on Friday I was given the proper kit for H. Pylori and was told I didn't need an appointment to drop off the specimen with the proper paperwork. On Saturday the employees refused to take the specimen without an appointment. They wanted me to sit in the lobby for 3 hours before they would accept it. There was no reason for me to be present during the testing. They could have taken the bag and refrigerated it until they had time to test the poop. I threw the bag through the doorway into the hallway of rooms and left after 45 minutes. The girl said she was going to throw it away even though all the necessary information and doctors orders were in the bag. I will never go back to Quest again. Not patient friendly. I was told that I could drop it off and then they wanted to wait in the lobby for 3 hours. My doctor will be calling you if they threw my poop away read more

Busy! They seem to be doing their very best to get to everyone. Lots of people in the waiting room. Quest has options for walk ins as well as appointments. They take the scheduled appointments on time then do their best to work others in. Today was something else and the reason they get 5 stars. Honestly the 5 stars goes to one of the phlebotomist. She opened the door to let the next patient in and was accosted by a woman who was standing there. Verbally accosted. The woman had been standing next to a patient portal iPad thing where people check in. She loudly complained to the phlebotomist that she couldn't check in. This dear phlebotomist said "mommy, what time was your appointment?" The way this lady yelled at the phlebotomist and the amazing way the phlebotomist professionally and very sweetly and kindly responded amazed everyone of the waiting room. You had to be there. The rude patient said my appointment was at 9:10. She was trying to check in at 9:31. The conversation continued, and the phlebotomist was sweet the entire time, and the patient was very rude on the verge of yelling. If I had been there security, I would've kicked that rude patient out. You could hear a pin drop. We were all just sort of watching this rude person, trying to warm her way to the front of the line even though she was 21 minutes late. The phlebotomist politely explained that their system has, a 10 minute grace. Worked in so if she had arrived within 10 minutes of her appointment, they could've still taken her but once a patient is more than 10 minutes late, the computer automatically switches them to the waitlist, and the phlebotomist do not have the ability to change that. The explanation seemed very reasonable to all of us were waiting, but the patient did not accept it. After the phlebotomist went back to work with the patient, she had come out to welcome, and after the rude patient and their spouse had left many comments went around the waiting room. Anyway, I was just very impressed with the way the phlebotomist handled everything politely didn't get riled up by this overly rude patient and as we were leaving, someone told me oh she's always wonderful. So that's why our family gives quest diagnostics on old Kings five stars. read more

I was a walk-in and I just wanna verify with the technician that my name was on his computer because I didn't see mine on the board .. he continue to tell me that I must not went through and I need to do it again. Meanwhile, there was NOW there are about 5 other people that walk in after me , So he didn't Care one bit if I waited all day. Then a sweet Kind woman pointed out that the TV I guess Updated I thanked her , I name finally appeared, grant you this was a LONG Update. Both local Quest locations are grossly understaffed which leads to difficulty scheduling an appointment. Long wait times my doctor has wanted me to get blood work done immediately but my insurance only takes Quest and they have no appointments within 50 miles for weeks! They don't even have a receptionist or anyone you can call. The really laughable part is that they're always sending emails telling me about all these great tests you can order through Quest. read more

Beyond horrible!!!!! AI is great when it works and insufferable when it doesn't. Appointments are impossible to secure on line so the alternative is to show up and wait which is what i did today. Arrived at 5:58 AM this morning and am number 1 on the waitlist. 2 hrs later I am still number 1. No one to speak with and no recourse. Seriously how do they stay in business. This particular facility is overrun and very poorly managed. LabCorp addresses their issues, unfortunately Quest just blames the doctors and patients for the lack of handling the workload. if your dr orders a blood panel, most times Quest has no available appts in a reasonable amount of time. standby is impossible. read more

Had an appt pre scheduled for 10:30 am. When responding to text, response was you have no apot. Go in, catch an employee, she told me to register at kiosk Kiosk responded, no appt. Told her. They get a big fat zero stars from me. I arrived at 6:30 and signed in as a walk in. the sign in kiosk gave me a number and told me to have a seat. then 2 hours later, someone comes out and says because the kiosk didn't ask my name, i had to start over. i just wasted 2 hours waiting for nothing. thanks a-lot Quest. they just said "well at least we haven't called anyone yetnon the wait list". Waited 80 minutes in a small room with lots of sick people in for the first meeting. Was told to drop off a specimen the next day when the office opened. No receptionist you are required to wait another 80 minutes in a small room full of sick people to drop of the specimen. read more

