Overall, a pleasant experience!…read more New year and Covid-19 is still amongst us. I've been fortunate to not been hit with the virus or gotten really sick these past 2 years. As flu season hits, you never really know if what you have is Covid-related or the seasonal flu. Symptoms are alike and I started to feel under the weather with a sore throat, fever, and fatigue. I was very concerned and even though I've been vaccinated with a booster there is still a chance I can get infected, especially with the new variant, Omicron which is most contagious. It was difficult trying to find an available PCR Covid-19 test in the community and I was getting frustrated. Fortunately, my friend recommended CovX Labs. The process was easy and stress-free. You can pre-register online and book your appointment at any of the San Diego locations. The closest location from me was in Poway and the building was easy to find. They have their office sign visible up front and plenty of parking available. They also take walk-ins, but I recommend booking ahead of time. They offer a discount code when you schedule online, which I took advantage of. I was the first one there when I arrived. Lucky me! Unfortunately, they didn't look prepared to work. I saw them unpacking boxes inside and nobody was up front to assist me. I finally had to flag down an employee as I waited outside. He asked me if I made an appt. and pre-registered. I said yes, but he couldn't locate me in their system. Doh! He was still able to assist and I had to fill out some basic information on his iPad. They also accept insurance, but I paid out of pocket. He ended up giving me the uncomfortable swab test. My first one! It was quick and not as bad as I thought. He was quite gentle, which I appreciated. An emailed payment receipt is sent to you and he informed me that my results should come in before the end of the day. I liked how you can get same day results and they made sure to provide that for me as promised. I received two emails afterwards that my sample was being processed and they provided a token number that I would need to access my results. The second and final email was a pdf file of my results. I was able to save the document for my records. They also have a YouTube video tutorial of the whole process, which I highly recommend watching. Thanks CovX Labs for the positive experience! This will be my go-to testing site, but I hope I'll never had to go through that again. Crossing my fingers I won't need to. FYI: I'm negative!! HALLELUJAH!!

Not a lot to say. At the moment, finding covid test appointments is hard in San Diego. Overall,…read moreCovX labs was a pleasant experience. As someone pointed out, getting an appointment online doesn't actually speed up the process - you still wait in line along with the walk-ups. However, if you pay online you can use the coupon code and save some money if you're going for one of the upgraded options or not using insurance. For me, I just walked up at 9AM - there was 4 people in front of me, and I left at 9:25ish. Seemed reasonable. The person doing the swabs was very gentle and efficient. No problems there. The companies definition of "same day results" is a little dubious - 12:20AM the next day is a stretch but close enough I'm not worried about it. Website was kinda iffy though - took like 3 minutes to finish loading after submitting the screening form.

This lab found that half the samples did not exceed normal limits so I tested negative for gestational diabetes. It took about a week to learn the results. Another blood test discovered that my anemia had returned. A prenatal screen showed me that I'm immune to German measles and I learned what my blood type was for the first time (I thought it was a different one all my life!). All my urine tests for e. coli except for one were analyzed here. Forensic urine drug testing looks for methadone or opiates. They reported that I tested negative for amphetamines, barbiturates, and metabolized cocaine. I think this is the same lab that tried to detect chlamydia and gonorrhea in my urine specimens. When I called this morning for an update, I was told that the lab had lost my sample and that I would need to start the entire process over. Had I not reached out myself, I would never have known, as no one informed me of this mistake. This is a highly sensitive and time-critical early-pregnancy test, and losing a sample, then failing to notify the patient, is irresponsible and unacceptable. It shows a serious lack of care and professionalism. I will not be returning to this lab, and I will be disputing any charges associated with this error. Patients deserve better.

Please for the sake and preservation of your vision go elsewhere. The Shiely Eye Institute saved what was left of my vision following the horrific, botched Vitrectomy performed by. Dr Gariano. the details are many, so I won't get into the mud with this post. however, PLEASE do not, under any circumstance, agree to be seen by this clinician. There are a good handful of Retina specialists in the San Diego area. Gariano is not one of them and had I done my due diligence, I would still be driving today. And no, I'm not super old. Lastly. this portion relates more to Scripps itself. 99,9% of their clinicians are fantastic. I felt well cared for. Unfortunately, Scripps was made aware of the situation and chose to do absolutely nothing other than protect their Doctor. Not surprising. what was surprising however, was any contact with Gariano or his staff stopped completely, once I alerted Scripps administration of the devastating situation. No more follow-ups. Silence. Left hanging with a damage retina and the need for a corneal transplant. Not so much as a simple I'm sorry from Gariano, but of course, any apology would be considered an admission of potential malpractice I guess. I placed my trust in this doctor and in the end, was permanently disabled.

It does not contain Phamatech's tax ID, diagnostic codes, procedure codes, etc. I emailed Phamatech's admin account three times with a copy of the receipt and asking for an invoice or super bill to be used for my insurance. NO RESPONSE. I called the 888 number listed on their website 4 times now within the last month: First attempt: I spoke with a young lady who said she would place an IT ticket for my request and it would be worked on. Why a receipt needed to go through IT? Who knows. Second attempt: I spoke to a gentleman who said their staff was affected by Covid and that they would eventually get to my request. He tried to give me the invoice info over the phone but my insurance won't accept it from me. Third/Fourth attempt: Spoke to an operator who kept me on hold without putting me through to someone after I told her I need to speak to someone regarding insurance. This place has TERRIBLE customer service. If your tests are not covered by insurance, don't plan on coming here unless you're ok with paying out of pocket.
