I hosted my birthday last year there and it was fine but they are just not great with communication in general it seems. While my party date was still a month out, I had to find a place for a confirmed 20-person party near to Dave & Buster's since we were going there after. I also did not want to pay hundreds of dollars just to reserve a table or two. One brewery I called suggested I ask Sunset Terrace, which I did. Tyrone the owner answered and I was able to secure an area in the restaurant for my party, no charge. Tyrone called me about a week before my party to check in and confirm the details of my party. On the day of my party was the first time I ever went to this restaurant so I was a little nervous but it was great. They put up birthday decorations in our couch area which was soooo nice of them! There were several TVs around playing different games and they let us change a TV in our lounge area to golf. Helena was our server and she was SO amazing, we loved her so much! She was so sweet to separate our checks, remembered our names, and checked in on us frequently. I'm sure it was a lot to handle but she made it look easy. The soft pretzel was good, my boyfriend got the Terrance burger which he demolished, my friends seemed to like their dishes overall too (ceasar salad, fish & chips, pizza, etc.). The hummus plate was okay - the veggies weren't super cold and crisp but the tomatoes were so good. They charge a cake cutting fee if you want to bring a cake because they provide utensils and stuff but we didn't end up bringing a cake. Helena brought out a small dessert with a candle for me which was so nice. My friends and I had a great time, will definitely come here to host a party again! Our wedding was at the beautiful Eden Gardens, and Joey exceeded our expectations in every way. He had to set up in three different locations throughout the venue, arrived early, and had everything ready well before guests arrived. He checked in with our wedding party before the ceremony and our grand entrance to make sure everyone was queued up and everything ran smoothly. When our coordinator requested Certificates of Insurance (COIs) from all of our vendors, Joey was the very first to respond. One of Joey's biggest strengths is knowing exactly how to read and engage a crowd. He kept the energy up all night while making everything feel effortless. He spent hours with us beforehand going over every detail of our vision and also shared his professional recommendations to make sure everything flowed perfectly. With Joey, you're not just hiring someone to press play on a playlist--you're getting an experienced wedding DJ and MC who knows how to keep a wedding on schedule, keep guests entertained, and bring your ideas to life. We also had a projector with a slideshow of our photos. Since our venue was completely outdoors, it ended up being too bright to play during cocktail hour as we had originally planned. Joey immediately came to us with a solution. He suggested moving it to a different location and time, setting it up near the photo booth where guests were waiting in line. It worked out perfectly, and several guests commented on how much they enjoyed watching it while they waited. Throughout the entire evening, Joey checked in with us to make sure we were happy with how everything was going. He also has an easy-to-use planning app where couples can organize music selections for every part of the wedding, make requests, and leave notes about the timeline. Before the wedding, we met to review every detail together. I even told him he was the only DJ we interviewed who didn't simply ask us to send over a Spotify playlist and call it a day. He truly took the time to understand what we wanted and treated our wedding like the unique event it was. Joey was very patient with us through the whole planning process and we were so grateful that he can relate to how stressful the month leading up to the wedding can be. He met me a couple weeks beforehand at the location to make sure he understood our needs and the problems we had in the past so we didn't repeat them. On the day of the event, Joe was there plenty early to make sure everything was set up perfectly. During the event, he made sure everything was perfect and made adjustments on the fly.
