This company makes it impossible to leave a positive (or negative) comment regarding its product employees or services, but I wanted Sally at the Tamarack location in Visalia Ca to know how amazing she was. I have had so many blood tests over the years and she has to have been the best phlebotomist I've encountered. Her demeanor was very good and she was patient and made the experience a positive one rather than a negative one. The company has some issues with its scheduling system as its voice-based, and it made my last two appointments for the wrong dates, but the staff here was amazing and got me in in no time. Hopefully this gets to Sally's supervisor.....you can tell she loves her job!!! read more

DO NOT USE QUEST!!! if you care at all about your health and wellness, please do not use this company. I came in for some lab work, and when I went to my provider for results, she was floored at how high the numbers were on a particular test. She let me know that she would have to be testing me for cancer, which was terrifying. After having a CT and an ultrasound done to rule out any tumors ( which were by the way, very costly) my labs were repeated and completely normal. This ended up being a lab error, which apparently happens quite often at Quest according to my provider. Fast-forward two months later, and I go to a different physician for an unrelated issue, I'm given instructions to go to the pharmacy get a pill take it, and then have a cortisol test drawn in the morning by a certain time. I followed all of my physicians instructions exactly, but the lab never ran the cortisol test. I now have to purchase a new prescription, go back to the lab and have the whole thing repeated. This right after a huge cancer scare because of their error. My provider and this second Physician are both very upset & unfortunately have their own stories of the errors that quest has made time and time again. I tried to contact someone to complain, but no one ever responded to my email regarding the situation, and there is nobody to call directly. Please do not use this company if you care at all about your health. Something is way off with their quality control. Go elsewhere!!! read more

I came here on a "not so great day" since their computers were down and needed to call a tech to come help. I had an appointment and didn't have paperwork on hand since it was in their system. I didn't mind waiting and letting others who had walk-in's/paperwork go ahead of me since they could only see people who had paperwork (made sense). There were two patients who argued and were upset (understandable) with the doctors, and the way the team handled the situation was very professional. They got the computer up and running 30 min later and when it was my turn, they had a hard time finding my info that my doctor had sent (I'm from the Bay Area so I understood). The nurse helping me was very apologetic and mindful of me. I could tell she was having a very bad day (she's one of the nurses a patient was arguing with) but she handled herself VERY professionally and gracefully. What happened to real customer service? What happened to actual humans checking you in? I made an appointment & I checked in through their kiosk. It's been over 2 hours, I checked in 10 min too late. That Robot said different. So I explained to Sally that I've been waiting over two hours, I made an appointment & registered as a walk-in just in case. I explained that I drove an hour here to attend my appointment, and I wanted to grab some food & drink since I have not eaten. Sally's response, 'Well if you leave & we call your name you have to reschedule because we have you as a walk-in.' So they just acknowledged I was scheduled. I told her I just worked 14 days in a row, 19 straight shifts in a row, I'm tired & hungry. I asked what time do you close.' Sally said idk what time we will be done. Wait, what time do you close? Sally said 3 then 3:30. Now I've just concluded that Sally doesn't have a helpful understanding bone in her body, much less know how to tell time. Looks like I'm going to just Uber Eats up in this bitch because I have a feeling that once I leave, I'm gonna get, 'Oh we called your name.' YRB. The manager needs more staff & more training. Damn Sally, don't be That girl. There was another girl there who had asked me 'what did she say because I'm just a walk-in, I didn't make an appointment. ' Yikes! Turns out this squeaky wheel got the grease because when I sat back down, I was downloading GrubHub & the UberEats Apps and within 10min they called my name. Five all day to the lovely woman who helped me with my lab work. She was so kind and we spoke of Christmas and our families while she drew my blood. It was fast, quick and painless! Pro Tip: make an appointment to be safe. Wait outside: they will come out and greet you. This is at the Visalia location and might be different for other locations. They have signs on the door saying "stop" lol. I saw too many people try and open the door, they were greeted by a friendly but losing her patience staff member. I answered with "yes mam and no mam" straight to the point! Lol. There's even signs on the floor outside for appointments on the right and walk ups on the left. Pro Tip: when you do set an appointment on the app, when it says "come back to the area" or something in that context. It means "go to the front desk." I made the mistake of being in the lobby but assuming the text I got meant they would come out and call me. That's not the case. You need to go to the desk when you're called. You can wait inside but they only have around 6 chairs and they're all spread out. Best to make the appointment and wait in your car until your asked to come inside. Pro Tip: The app even lets you fill out everything you'd have to do on the tablet inside. Do yourself the favor and do it in advance. You can pay on their too I believe. I paid on site. Just my preference. I don't remember the woman's name who drew my blood but she was amazing! She made the experience very quick, painless and we shared our Christmas plans with our families. It was very nice to have someone nice like that! I'll be sure to come here for now on when I need lab work done! read more