Been there a few times for tests...as long as you make an apt and not a "walk in", you should get in and out fairly quick. Lab results take awhile..sometimes weeks. If you are in a hurry for lab results, you may want to find another lab. read more

I am bringing to your attention a very poorly handled appointment at a Quest facility at 33 Old Kings Road in Palm Coast Florida. On March 7, 2024, after arriving on time for a 7:40 AM appointment, I signed in to the kiosk. Noting that unfortunately no one in the waiting area was wearing masks, I opted to indicate the choice on the kiosk screen that I would be waiting in my car for a text message notification that the staff was ready for me. I also noted at the time that curiously the large two person reception station was empty. I returned to my car to wait for the text message as instructed. A text came around 15 minutes later and I immediately entered the facility where I had a seat expecting to be attended to right away. Well, I sat there for nearly an hour waiting for my name to be called. During that time the reception area remained unstaffed and there was no one to talk to. Also during that time, I observed several elderly customers (one disabled with a walker) having difficulty signing in at the kiosk. Other customers had to help them since again there was no Quest staff around or stationed in the reception area. Finally, to inquire about waiting so long, I was able to chase down a technician who appeared briefly from a locked door in the back room area. Bottom line, my name was apparently called while I was in my car waiting for the text notification to go in for the appointment. No one was apparently aware or decided to notice that I had chosen the option to wait outside and the ridiculous presumption was made that I had left. There was no further effort at all to try and locate me again. The "wait in your car" option failed and I had to sit for an hour in a crowded waiting room as the only person wearing a mask. No one apologized. Instead the apparent office manager, who I very vocally complained to, simply stated "have a blessed day"...which by the way, can be somewhat offensive to non-Christians. Needless to say, there was a failure of management at this Quest site. A large two person reception area was not staffed at all. It sat empty presumably for the whole day or maybe forever. There was no one around to help or speak to. Elderly and disabled folks had no one to turn to other than other customers for assistance. It was a glowing example of how not to run a business. Obviously, I will never use a Quest facility again. I will share my experience and warn others. And from what I have gathered in looking at reviews and social media, Quest customer experiences already lean heavily to the negative. read more

My wife tried to get an appointment and believed she had. She tried to confirm it on line but couldn't. I advised her to go as a walk in. She went as a walk in and was rudely told that she had to check in at the kiosk. No luck there and was told she could wait some two hours or so if she listed as a walk in. I'd literally give -5 if it was an option! I tried numerous times to make an appointment online and for some reason the online options are not and have not been available. I tried every few days for about 2 months. So I decided to be late for work and just walk in. I sat there for 2 hours and finally asked if I could get a time on how much longer I have to wait. Just to be treated like garbage. Since I was a walk in, I was told I'm not as important as someone who made an appointment. I get that appointments should be priority however they should have 1 person either dedicated for walk ins, or after a certain amount of clients with appointments are helped take a walk in. I was rudely told I might not be helped at all. I lost money at work to be treated like crap by an employee. It's unacceptable that they even allow walk ins when no one is going to help them. read more

This is the fourth time that I've had an amazing experience at this Quest location. Today I had Queyne (I hope I spelled her name correctly). She was very patient and I didn't even realize she was taking my blood until she was all done. Thank you again for the wonderful experience with something I am usually mortified to do. read more

Tried to make appointment but Quest system just looped each time I got nearly done. After 30 minutes of trying, decided to just go in next morning. Got to Quest and signed in by 6:15 AM. Was not seen until 7:35! Very long wait for someone who tried to make an appt. Came home to call and advise about the problem and couldn't get through. I went to this location for some blood work , as a walk-in. Understanding that I be seen as a standby. An older Russian woman rudely tells me that they are not taken anymore patients that they are closing at 1pm. Normal operating hours were open until 3pm. No explanation as to why they were closing early . The attitude was uncalled for and unprofessional. read more

