I called 3x, went by the pharmacy 4x, and finally went in person back to Affinity Pediatrics. Asked for the Office Manager and she basically gave excuses and blamed the pharmacy. Keep in mind, me and my child have missed work and school and my child has been in pain this whole time. I chose to go there because I thought they were more reputable than a walk-in clinic, but guess I was wrong. I hope to file a formal complaint with Southwell soon.

Dr. Munoz was very professional and knowledgeable. He was great with my daughter. He was able to determine a diagnosis quickly, provided the needed medication while we were there and prescribed all of the medications we needed for when we got home. The receptionist and nurse were very kind. They all made a very concerning situation so much easier!

I personally would stay away from any SGMC emergency room. My husband was a patient admitted between 00:30 and 01:00 11/27/2016. We will not discuss the fact that I was treated horrendously after commandeering a wheel chair for my husband (there were two witnesses in the lobby at the time that came to MY defense). We will discuss the fact that this emergency room is a stop for a Band-Aid. The PA on duty at the time walked in for less than 30 seconds put a stethoscope to my husbands chest and back and walked out. Upon observation, the PA could be seen texting or playing games on a cell phone sitting behind the nurses station. My husband was the only patient in that emergency room for over three hours. I sure regret that we bored him! After over three hours, 2 EKG's, Blood work, chest X-rays, THREE back-to-back breathing treatments, I.V. antibiotics and steroids, the good PA returns and says, you have acute bronchitis and your sodium is low. Don't drink water, drink Gatorade, unless you want me to admit you and pump sodium through you. Follow up with your doctor. You should be out of here in 10-15 minutes. At that point three of the four staff members in the ER disappeared. Not once did anyone take into account his past medical history or the fact that his blood pressure was still way too high and unpredictable to be released. I brought him home and will now seek legal counsel. Video and audio were taken by the witnesses in the lobby. Seriously, if you have a small wound/injury or even some other minor issue, go. If you truly have an emergency, bypass Berrien Campus. Sometimes, you will get lucky and find one of the very few exceptional PA's they have on staff. Luck of the draw and my husband got the village idiot that prefers to play with his phone. It was only after we arrived home that I realized my husband had this very same issue a few years ago... He is hard to get in with but if you are lucky enough to score an appointment you will be highly pleased. I do have insurance, and their cost is reasonable. I was taken aback when I had labs done in office before I had insurance, that would be my only complaint. But Dr Jackson did not hesitate to write me a Rx to have my blood work done In an outside facility where it was $$$ much cheaper. The offices are really nice and the staff is very nice and helpful. I do not mind seeing Dr Jackson at all.

The receptionist was very kind and happy to answer my questions. She also made the day of the appointment easier by letting me fill the paperwork out ahead of time. The nurse was very sweet and great with my baby. Dr. Thomas Fausett is the absolute best doctor any patient could see. He was fantastic with baby. He was very knowledgeable and very professional.