(7am) when I got there I checked in and was called back within 10mins only to tell me they ran out of my test kit and I would have to reschedule !! I've gone here previously for lab work and it has been fine before. Even with an appointment, I usually have to wait about 15 minutes. But today was the day I decided I won't be back. I couldn't make an appointment because my midwife said my blood work was urgent and there were no appointments available. They open at 6 so I was in line by 5:55. Check in was quick and then I took my seat. When I checked in, I said that my midwife said she would fax the orders. I expected a wait since I had no appointment. Affer an hour of waiting, they called me up to tell me they didn't have my orders. Mistakes happen and it isn't their fault my midwife didn't send the orders - but there is no reason to wait an hour to tell me. Come on. The ladies here, particularly the older ones that work the front, are short with people (especially older people that don't know how to check in on the tablet). So I'm done. Canceled test rebooking with Lab Corp. I had to pick up a specimen CONTAINER for my mom. Went in at 9 am her appt wat at 2. when you enter you are greeted by 2 tablets telling you to sign in. I select picking up container and my number was 105. There was no receptionist or person to speak to. I wanted 30 minutes and there was no person at the front desk. Another person came to drop off their specimen again no one in sight. I have paid $100 dollars out of my own pocket for the lab test. Quest makes it look like they are doing ME A FAVOR. This is ridiculous that their is no one at the receptionist counter. You can't replace people with two tablets and make it all right. I sat there and waited to be called. no reception, had to track down one of the people in the lab and was told the machine had failed to check me in even though I got a text that I was checked in. their response: well it didn't work and now you have to wait as a walk in. THIS RATING IS IN REGARDS TO THE LOCATION AT 1827 S. Court St, Suite D. I scheduled lab work by appointment, as was told, since they do not do walk ins. I was rudely told this by the receptionist at the Tamarack location back in October/November 2021. Knowing I needed to make an appointment I did so online as that was the only way to make an appointment. I schedule my appointment. The day of my appointment I received a phone call at 1:00 p.m. informing me my appointment was cancelled. My appointment was at 3:45. They said they do not take appointments after 3:00 pm. I informed the person contacting me that if that was the case then the option should not have been available online. She said I could go at 3:00 pm as a walk-in. I told her I was told they do not do walk-ins. She said that was incorrect. as long as I was there by three pm I could do a walk-in. I said just for today due to error in my scheduling or any day of the week. She said anyday. I asked if this applied to anytime or is it walkins only at 3:00 pm. She said anytime. I told her interesting becasue at the Tamarak location I was told no walk-ins accepted at all. I rescheduled being I could not make it to walkin by 3:00 p.m. I made my appointment, online, for Tuesday, 2/22/22, at 9:30 a.m. . I get to the appointment this morning and they are closed. There is a sign on the door that they are closed for the morning of 2/22/22. No call or email notification that the location was closed. Absolutely ridiculous that scheduling labwork has to be so difficult. And once scheduled they can't hold up to their end of the bargain. Never trust this location again. read more

I have to get labs done quarterly (every 3 months) an use quest purely out of convenience. Every time I get my labs done I pay my copay before anything , then roughly 6 weeks later I get another bill from quest . So this time I paid cash to see if it was my insurance or the account payable dept for quest diagnostics. $383.58 was what I was billed an paid onsite. Then 6 weeks later I get the typical you owe us more money letter so I open it an am furious to realize that after I paid for my labs in cash that day they also double billed my old insurance company that I told them I didn't want used anymore. Quest Diagnostics is a crooked company an I wouldn't use them again if they were the only option. A zero star review was appropriate read more

