I though this would be a great bonding experience between us. I searched for what was available in San Juan... every where I searched I got the same answer... Capt Juan Carlos Torruella of Extreme Fishing PR. I emailed him for dates and rates, he was fast to respond and easy to schedule. Nothing complicated as easy as it should be. We scheduled a 4hr (2 to 6pm) trip. The day could have not been more perfect. As we departed on our trip the Captain was more than helpful in explaining what we should expect. He answered all our questions and made my kid feel safe and entertained. 7 year olds can get bored easily... NOT TODAY he was excited, happy and wanting more... needless to say me too. The Tally: My kid got 9 Tarpon and 3 Robalo I got 4 and 1 Total 13 Tarpon / 4 Robalo I can't thank Juan Carlos Torruella for the great experience!! 5 Stars is not enough... Definitely worth the investment and will do it again!!

Try to be there in the morning due to limited parking space. The water slide is actually behind the community houses next to river Rio Pitahaya. The natural slide only can access through this location. The residents here create a concrete step pathway to reach the water slide. Parking at the property was $5. It is worth the money for the concrete step. It look scary to slide down the natural slide. My wife was scare at first. After she saw me slide down several time, she finally do it herself. The trick is you can start at the middle slide by climbing the rock on the side and slide down to increase your confidence. Once you got it, you will enjoy higher location. I recommend you wear water shoes for this location. This location do not have facilities, so go to the bathroom at Luquillo before you come in.

We hiked a little further away to a much larger waterslide and were able to enjoy both. The water was refreshing and not too cold but still cool. There are some shallow areas and some deep areas. The rush from the waterslide does push you back if you're not a good swimmer. We can't wait to return to this amazing place.

He is totally hooked now after taking this excursion! I really appreciated the personalized service both before, during and after our tour with Sea Vieques. Captain Judi was very clear and personal with her communications before our tour date. She made contact with me via e-mail at least 3 times before we even got to Vieques. This made me feel so at ease so we didn't feel like we were going to meet some stranger and go out on their boat. During our boat ride, she and Katie were so friendly and personable. Judi gave a very in-depth and enthusiastic overview of all the fish and wildlife we were going to see on our snorkel. I really appreciated this, knowing what to expect and look out for. Of course, we had a couple bonuses that she pointed out during our snorkel including a lion fish and a gigantic puffer fish! She continuously checked to make sure that all members of our snorkeling party were accounted for, comfortable and having a good experience. It's the little things that matter when taking a trip like this. We were never without a drink whether it was water, juice, soda or a fantastic and tasty pina colada! They even served these drinks in high quality cups with tops and straws so you didn't have to worry about spilling (alcohol abuse!). You can definitely tell that Captain Judi takes a lot of pride in what she does and is totally professional and fun. She has a great passion for the reef and the wildlife that is contagious! We went home and did research on some of the fish we saw this day and on other days. There was SO MUCH to see! Lunch was served after our snorkel and was delicious. I've never been on a snorkel that served food and I have to say it was such a great touch. After swimming around in the water, we were definitely hungry! On the way back, we took advantage of the ride on the front of the catamaran on the "trampoline" up front and had a BLAST! Overall, totally great experience. We couldn't have asked for a better day out on the boat with such a great tour company and host!

She's very passionate about snorkeling and accompanied us the whole way through, guiding us to the best spots and providing a ton of education about the reefs and all of the creatures that live within them. She kept an eye on all of us (small group only 4!) and was super-vigilant about making sure our masks were on right and weren't fogging. She also carries a whistle that you can hear underwater and would call us over for any particularly cool fish she spotted. We saw 2 huge (HUGE) puffer fish amongst a ton of other good stuff. Lunch was delicious and so were the home made pina coladas. I would go again in a heartbeat.

It all started with working with Sara on the trip, she was amazing, responsive and great to work with! The day of our sail we arrived at the beach and were greeted by 4 great guys; Captain John, Captain Nate, Captain Ryan and the awesome Ron. They were all very welcoming and walked us through what our day would entail, we loaded our gear in the dingeys and headed to Maurader and Avalon for our day to begin. The crew were all so amazing, very knowledgeable and gave us an amazing history of Vieques which was incredibly cool! We had a great sail around, good stiff winds so we were cruising, it was awesome to watch the others of our group aboard Maurauder as you could see they were having as much fun as we were. We had some Puerto Rican water (Medailla) and the best rum punch ever (the recipe will eventually go down with Captain Nate). We sailed for about an hour and then we moored off a reef and our friends joined us aboard Avalon where we prepped for a snorkeling trip. The trip was led by awesome Ron and Captain Ryan, Half our group went exploring for an hour or so while the other half swam off the boat and had libations. Once the snorkerlers returned we got to hear about what they saw and then we all enjoyed some delicious cheeses, hummus and artichoke dips with crackers. Be mindful of the table so one of your friends knocked it over (our apologies). We then departed for our sail back to the bay to finish the best day of our trip. I highly recommend this group as they're amazing people, talented sailors, and amazing guides for your perfect day sailing Vieques.

Great knowledge of the local area, history and environment, and Sara took us on two great snorkels at the Cayo Blanco and the Pier. We saw turtles, blue tangs, tons of fish - gorgeous corals, octopus, lobster. We had our chance to sail the Caribbean, though not on or boat, we are now certain we will be back! We enjoyed fresh snacks, some delicious chili and rice, beers and wine, and, we've made some great friends in the process. Highly recommend!
