I had a fasting appointment on Friday but when I arrived on time at 12:30 the lab was closed due to a flood. Six weeks ago I came in for blood work, I had an appointment and waited almost an hour. I left with a bruise on my arm that lasted almost a week. The phlebotomist need better training. Today I stopped by without an appointment, it was busy and I asked about a good time to come back when I wasn't so busy. The women helping people check in, said after 3pm. I came back at 3:45 and there was one person waiting. When the phlebotomist came out to get the waiting person, she asked if I had an appointment and when I answered no, she said they were done taking people for the day. I went to my blood test today expecting to have a miserable experience (due to all the bad reviews here); however, I had an easy, pleasant experience. All the staff I encountered were all very professional and personable and helpful. My blood-taker was over-the-top brilliant. It's the first time I didn't bruise/bleed internally (I have very tiny veins)! She was super knowledgeable and careful with me. A+ for Quest on Avocado!!! Super nice kid. My arm is completely covered with a tattoo and I'm not very vascular. Usually they're poking around in there for several minutes. Sophia got the vein right away. The phlebotomist used a small vein and was unsuccessfully digging the needle around to get more blood to flow. She had to bring in another person to finish the blood draw using another arm and vein. Went in for a blood draw today. Aside from smelling like urine because the bathrooms were filthy the guy who did my blood draw was incompetent and extremely rude. He talked condescendingly to me. After he was done I noticed the index finger he used to place gauze over my open wound was fully exposed and I asked him if the glove ripped by mistake and he said it was intentional because it was his "touchy feely" finger. Never go here! They would do retaliation on you if you complain and lose your results on purpose. I had absolute terrible experience! I went there for my regular blood work by the end of February. When I signed up, they informed me that the waiting time is MAX 40 minutes. To be clear, my blood work required fasting. So after 1 hr of waiting, I came up and they ALL went to a lunch break making me and 7 older patients waiting for them. After 2 hours of waiting and being super hungry, I complained that I won't wait any longer. The worker, a phlebotomist and probably some sort of manager, decided to except me. She was very rude and unpleasant towards me and never apologised. Unbelievable! Like it was my fault! End of the story, I never got my test results. Already almost 2 months passed by. Blood draws are usually a terrible experience for me. I always hydrate as much as possible the day before and still it often takes 2-3 pokes to find a vein. One time, the person ran out of pokes they're allowed to legally do in a day and had to reschedule. That was not the case with this Quest visit! Ivan ("the incredible") found a vein within seconds, I couldn't even feel the needle going in, and equally as fast he had two vials done and I was on my way out of there! I literally could not believe it. It's like if you only ever got apple slices for Halloween and then for the first time you got a King Size Reese's pack! Like, "this exists??" How is it possible? Please update your systems for modern times. I was turned away for a 48 hour hcg test because I didn't print my order out. It's 2020, this is unacceptable to deny medical orders because your systems are so archaic. The girls who were there to "help" me didn't offer much help, rather to just come back Monday. In this day and age, when's physician sends their patient an order through a secure patient portal, that should be sufficient to show the testing is legitimate. How a literal paper print out of the emailed order is more valuable is laughable. I asked if I could email the order to them - no. Could I print it to one of their wireless printers? No. They told me they didn't have internet...what?? What a joke. read more

I've had good and bad experiences but now that Clarence is back, it's been a slam dunk every time! I swear that man never has a bad day. He is always happy and if you are nervous, he does his best to distract you. This location is usually pretty quiet late after noons, so if you don't have to fast I usually just walk in and only have to wait 10 mins. This place is a joke. I signed in earlier in the day and found out it would take 40 minutes. Went to my dentist appointment. Signed in again and asked why my name didn't pop up on the screen. Hubby went in for blood (which we do very frequently) so this is not anything new. Unfortunately, the people who work here are lazy and inept. The first girl stuck him and missed the vein and stated "well I missed so I will have to try again". He said no and asked for someone else and she was not much better. Hubby left with a HUGE bump under the skin and swollen where they attempted twice to remove blood. Because the second person went through the vein ie why he has a big bump. Then when he asked them to send the results to another physician he was told they no longer forward results to anyone but the prescribing doctor. I've left a review on yelp. A terrible experience. it was deleted. I tried to schedule an appointment online the site would not accept my email address. I tried calling no one ever answered. I decided to walk in first thing and wait. I've done this several times that early (6:30 AM) never had an issue. I checked in and selected standby. No one was at the front for more than a minute and would not take questions. A person came out to help a women check in and he was so put out about it I found it to be rude. I tried to ask how long the standby was, he never answered. Twice the supervisor came out to call out the 4 people on standby to see we were still here and stated it should be around 20 to 25 minutes. So, we continued to wait. I finally caught the supervisor up front at 9:30 am and she said, and I quote: We have 5 people for 5 appointments unless there is a cancellation you will not be seen. I then went to the check in and scheduled an appoint for 11:15 AM, I was fasting and prepared myself with fasting 3 days, I needed this done that day. At 12:20 I was called in by the supervisor, I asked her how you and your team could let people wait hours on standby and asked her name. She refused, I asked her last name and she refused and said you don't need to know. I asked her supervisor's name and again she refused. She then said she refused to draw my blood and get out of her cubicle. I said you will draw my blood and I don't care which cubicle. She sent me to room 5 and someone else drew my blood. That person was sympathetic and understanding and is very good at what she does. I thanked her. I';ve been using Quest for many years and will never use your service again. Suggestions: 1.