The electronic sign-in system is horrible. It did not recognize my appointment, there was no front desk person to help, and the lady drawing labs was too busy (understandably). Since "the system" did not recognize my appointment, the time I took off of work to get my labs drawn was wasted. The system said I could schedule an appointment around noon. Again, no front desk person to help sort things out. I guess they just decided to get rid of the"Rude" receptionist that everyone was typing about and just put in a machine that cannot help at all with anything that is outside a small set of parameters. I DO NOT recommend you go to Quest at all. Even Kaweah Delta/Health labs are better than this. read more

Although the Quest Diagnostics lab is convenient, their walk-in patient policy is flawed. The staff is pretty much desensitized to any concern a walk-in has about the stream of scheduled patients that continually shuffle ahead of you, while you wait. If you're a walk in patient, be sure you have plenty of time. Patients with appointments are the priority, (which they should be) and I would have made an appointment if an appointment time fell within the time window I was allowed. I waited 1.5 hrs for a standard employment drug screen. The staff person that conducted my test seemed to be empathetic about the wait & apologized but everyone else, they were unconcerned. I doubled the rating to two stars solely because of the person that conducted the test. read more

I made an appointment online to have labs drawn at this location. I am rating it 2 stars because the phlebotomist was skilled and pleasant. The 2 staff members, whose job I would assume is to interact with and assist patients, were rude and not helpful. I waited over 30 minutes with an appointment, and in that time witnessed one staff member be outrageously discourteous to an elderly patient and her daughter who thought they had an appointment scheduled, and were not well versed in how to make one online. Instead of offering to assist, she handed them a piece of paper and left them to figure it out on their own. When I offered to help, she yelled at us to move from where we were standing because she said we were blocking another patient. After continuing to wait, I went to the kiosk again thinking I had checked in incorrectly since I had been waiting so long. I indicated to another staff member that I wasn't sure I had checked in correctly because my appointment was over 30 minutes ago. She told me that I was considered a walk in now, and that it wasn't possible for me to have been here at my appointment time, checked in, and and not have been called back. The phlebotomist called me back just after she said that. My draw was painless and quick, which is why I'm rating the location 2 stars instead of 1. There just isn't an excuse for treating people as poorly as I witnessed people being treated here. read more

I had put in my insurance information online when setting up my appointment, but when I checked in at the machine it does ask to scan your id & insurance card(s). After that I sat down (my name and appointment time showed up on a monitor in the room). I sat down but almost immediately a lady came out to get me. Came to get blood work done, raised quite a few questions about the test being done because it didn't sound right, finally the lady comes back and tells me, "This is the wrong test. It's a good thing I caught it!" They tell me to wait in the lobby while they wait to get a new test order from my doctor. They said if we don't hear from the doctor in 30 minutes I have to reschedule. Ten minutes later they tell me to leave, but I say I want to wait and see if the doctor gets back to me. I went in as a walk-in today, felt a little bad about not scheduling an appointment with all that is going on, but I was attended to immediately and even with there being 3 others ahead of me I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. I can't remember the name of the sweet young lady that took my blood sample, but she was extremely kind and friendly. I cannot imagine what these workers are going through everyday but I felt so comfortable and they are truly on it... even with many new measures in place to protect us and themselves. I must say they have it dialed in at this location where heroic essential workers must carry on. My girl was informative and made my experience light hearted. Yet the ladies made it a point to let me know that I arrived too close to closing time. Even saying they were going to lock the door or they'd be there forever. Keep it mind no one else was even there. Super rude. I'm sorry I arrived 10 minutes prior to your closing but no where on your door or your website does it say that you have to arrive 30 minutes prior to closing. The only one who was remotely friendly was the guy who came out from the back at the end. Had a Horrible Experience my doctor had ordered a stool sample test for me to do i call on the phone and the lady tells me i need to take it into the place at the top of the paper which is quest. I walk in with the papers i have and they are pissed that i walked in going on and on about how we didnt give the kit to you. We arent taking it you need to mail it. im not putting my name on anything since they didnt get the test from here. Mind you my doctor said nothing about me having to mail this out at all. one of them even wanted my insurance card so they could charge me and send me off with another paper. The two older women working up front are just the nasty people ive ever had the misfortune of dealing with i will never go here again. read more
