The building was quiet, I was temp checked by someone at the door and directed to the elevator. I easily found Quest on the second floor and walked in. They had a scan station for the QR Code they emailed me. I wanted for a minute or two and then Shauna came to get me. She was kind and calm and explained everything in a soft but knowing voice. She talked me through the prep work and gave clear instruction. She asked about me weekend and we giggled about something and then she's applying a bandage. It was over. Not pain, barely a pinch. She had me confirm my name on all of the vials and sent me off with "be safe" wishes. She was wonderful. I don't know if you can request technicians but I would absolutely see Shauna again. I registered at the kiosk, then stepped out into the hall, waiting for a text saying that I was next up. Received my text at 10:01 a.m., so not wonderful, but at least I was about to be seen . . . or so I thought. I started to get a little concerned about 30 minutes later, because my name hadn't been called . . . but hardly any one's name had been called, so maybe everyone was receiving as horrible service as me. I couldn't even go to the counter to ask the lady how much longer it would be because there was a line at the counter !!! Finally, at 10:50 a.m., I burrowed my way up the counter, and pointed out it was 10:50 a.m., and I arrived for my 9:30 a.m. appointment on time. She looked up my name and said she had called it twice, no one had come, so she had removed me. I was dumbfounded, of course, but shouldn't have been surprised. Bad on me, because I had been to this same location about a year ago, and remember getting bad service, then, too.

Called LabCorp; they make it nearly impossible to talk to a real person, you have to end up choosing a selection from the automated system that doesn't match what you need just to talk to someone. They just said to call my doctor, but as mentioned, my doctor didn't order the test and the bill is coming directly from LabCorp. This is the 2nd time this has happened since moving to Kansas--healthcare here is jacked up--it's like they charge extra services just to see if you are checking the details, and then test your determination as they send you in circles and make-up excuses without any resolution. According to the invoice, test were run at the Overland Park, KS location...although bill also lists a NC location for payments???

I started my journey with Spirit of Health in May 2026 after not being able to get answers or help…read morefrom the healthcare system. Doctors did a lot of testing and guessing and not giving me answers. I couldn't believe how thorough the original testing was at SOH, and how much time Dr. Vaughn spent with me going over the results and answering all my questions (2.5 hours in one session alone). Here's a bit of my journey: * My PCP thought my issue was thyroid; Dr. Vaughn found Lyme Disease instead. After going through the SOH Lyme protocol, I have no more symptoms! * The Hepatologist said there nothing could be done about my liver--they would just do a scan every six months and wait for it to turn into cancer. After 2 months of being on treatment with SOH, 4/5 liver markers showed improvement! * My cholesterol went from 200 to 174 after 2 months. * My A1C went from 6.5 to 6.2 in 2 months. But the best thing is that I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER! I have energy that I haven't had in months. My mind is clearer, more focused. I arrived with my labs to be drawn and was greeted by two young nurses who took turns deciding who wanted to do it, so unprofessional to start. Then they decided to do it together, aw so fun except for the fact that both of them were incredibly inexperienced. They began trying to find a vein and couldn't for the life of them. I've had blood drawn many times and have been told I have a perfect vein for it, which I even showed them. They poked me a total of 5 times and were MOVING the needle around inside my arm. NEVER GOT A VEIN. I passed out completely cold and they were laughing and joking to eachother trying to figure out what to do. I am a young woman who is in the medical field and couldn't believe what was going on. After passing out twice, I asked if I could lay down so they said, "yeah you can go to that room" and proceeded to watch me walk myself over there while half unconscious. I've never passed out from needles but felt nausea, extreme sweating, and was pale as a ghost. They were looking at eachother the entire time trying to figure out what to do as if they've never done it before. They said to eachother "should we get Buck" and I said yes please. I was silent the entire time but knew I literally wouldn't make it home if they kept trying. I was wearing a dress, laying with my feet toward the door. Buck comes in and says "you are always supposed to either cover her or close the door because she's wearing a dress". Great, and don't you know it, moments after he said that a strange man walked past my door, looked directly up my dress, and buck had to tell him to go back to the lobby. Why was there a strange person just roaming around anyway? And why the hell was I not covered up if that was the policy. Of course, buck gets the blood drawn on the first try. Whatever you do, do not go if you value your safety and dignity. Other helpers let me know if I should sue...

She handed it back. "All set." 6-12-26 Billing calls me to collect. Was RUDE. Knowing I have no out of pocket expenses for this, I checked to verify that they billed my correct insurance. They did not. She had my old insurance data in the computer. I gave her the information off of my new card. She said she'd reprocess the billing. 9-17-26 Collections leaves me a voicemail. I called my Overland Park location of Diagnostic Imaging to go back to the beginning of the problem. I got "Harvey" in the billing department. She started off condescending. I asked her to compare and verify insurance member ID numbers to find the source of the problem. They own the problem. My member ID number was initially recorded incorrectly with one number off in the sequence. The call was disconnected. I called back and after another time-wasting event of being on hold and reiterating that "English" was my choice of language.. I got "Terica." She was dismissive at first as I explained my previous call and interaction. She prematurely informed me that there was no record of my previous call... 15 minutes before this one - until.. oh.. "Yes. It's in the computer. It's been taken care of and has been reprocessed for billing with the new information." These are the necessary actions required to be taken. They would have had to happen anyway... (because Diagnostic Imaging was irresponsible) I could have very well been rude and condescending toward them. I was not. Did they need to be rude and condescending to me in order for these corrections to be made? Absolutely not. Did anyone in the Diagnostic Imaging chain of communication once express empathy for me or take responsibility for THEIR mistakes ? Not one. I have been inconvenienced. MY time has been wasted. I have been harassed for payment they didn't receive only due to THEIR incompetence and sloppy lack of attention to detail. I was mistreated by rude and condescending women behaving like petty, entitled, bullying high school girls. WAS I being judged by several "representatives" in their collections process as someone who must be unworthy of kindness or respectful communication? Apparently. Do BETTER, Diagnostic Imagining! Some patients are struggling with terminal illness or facing life threatening treatment. THEY, especially, do not need your negativity. I'm going to KU MED next year and bypassing your mean, lazy, emotionally immature humans mishandling vulnerable humans.
