I never thought I'd leave a review for a simple lab testing center that I went for a blood draw, let alone serve as a dissenting opinion to praise one, but here we are! So why review at all? Read on to find out. This place is appointment only. They take walk-ins, but note that you will not be seen right away as appointments get priority. The place was clean and you have to check in at a kiosk (although as far as those systems go, this one was very easy). Appointments can easily be made online. So why the 5 stars? It basically comes down to how nice the lab tech was. He was engaging with a sunny attitude. My blood draw was quick and painless, the appointment was short and on time, and I liked that there is a Wawa nearby so I could grab some quick sugar post blood-draw. But what impressed me was that the person who came in after me had English as a second language. She really struggled to use the kiosk as English was clearly not her first language. The tech came out and spent about 5 minutes calmly and nicely walking her through the process, welcoming her to the facility, and getting her set up. I rarely even find that kind of personal care at full doctor offices. I would go here again. read more

The air freshener was so thick in the room I went into that I had to wash my clothes and my hair when I got home, gross! I've been to plenty of quest labs, but I won't be returning to this one. I went for a walk in (as all quest labs accept walk ins) and the worker (who very clearly hates his job) said "it's going to be an hour you need an appt". Said no problem I'll wait. He kept reiterating everyone needed an appointment. There was literally me and one other person. I hope corporate reads this and gets this dude some help or gets him another job. read more

My first visit here I asked for a container for a 24 hr urine collection. After waiting 30+ min I was told by the lab tech that "she doesn't know what kind of container the Dr wanted". I called my Dr and he told me there is only one kind he uses for this test. Today I return with the container full of my Urine sample and I have been sitting here for over an hour. I simply need to drop it off. I've told 2 employees so far and no one has come out. There are now 7 people waiting and I keep getting told I should have made an appointment. I had no clue I needed an appointment to drop off a sample. I along with the other people waiting have all bonded and decided we would not be using Quest Diagnostics again. If it's imperative that I use Quest, it will NOT be at this location. read more

I had a televisit with my doctors office on Friday April 19. I was told the doctor would send an order to Quest for the needed lab work. My husband stopped on his way home from work to pickup the ordered test. It included one tube inside a plastic envelope with a barcode written on it. But no directions. I googled what to do and crossed my fingers. My husband delivered the sample to the Quest office on Marblestone in Woodbridge this morning. They said there should have been two sample tubes. That I would have to redo the test. They threw the two tubes inside a paper bag and he brought it home. Once again no directions and this time no plastic sleeve to put it in. This is the worst customer service I have ever had. I WILL NOT be going to them again. read more

I attempted a walk-in blood draw today. When I arrived there was one person ahead of me. As soon as I signed in and sat down, the lab tech came out and handed me an appointment card and said, "it's gonna be an hour. This is an appointment based lab. You need to make an appointment". I have been using this location for years and have never been told that. To discourage walk-ins (when you're not even busy) only reduces revenue that contributes to your paycheck. I went here on Thursday. The Latino lady with the blonde hair took my blood. She injected the first needle and couldn't get blood because she put it in the wrong place. She put it in the same place on the opposite arm and again on the wrong spot. It was obvious she had no idea what she was doing. She was very unprofessional and untrained. Then she called her coworker, another Latino who knew what she was doing, very professional. With one injection she did it. The injection needle on the sites where the first lady used were pulled up half way. On the spots she poked I have a very severe ten inch bruise and extreme pain. I'm trying to contact their head quarters and no body answers. There is no contact information for them. No customer service. read more

I agree with Rhise H. This place does not have any customer service skills especially Tonya if thats her real name. She is the black lady with short hair and glasses that works at the Daniel Stuart sq location. She talked to me as if I was dumb even tho she was not clear with her words. I would ask her what the next steps were and she asked me how old I was like if I couldn't understand anything but her communication skills were terrible and she had an attitude like if I did something to her. She told me not to flush the toilet after urine test then proceeded to slam the door open by kicking it and told me to go flush it. I would not recommend coming to this location. read more

I went to my appointment on 3/13 to have bloodwork done. My test was ordered on Ulta labs and says it has a 3-5 day turnaround time. Today is day 15 and I do not yet have my results and Quest keeps giving me the runaround and they REFUSE to give me an estimated completion time. I have asked specifically for a time frame a half a dozen times and they avoid answering that one question. Made a Saturday appointment at 8:30AM for a blood test at this Daniel Stuart Square location, which worked out well. They have the self-serve check-in kiosk here but no receptionist or front desk person to assist you if you need help. Order of patients waiting in line and estimated wait time for each patient are conveniently displayed on a TV screen in the waiting room. Minimal wait time with an appointment. They didn't check my ID or insurance card, but only asked to confirm name, address, and insurance provider, but that might be because I have used Quest Diagonistics before and made an appointment. They didn't ask for a copay at time of service. They are observing COVID guidelines by spacing out chairs in the waiting area or allowing you to wait in your car and receive a text when you are called and they require masks, but no one is checking temperatures (I'm assuming because it's a Saturday though and health providers are usually understaffed from Fridays-Sundays.) Phlebotomist was friendly and efficient. Biggest con is that the entry directly in front of the lab is not wheelchair/handicap accessible. There is no handicap parking directly in front of the lab and no low part of the curb to get onto the sidewalk. Park at the grocery store around the corner if you need wheelchair/handicap access. There is also no automated button for the doors either, but other people entering or leaving the lab will be nice enough to hold the doors open for you. read more

