirror in the washroom. I like this plaza a lot. I frequent this mall because it has easy access to Hwy 401 at Kennedy Road. This is especially advantageous if you exit eastbound Hwy 401 which allows direct access into Kennedy Commons. It's a breeze compared to travelling northbound on Kennedy Rd from Ellesmere Rd. Many business choices here including my favourites which I have posted separate reviews for; a super Metro store, a huge Foody World, plus all the other notables of Petsmart, LCBO, Jolibee, Kitchen Stuff Plus, and Chapters to name a few. It's a zoo atmosphere with parking but you can shop and dine all day without leaving this property.

This Winners was a shoe store (I'm thinking it was Globo) when this plaza first opened. I remember not enjoying my experience at this shoe store because there weren't any women's size 11 footwear to delight me. I am grateful for this Winners. I came here after work on a Thursday. I found a parking spot fairly close to the store and backed into it. I then walked in. I hit the jewellery section first. This store has a lot of fun pins. I loved the lobster and crab ones. The problem? I don't wear pins often. If I did, I would have bought them. This store had some great finds. I got a pair of tweezers with strawberries on them for $5. They work well! I liked the drinkware section. From glass tumblers to martini glasses, it has everything for everyone. The shoe section was fabulous. The women's size 11 section was amazing. I ended up getting a lightweight pair of Converse high-top sneakers with floral embroidery. They felt so good when I tried them on. I will say that putting away items needs help here. I had to move a stack of clothing on a bench so that I could sit down and try on the sneakers. I put them on the floor. Once I was done trying them on, I scooped up the pile of clothing and placed them bak on the bench. I was in the footwear section. Clothing shouldn't be there. The washrooms are at the back of the store. I didn't need to use the washroom, but it was good knowing its location. I also got a bag of Pur gum in grape. I like that this gum is sugar-free. I forget that the flavour dies fast. There wasn't a massive lineup at the checkout. I got a friendly man who scanned my Style+ card, followed by my items. I tapped my credit card to pay for my items. Done! He wished me a happy day. I reciprocated and left with my goods. I'm glad that I got to revisit this store. It's decent. I'd return again when I'm in the area. (195)

The consumer target market is drop-in customers as you can't shop on-line (...which is currently the case). On any given week they can stock a product you may never see stocked again. Other Winners stores may not have the same product on hand. If you like it, then I suggest you buy as you can always return it if you change your mind. My sweetie completed her professional browsing in under 25 minutes! She found a few things...but wanted more. Maybe next time...

There's a Guardian Pharmacy, a rehab centre, and more. Uptown Eye Centre offers medical services and has an optical centre. U Health also has a cafe. I tend to drop by Cafe Wanoka after my eye appointments. I like the sparkling drinks and Japanese-style sandwiches. The baked goods are also yummy. This centre recently added a Chatime. I have yet to visit it because my appointments tend to be in the morning and I am done well before Chatime's opening time of noon. I have never had any issues parking. There are plenty of spots. You simply have to be mindful pulling out of a spot, especially when your eyes are dilated! I drop by perhaps twice a year. I come here for my health and sparkling tea needs. It's a decent place. A few months ago, I dropped by to dine at Samosa Fusion with friends. This place offers an all-you-can-eat buffet with a special promotion at the time of $20 per person. I don't know if it has gone up in price, but it was regularly $25, which is still decent to stuff yourself silly. Next door to it is HK Garden. The Hong Kong-style milk tea (iced) stands out as being one of the best drinks I have had in a while. I recently did takeout from Great Fountain Fast Food. It's in the food court. The fried beef rice noodles were excellent. This combo came with soup and a drink. The hot and sour soup was amazing. I am still dreaming about the iced lemon drink, which was refreshing and so good if you are a lemon fan. This meal was less than $20. It was a great value for the quality of food and drink that I got. There is lots of parking at this plaza. I've seen it being fairly busy on a Saturday. It's fairly quiet after work on weekdays. I have been fortunate to not experience idiot drivers at this plaza, which is so refreshing! I am still working my way through the businesses. The Dynasty Center has been around for ages. The surrounding plazas have lost tenants over the…read moreyears and are mostly half empty but this one is mostly full. There are a lot of the same types of stores - multiple day spas, places to get your haircut, and of course a multitude of restaurants both on the perimeter and inside at the food court. The parking lot technically has arrows that point you down which way to park but I've seen them ignored so just be careful. If all the surface parking is gone, there is underground parking towards the back of the plaza. The entrance to the main plaza is not the most accessible. The buttons to open the door automatically don't work. Right now the food court is take-out only. All of the establishments are open. They had some hand sanitizer at the entrance to the food court from the inside and social distancing stickers in front of each of the restaurants. I did notice that at the leftmost restaurant they were allowing people to bring in their own containers to get take-out. Maybe not the best idea during Covid.
