They have limited staff; they rush the job and I have no faith in even letting them clean my teeth. My teeth cleaning was done in 5 minutes by the doctor. He didn't even have a hygienist to assist him. I need a crown replacement, and I have no faith that it would get done correctly. When I ask the lady at the front desk what's the next step, she said a crown. I'm like don't you have to take a molding first, etc., she was like yes. So, actually what's the next step. I had to breakdown what I assumed was the next step to her. How can I have any work done their, when they cannot even tell you what exactly needs to get done, and in what order. They just rush everything, including the cleaning. I'll find another dentist office to go to. read more

Dr. Souto is and will always be my dentist of choice. He's professionalism great character and service is what keeps me going back every year. My husband too. Dr. Souto keeps his knowledge and clinic up to date bringing always the most current equipment for his patients. The Staff and hygienist are super cool as well. Kudos to this amazing clinic and amazing Doctor. Their bedside manors are one of a kind, simply great. Can't wait to go back in there. They keep me smiling all the time. Meh... I wish I had the same experience as our fellow yelper below. Not to say that it was a bad experience but not as close as an experience as I would have liked as described below. I has Dr. Souto as well and he was nice and all but not very informative on what options were available to me and had a gang of three assistants were hovering over me and taking over the procedure at different times (which I didn't appreciate at all and wasn't warned in advance). They were a little push too in getting you back in the office. To top it all off, my teeth are now more sensitive than they ever were before. *******UPDATE******** That cavity he "fixed" ended up turning into a root canal because he drilled to deep. Dr. Souto is a nice guy but that office is a shit show! First they said I needed a cleaning. Then they said I needed a under the gum cleaning which is not covered by insurance. Then I woke up one morning and couldn't swallow: they charged me $50 as an "emergency visit" just to tell me that at some point in time I will need my wisdom tooth taken out. They have an oral surgeon come once every 2 weeks and I had to wait the 2 weeks. I spent 2 weeks in major pain, took a day off of work, show up at my appointment time, they charge me $400 ahead of time, and then I wait. I waited for almost 30 minutes before they called the surgeon who informed them that he "forgot" and refused to come in. Then they proceeded to coax him into coming! All of this occurred right in front of me!!! This was the most ridiculous experience I have EVER had with any dentist or doctor! I was able to find an oral surgeon (Dr. King - Tribeca Oral Surgery) that same day to remove the wisdom tooth at the same price and not even in my insurance network! DON'T GO HERE! read more

My teeth are a few shades whiter and the procedure was relatively comfortable. The most uncomfortable thing about it is having your mouth held open by the mouth piece for 45 minutes. I received a coupon online and it was certainly well worth it. Two of my friends have gone as well and they are happy with the difference. read more

A dental spa but also a normal dentist office as well. I stopped in one day just to look around randomly impressed from the outside by the hypercleanliness and all around white modern lines of the place. I assumed they only did cosmetic services and imagine my happy delight to find out that they where a full service dental office. I've been going to Dr. Souto for 3 years now with no complaints. The reception area is stocked with dental accessories and spa products which they DO NOT push on you in anyway. As a matter of fact when I saw a pricey mechanical toothbrush and mentioned wanting to purchase it Dr. Souto actually steered me to a way lower priced model and suggested I pick it up from Duane Reade to save some money. "Same one I use" he said with a gallic shrug. The assistants are all very well trained, polite and more than willing to explain things. They are open till about 7pm for afterwork appointments and even when I got stuck on a train -- they waited for me to show and didn't even have an attitude or rush me through my appt. taking xrays and everything! They take almost every type of dental insurance - Aetna, Guardian and Blue Cross Blue Shield to name a few. read more

OK Follow-up. I've had three procedures done by Dr. Souto and each time has been actually quite pleasant -- considering how much I had dreaded going to a dentist after so long away. Although the office says "QuickBleach", I originaly went there on an urgent basis to have a bridge re-cemented since the Dr. was on my insurance plan (CIGNA). I am very impressed so far at his professionalism and skill, and Miki the hygienist gave me a really gentle cleaning. I recommend Dr. Souto without reservation. read more