BEWARE!! BEWARE!! BEWARE!! This place is horrible in every sense of the word. I went in for a pre-emplownt drug screen, and not only was I belittled, but I was also sexually harassed, patronized, sabotaged. I was asked to strip down all the way to my long Johns, and when I asked them as to why? they ignored me and refused to answer my question. When I requested a manager, a lady by the name of AVA who is NOT THE MANAGER, came in posing as one and took it upon her self to patronize me by acting as if I was being rude when reality I was not. All I wanted to know was why they need me to strip down to my under underclothing. since they did not like my question they took it upon themselves while I was present at the location to call my employer and tell them "that they should not hire a person like me because I am too rude" THAT IS NOT ONLY ILLEGAL, BUT ALSO NOT THEIR PLACE BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT A REFERENCE". these people do not care about the people who go their, and you can tell by lack of sanitation and complete disregard for COVID SAFETY GUIDELINES. I don't know why all the negative reviews. Medical-ish stuff is never fun, but Quest seems to have the flow down at least. Making an online appointment and checking in when i got there kept my wait time down to less than 5 minutes. The tech was friendly and precise and I was out the door. Quest Diagnostics has ruined my day for the second time. The first time, I scheduled a 4:15 appointment via the website at the Stafford location, left my job early (which is not easy to do in my profession), and arrived at Quest at 4:11 PM. All of the lights were turned off and the door was locked, with big bold letters saying they closed at 4:00 daily. I was extremely frustrated that Quest allowed me to schedule an appointment for a time they were not even open! I promised I would never use Quest again, until a few weeks ago when my new doctor insisted that I go to Quest (she must have a contract with them). Because she is a doctor I trust, I decided to give Quest another try, which is something I almost never do. Again, I left my job early so that I would be at the Woodbridge location by 4:00. I typed "Quest Diagnostics" into my smart phone (Google Maps) and the address given me was 14409 Hereford Road. I drove to this location to find that it is NOT a Quest office and never had been one! By the time I got directions to the actual Woodbridge location (on Opitz Blvd) it was well after 4:00. I banged on the door and got no answer. Quest Diagnostics and their abysmal concern for customer service had ruined my day again. Eventually two employees exited the building and I voiced my concerns. They said there is no manager on site (which is a problem in itself), and that they get complaints like mine all the time. One employee mentioned that she emailed (her boss, perhaps?) three times to get the address changed on the web and still nothing has been done. I will continue to write negative reviews online, to tell friends and family how awful this company is, and I will ask my doctor to reconsider her involvement with Quest Diagnostics. Reaching an actual person on the phone is IMPOSSIBLE. Every phone number you find is automated and responses are limited. I showed up to my appointment and checked in on my phone and was told to wait in my car until receiving a follow up text. After 30 mins of waiting for my 7:15a appointment, I go check the door only to find the door is locked and the building is empty. I am unsure if all the employees forgot to show up or if there was an issue with the LIGHT dusting of snow the night before. DO NOT GO TO THIS QUEST LOCATION, unless you enjoy being treated as an annoyance. I recently relocated to VA, so I had an out of state referral. After unsuccessfully trying to verify online and by telephone that my insurance would be accepted, I walked in to ask. Upon entering, I noticed that no one (employee or customer) was inside, so I waited at the front desk for about 15-20 minutes. During that time, I was joined by another customer, who had also attempted to access the location online and via telephone. Finally, we knocked on the only available door to see if someone would answer. BIG MISTAKE. The knock triggered an irritated employee to vocalize her annoyance. I explained that we only knocked because we had previously called that location and had been waiting in-person for quite some time, to speak to someone. Her reply was, Quest does not have front office staff (even though they have a front desk/chair) and does not take questions via telephone. She then insisted that we register in order to ask a question. After I explained that if Quest does not take my insurance, it would waste their and my time to register, she reluctantly confirmed that both our insurances are accepted. Following this encounter, the customer that came in after me wisely left. But against my better judgement, I foolishly completed registration and proceeded with an appointment ONLY TO BE SCOLDED THE ENTIRE TIME for not registering initially. The Quest employee simply could not let it go. She was that angry that I did not initially resister, just to ask a question. Minutes later, while entering my insurance, she asked if I had fasted in the past 12 hours. I told her that I had a piece of sugar free gum, to which she replied, "So you did NOT fast. You have to reschedule!" Thank you, Lord! The Gods were on my side and got me out of that situation, because I was beginning to worry about whether or not she would exact her revenge while taking my blood. If those Quest employees think I am coming back to that location, they have another thing coming!! Ironically, the location displays a sign asking customers to be kind to first responders. Everyone loves to hate on Quest. DO NOT COME ON A SATURDAY. They are very busy and have frequent drop ins. Simply make an appointment and just go on the right day rather than an easy day. Very quick process if u come at the right time. Staff for the most part are nice and respectful. Be prepared with your lab request sheets ahead of time.
