Yes the staff's personality here leaves a lot to be desired but they are always on schedule and I've been in and out for bloodwork quickly. I have been to many locations and this one was by far the worst. Only one person working there that could use a new personality and maybe more training on drawing blood. When I left my arm hurt but I wasn't too concerned when I got home I realized that this woman took tape and wrapped it around my whole arm, taking the tape off was so painful and the needle sit and the whole area around it was black and blue. I get blood taken every 6 months and have never experienced this. I called Quest to tell them and still waiting for a supervisor to call me. The older I get I find I frequently need to get blood tests done as part of various medical exams. My usual place to go is Quest Diagnostics in Denville, NJ however they were closed for renovations, so I went to the Quest in Parsippany, NJ instead. I arrived about a half hour before my scheduled appointment and checked in. Of course Quest Diagnostics is a big operation and it's easy to set up an account through which you can make appointments and receive your results. The Parsippany Quest is inside an office building and not marked as Quest on the outside. When I walked in on a Saturday morning I noticed it is kind of small and there were lots of people sitting in the waiting area, in part because the Denville location is closed. The waiting room is part of a slightly larger room it shares space with, divided by a temporary room divider, where the technicians draw blood samples and they also process your paperwork. So the overall Quest space in Parsippany is much smaller and a little more impersonal than at other Quest locations. I have gotten used to getting pricked several times as sample techs try to find a place to draw blood from me. On this visit I was impressed at how quickly the sample tech found a good spot. While this was going on her co-worker handled the paperwork part of the visit in parallel, making for an efficient visit, even though I signed off while still sitting in the chair where my blood sample was collected! All in all they do a satisfactory job in a cramped space and get you in and out quickly, I left even before the time my appointment was scheduled for. read more

couple thing about this place!!! 1. location - well i think b/c i am not good at direction... i miss the entrance like twice and was going around 46 in circle to try to find the entrance because there is not sign for "Quest" or anything that indicate it's inside a building... very easy to miss 2. that also lead to hard to find the door -- haha.. i think this is my problem, i must have get in to the door on the other side and was walking around to look for the actually location of the lab 3. the waiting area is kinda small, there is a computer sign in, so you walked in and you put yourself in a queue and you sit and wait... if you come in during the middle of the day, not sure if you will be able to fine a chair... my best suggestion is go in right before they open, but still, there are people waiting to go in already (well on a weekend particularly) 4. office set up... not sure what it's like to the back office, but there's one in the front where it's right next to the waiting area, therefore, no privacy, you sat on a chair looking at all those who are waiting, and they looked at you getting your blood drawn... you were asked your information like all the other health care place would, and i am sure people outside and hear everything 5. i know ppl complain about not friendly staff, but i don't have problem with the staff, but i do know the lady that drew my blood was not a regular, so who knows, maybe i luck out!! read more

Wish I could have given stars in minus. 1. They don't have proper office set up. 2. Nurses take multiple patients together. 3. Even if you try to make them talk and smile, they wouldn't not respond well. 4. Usually for Urine test, they have specific procedures: you cannot take any stuff in bathroom, one nurse labels your sample as soon as you get out of bathroom. They label, lock n make you sign your Urine sample before you get out. None of this happened, which is not proper way to do Urine sampling. 5. I came to this quest location 8 days ago to get blood drawn. When she pulled the needle from my arm it was extremely painful. As I walked to my car I could not even move my arm. I went back in and tried to explain to her that this has never happened before and doesn't seem normal. She Shusshed me away and told me to keep pressure on it. It's now 8 days later and my arm is still purple and every night I am in excruciating pain. I thought it would get better but it's not. She either destroyed the vain or hit a nerve or something. She doesn't know what she is doing. I am going to a professional to get my arm looked at today. I'll update later. Awful. I waited over an hour for an appointment and had to leave. There was only one phlebotomist working with absolutely no sense of urgency except for herself when she loudly made the comment that "she needs to be out by 5" because she has somewhere to be. read more

I walked in there once and I worn all of you not to ever go there. I had a feeling that this woman was angry and she hated her job. She pinched my nerve and have pain till this day. Went there and they told me I was late and that I would have to wait some more time. I waited for 20 minutes and they final took me. I gave them the veils full of blood and then two weeks later I get a bill for $175 for the blood work. WTF? Really, just for a routine blood check. The service was bad and the receptionist was rude. I usually don't blast individuals like this but I was just furious that she made me wait so long when I could have just gone when I walked into the place. Had my blood drawn here today. I walked in about 11:20 a.m. right before they close for lunch. I had no appointment, but there were 2 people in line before me. They greeted me pleasantly when I walked in, and took me in within 2 minutes. The phlebotomist was very pleasant, and completed her task quickly and neatly. I have no bruise, and left this office in less than 10 minutes. I experienced none of the posted problems. read more

I went here a few years ago way before I became a yelper. Here was a tall African American man drew my blood & I hated the experience. He gave me an attitude about keeping my arm straight. I have been on dialysis for years and I'm not afraid of needles. While pulling the needle out, he put too much pressure on my arm & pushed it down to the back of the vain. That shit hurts! I was so annoyed, I haven't been back there since. Perhaps it's changed since then, but I'd avoid Quest labs like the plague. read more

People are rude and careless. The person who drew blood from me had injured me in a way that it hurt me from where she had inserted the needle to my thumb and first finger. it still hurts past 6 days since then and motion of that arm is limited. avoid this place if you want to avoid injuries like this. i have had blood drawn multiple times a lab corp and other offices, but i never felt pain like this the moment the needle was inserted. i flinched in my chair and the person still didn't care for a second. when i called after a few days to complain, Loretta is like " it is what it is" " things like this happen all the time". no it doesn't happen all the time, and it certainly isn't normal. In edition, this is the person who actually hurt me in the first place and that's the supervisor of this location, so think again before you chose a location for care. read more

Went to the Parsippany location this morning at 7, which they've taken me as a walk in on 2 other occasions. But today was special. No one was there. Office was open, nobody in sight. Called out to Loretta, no answer. There was one other patient waiting, he shrugged his shoulders as he had been waiting for a while. So I signed in and indicated that I'd waiting the waiting room. An hr later, still nobody has shown up, so I left. An hr after that (still fasting for bloodwork) I returned to still empty office, signed in again and this time clicked "I'll wait in my car" which prompted a response "waiting time is 25 mins". Since I live 5 mins away, I went home, but 2 hrs later, no text. So I went back but this time the door was locked. Knocked several times, no one working. So I decided to try the Denville store. Girl asked "do you have an appointment?" Since the first appointment on line is like 7 months out, I told her that I always walk in and wait. She rudely told me that I could wait in my car and if someone with an appointment fails to show, they'll call me. I indicated that could take hours and she agreed. I told her that I could not wait in the parking lot for hours and he answer was a very rude "fine with me" and slammed the door. Like they're doing me a favor taking my business. This seems to be a company in total disarray with no regard for the patient. I'll find another lab on my health plan. read more

I never write reviews but this place made me so annoyed I had to. This was my first and only time going here. I was going there for a drug screen test for a new job I am starting. The woman gave me the cup to pee in, but I am only 21 years old I can't pee on command. So there wasn't enough in the cup and she got very annoyed and said "I have to be somewhere at 11:30 so I hope you can pee in 10 minutes." She was extremely rude and unpleasant. Worst experience at a place like this. The male doctor was very nice and understanding, but I will not be going back just because of the rude woman. read more