Not bad. Needing a new dentist and one close to my office, I made an appointment with Quickbleach. A little scared of the place from the name, I took a chance. I did not want to get stuck with a dentist that did extra x-rays and reviews the first visit, and I was not disappointed. While I did get x-rays of my teeth, I didn't feel like they were taking advantage of a first-time patient. I did get a review of "recommended" (though not necessarily time-sensitive) services, but once again did not feel they were pushing (too much) the services on me. Dr. Souto was pleasant. The dental assistants were gentle. The place was not the dental office I am used to in other areas of the country - small, cold, almost industrial-feeling - but it worked for me. I will preface this review by saying I am a BIG BABY when it comes to all things dental. I went to Quickbleach with a Groupon for whitening, and also got a professional cleaning. I was a few minutes late for my appointment but was not made to wait or rushed beyond reason. The hygienist was receptive to my (very exaggerated) fears about cleaning and whitening, and the VERY nice assistant suggested I listen to music while they work. It made a huge difference - the cleaning was as comfortable as could be, I had a few x-rays (included in the cost of the cleaning and exam) and then it was whitening time. Here's the thing. Bleaching teeth is a little painful. Let's just think about this, everyone. We are painting our enamel-covered-nerve-endings with caustic material and then sitting under UV lamps for 45 minutes to literally remove pigment from them. It shouldn't be surprising that it was not exactly pleasant. What IS surprising is how mild the unpleasantness can be if it is done carefully. I had some shooting pains throughout the afternoon but kept my teeth "hydrated" (by swishing tap water around over them, per the suggestion of the reception person) and took some Tylenol. My teeth are not more sensitive than usual today (one day later). Most importantly? My teeth are really, noticeably whiter. Some people have posted that their teeth were only a shade or two whiter. Mine are at least four from where I started. Chances are, those people who don't actually need whitening won't see amazing results. I highly recommend this location and process! read more

NEVER GOING BACK. Because of a change to my insurance, I was forced to see new dentists. Dr. Suoto was the 3rd dentist after 2 bad ones. First, his assistant was very unprofessional, she didn't care if she was hurting her patient during cleaning, I remember waking up the next day in pain because of very harsh cleaning. She literally used my chin as her wrist pad the entire time. I had a mild sensitivity in the back of my teeth and Dr. Suoto decided to removed my very new silver fillings and changed it to the regular one. After convincing me it was a good idea, I was happy to know finally there's a doctor that cares. After few weeks, I felt fine. Then starts to feel MODERATE (from mild) sensitivity on the same area. I went back for a follow-up and was told he's not sure what's wrong. He removed the filling and placed new one thinking it could be from the way he put it the first time. He took his time this time, I was feeling positive it will get better. Not to mention while I had my mouth wide open while waiting for the filling to dry up, Dr. Suoto and one of his assistant started chatting and gossiping. I was VERY UNCOMFORTABLE but I was trying to be more patient because I want to get better. I did get better few weeks after. And then it went from MODERATE to the most painful experience. I couldn't even eat or drink on that side of my mouth anymore. I was only able to drink with a straw. I was frustrated. I didn't go back to him thinking I should go to a different dentist. I switched back to my old insurance and went back to my old dentist. After all that tests and when he opened up my fillings, the fillings Dr. Suoto had put on me twice WAS SOFT and NOT INTACT. According to my dentist, Dr, Suoto had put the wrong material and I suffered for several months. Now, my new fillings are good and I am feeling 100%. I'm sure Dr. Suoto is knowledgeable and a good dentist for some people. It did not work for me and I am NEVER EVER going back. It was a waste of money and time. read more

He's the best dentist I've ever been to. He is great, does a fantastic job, and did everything in a single visit. he is awesome. I've had another decent dentist but not as good. I've been to a ton of really crappy ones though. They either don't listen, lie and say they take your insurance but they aren't "in plan" then charge you a ton, or doing a really crappy job. This guy is by far the best dentist I've been to. I try to tell everyone because I've had so many shitty dentists in the past that this guy needs to take care of everyone in New York, IMHO. I'm so glad that I found a dentist that is professional, friendly and with such a nice office environment. Dr. Souto-Acero did the cleaning and he was so gentle and thorough. My experience with the filling was also pleasant. Dr. Souto-Acero takes his time to explain everything with patience and understanding. The staff are great as well and the office is beautiful. My opinion is that you should skip this place... I had the power bleaching done and could barely notice a result afterwards. I might as well have gone out and bought some crest white strips.. And its over priced, I am finding out too late that there are other places that the same procedure can be done much cheaper and more effectively. The worst part about my visit was the lack of friendliness by the staff. A dental technician did the procedure and the dentist didn't den look over us once. There was no politeness or hellos when I walked in. In fact everyone was rude to me.. Only pro: I was seen perfectly on time. My appointment was at 11:00 and they started the procedure right then.. Every other dentists or doctors office I've ever been to, I've had to wait for a very long time after my scheduled appointment. But if you have reeky yellow teeth, I say try it out, just don't get your hopes too high! read more

I have gone to Quickbleach thinking it was something else, but it is not only a great looking dental office, it is a serious doctor. I have had implants, hithening and a root canal, and all at reasonable prices for NYC. This is the best dentist I've been to, and more importantly, it is not one these uncaring, biased and bigoted NYC dentist.