This review is no reflection of the human staff. It is of the inept policy makers. I had to make my own labwork appointment, my Dr.s office didn't. After making it, I received no document or confirmation email with the address, direction or phone number. The phone number I used to make appoinyment now said we're permanently closed. Day of appointment I went to find the location. No signage. My GPS took me only to a complex of six large buildings. Couldn't find. Tried to call for assistance in locating. Automated - no human. Googled addresses, went to 2 more locations, 1 was the permanently closed one, 1 was wrong location, could have waited as a a walk-in, but it was all day wait. Nope. Went back to original location walked inside building, even though there was no indication Quest was inside. Halfway down long hall was "Laboratory" on printer paper w/ arrow. Thought it was lab for one of the 2 Dr. offices inside building but kept searching. Way down past another Dr. office at the end was Quest Diagnostic on printer paper. 1) You cheap money-grubbers need to invest in proper signage. Put it on the marquee outside in parking lot, add lettering to the entrace door, put up real signs to and direct your customers to your office. 2) Send out a confirmation email. 3) Add a human customer service option. 4) Update online info, remove closed address. read more

All the staff is great (mostly) and have used them before. First time blood was drawn by an asian girl and it was bad. After dropping the tube, she then pushed my arm down with force, took the sample and I have never bled so much after a blood draw. A tennis ball size black and blue now on my arm. The other employees as this location did great, only a drop of blood on the bandage and never black and blue. This employee needs training. read more

My doctor ordered a test for me that he wanted done right away. I registered as a walk-in at the Old Kings location. I was #5 on the waiting list. I checked on line to see when the next available appointment was and it was the following Wednesday so decided to wait. The list continued to go down until I was #1 on the list. Heard lots of chatter in the back but wasn't being called. I was the only one left in the waiting room. I moved my seat so that I could be seen. When I was finally noticed, I was told that they were not taking anymore walk-ins. I told her I was registered and had beefed waiting over an hour and was number one on the list. She said sorry, they weren't taken anymore walk ins. I continued to explain that I was on the walk in list but was still refused service. I will never step foot in Quest Diagnostics again. The wait time for an appointment is ridiculous. Extremely rude to leave someone waiting that long and then refuse service. read more

Today is my second time at this location and both times have gone well. For today, I made an appointment for 7:15am for a fasting blood test. After signing in electronically, I waited about 1 minute before being called in. The phlebotomist was friendly and efficient. I've been told that my veins are deep and they roll, so I was happy when she "stuck me" in one try. This location is very convenient to me based on where I live, and if you make an appointment, the process goes very smoothly. The online appointment process with Quest is super easy so I appreciate that. read more

The facility is clean and easy to access but past that there is little else positive to say. The technicians are generally curt and not there to answer questions and there is never someone at the reception desk. Wait times are high and if you wait in your car they will likely skip you. read more

Miss Trish was fantastic with my 5 year old this morning! We had a test sent to us from a lab out of state, and she took the extra time to call and double check she was doing the right test/draw in the right way. She was calm and confident. Once she had verified everything, the actual draw was so fast, my son watched everything and then didn't even cry. I didn't know what any of the paperwork was that I had, and she took care of everything the right way so that we wouldn't have to do a re-test. We had an appointment and still waited for about 10 minutes, but the care and personal attention was well worth it! Wait times are sometimes the cost of good care. Quest Palm Coast 33 Old Kings Road; First visit in July 22, had an appointment, signed in on time only to find I had a 45 min wait. Another young woman was discussing her wait with a staff member since she had to get to work, staff member was extremely rude to her and the young woman left. After that treatment I left as well. Re-scheduled to later in the month. Again with an appointment and this time after signing in on time had an hour wait. My name didn't even show up on the board so I asked tech when she poked her head out. I asked if I was even checked in, she was extremely rude, asked if I thought I was special and kept muttering on her way back to the rear. Decided I didn't want this wacko sticking me with a needle and left. And did I mention when I first sat down I killed a cockroach walking in the lobby? Guess he had a bad day too. Horribly inefficient! We arrived at 8:30 - walk in, because while we have an appointment for next Tuesday, husband's blood levels have dropped a lot and doctor needs to see where they're at for a transfusion. We were 9th on the walk in list and half an hour later, someone sticks their head out and says "They're short handed today and walkin's will need to wait 2, 2-1/2 hours, so make an appointment". We chose to wait, but most left - we were now 3rd on the list. Between that shout and 10:30, they took 1 walk in - the rest were all appointments. Then - lunch break. In the next hour, they took in 2 people at 15 minute intervals. And mind you, appointments are schedule 3 every 10 minutes (so there are 3 appointments at 10:00 AM, 3 at 10:10 AM and so on). Backed up again after they return from their lunch and at noon another individual pops out and says "they're too busy to handle walk in's" and they wipe the Walk In calendar clear.
