They are courteous, on-time, and knowledgable, but as a customer I should be given the opportunity to decline (and just pay for the service call) if I felt the repair cost was too high. I'm not saying don't use them, as I think they are still a good option, but be sure to get a price before the work is done so you can make that call yourself. Otherwise, their $75 visit/diagnostic fee is very reasonable nowadays. **Edited review since the owner, Tony, felt like commenting! That's about right, but funnily enough, when I google it my AI says it's more like $150-$280, parts and labor. Although one result DID come back $350, so perhaps you are just at the more pricey end of the spectrum? Regardless, you should probably give customers the ability to CHOOSE, once it's diagnosed, if they want you to do it at a quoted price, or if they want to buy that inexpensive part and do it themselves. In fact, I think that's actually the law..

My oven had already been worked on twice within the first year warranty, but the company that Home Depot sent was unable to fix the problem after two attempts, even though the oven was new at the time. Nick, on the other hand, diagnosed the problem and fixed it successfully on his first attempt. His work was very efficient and he could not have been more professional, courteous, or pleasant throughout the entire process. The second appliance was my washing machine, which presented a little more of a challenge because the necessary part was difficult to find, but Nick was able to locate the correct part and complete the repair really quickly. The three visits to work on both appliances included the initial evaluations, identifying and obtaining the correct parts, and completing repairs to both appliances. Considering the amount of time Nick spent working, and the fact that three separate visits were required, I found the prices to be extremely reasonable. By today's standards it's worth repeating....the prices were extremely reasonable ! I highly recommend TJ Appliance Repair, and if you have the opportunity, I would recommend asking for Nick. Excellent service and excellent results across the boards.

They were upfront about the price, and provided 2hr window. Communication was good until it was not. There was some over promising and under delivering. There was also some miscommunication between the office and tech about payment. I had them go to a location I was not physically at. Ultimately it was repaired satisfactorily but not without some frustration. I'd give a 3.5 star but can't give 1/2 on here.

He spent an hour at my home checking the parts, cleaning the spray arms and voila! The dishwasher cleaned great in my test run that evening. (He gave a very reasonable estimate for parts and labor -- should the spray arms have needed to be repaired or replaced.) I later discovered the dishes weren't drying 100 percent. He came back the NEXT DAY and checked the heating element. All is running fine. And unbelievable-- no charge because there wasn't anything wrong. Highly recommend you use him! My experience with most appliance people has not been good. It's nice to have one that made up for all the dishonest and incompetent people in the past.

But read on: So Manny replaced a drain pump for our LG washer. It worked. Paid him in full and he even gave us a Yelp "discount". A few days after, it started making noises .. I called him, he showed up and he said not to worry, the noise is normal. Then he even said he will extend the warranty to 12 months. Covid started. We lived with it until it failed after 1.5 years. Called him he didn't answer. I texted him, he pretended not to know about it. Then he remembered after I sent him screenshots of our txt exchange. Then he ghosted me. I txt him again. Now he wants $375 (again) to replace the same part that originally lasted 10 years. $89 for diagnostic. The part he provided lasted 1.5 years... So in 1.5 years I would have paid him for a brand new washer. Long story short: If you want disposable parts (I am guessing either after market or used) go ahead and call Manny B. Otherwise stay away. Also not to mention the part from his truck is $125 while it is $40 from the LG Store on Amazon - not after market not Chinese as he said. Go figure. UPDATE: After I posted this review, he replied below, 2 days later, didn't even try to call or txt me back. Shows Manny only cares about his image and not the client's satisfaction as he is trying to show here.
