I always make an appointment on line so I don't to wait when I arrive and as such they always have my information in the system. If you have an appointment and there are walk ins, you will be moved to the top of the list based on your appointment time. The phlebotomists are all extremely friendly and warm. They help make this horrible process of needles and drawing blood manageable and they are very nice. I've never had a bad experience here and because of the great service here, I don't dread my regular visits.

Billing, and what amounts I guess to Customer Service, have insisted on the wrong narrative over and over. It seemingly is an organizational catastrophe over there, with no one able to not only solve problems for themselves, but solve between departments. (UPDATE) After several more weeks of dealing with this, I have reached a satisfactory resolution and my bill was zeroed out. However, this is after literally dozens of attempts with at least 4 different people in the office who said they were going to "forward this to the Lab Director" and receiving no follow-up. I managed to wheedle an email to said Lab Director, who actually wrote back and said, "Honestly, that is the first I've heard of this and after three or four more cc'd emails, it looked like it had been rectified..." Absolute, total, utter mismanagement by all parties at this operation.

The woman who works there is a fantastic phlebotomist. She always finds a vein, does the puncture and collects the blood quickly and efficiently. I almost never have a bruise and the bleeding stops quickly. I'm known to pass out but she gets it done so fast I never even have a chance. She's truly great and I'm a loyal patient even when the wait is like 45 minutes long. I recommend her to anyone!

Got into a room within 5 min of getting there. Doc that cleaned the wound and stitched me up was amazing. Had a "in training" doc following him. She was great too. Very pleasant, easy to talk and joke with. Made the experience...as fun as it could be(i.e. - it only sucked because of WHY i was there). Went back 2 weeks later to get stitches removed. Same experience that time(the wait was a bit longer, 20 min, because I wasn't leaking life fluid). Also, I had no insurance, and it didn't even phase them(it was surprisingly very affordable). Couldn't be happier with my experience.

I figured I'd do it early, because I had to fast prior to my appointment. Their waiting area, is clean and small, with a very handy check in kiosk. This is where I scanned my driver's license, and insurance card. Right then, one of the nurses came and called me to come to the examining room. I've spent less than a minute waiting, I really appreciate this. I don't love needles, and when it comes to occasions like this, I still go by the little kids rule of "don't look and it won't hurt". So the job was done, quick, and painless. However, I felt a bit, lightheaded after. I told the phlebotomist I didn't feel well. I would appreciate some water. She just told me to "have a nice day" and lifted the arm rest. Ok. Well, we all know she didn't really care about how nice my day was. Needless to say, while the job did get done. I don't appreciate people who work in healthcare, who have no common sense courtesy towards people.

My veins are hard to stabilize and they usually poke around and I have a wind up with a big black and blue bruise. He went to a new spot and was so fast I was surprised, no blood, no bruise. This was on May 26th in Bloomfield. My wife had hers done also and when we walked out my wife said that was the easiest and fastest ever confirming my experience. This is my go-to lab for blood testing. The phlebotomist who usually works here is wonderful. She…read moreis calm and comforting and so helpful with suggestions for someone like me who has had some negative blood draw experiences. She recommended that I drink a lot of water before I arrive and she has a table where patients who tend to get light-headed can lie down during their blood draw. This has helped me so much! Now I don't dread blood tests anymore. I have had to go to a different ECHN lab (on Hartford Turnpike in Vernon) while this one was under renovations (until June 2018 I think) and it also went very well. I asked to lie down for my blood draw and was totally fine. The phlebotomist was another very pleasant person and I had a great experience there. I would highly recommend either of these ECHN outpatient labs.

They eventually did, but the journey getting there was quite painful until this morning when Josie (the phlebotomist ) found a good vein-immediately, inserted her needle expertly without any pain and pulled four vials of blood in what felt like a second !
