My husband needed a new PCP and this practice was recommended to him. I cannot understand why. His…read moredoctor couldn't seem less interested in him. The office practices are TERRIBLE. In order to keep my insurance, my husband must have a physical, have several tests, and have the physician complete a form by a certain date every year. The staff never heard of such a thing - and I work for one of the largest employers in the region which is 10 minutes down the road from their Mystic office. Furthermore: (1) You cannot call and speak with any staff - you must leave "a non urgent voice mail." Then the same person calls you back. (2) They refused to give my husband his blood test results. They told him (after he left several "non-urgent voice mails") that he must schedule another visit and take more time off from work just for that purpose. (3) They are refusing to fax the blood test results to the medical office where I work so that I can keep our insurance. (4) My husband called and left another "non-urgent voice mail" and the reply was "YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN A PATIENT IN THIS OFFICE, WE HAVE NO RECORD OF YOU BEING HERE." (5) Everyone my husband has had interaction with seemed disinterested, confused about insurance practices, and the need to submit biometrics forms so that patients can keep their employee health insurance. Save yourself the hassle, time and expense - go elsewhere for primary care.

As first time homebuyers that have spent a year looking for an antique home we have experienced a…read morelot of ups and downs. Our experience with Tom and April was one of the major ups! They were on the scene within a few days of our offer being accepted on a home built in 1815. We were a little nervous and did not know what to expect. Tom's experience, know-how and ability to communicate and educate left us with a confident feeling that we were doing the right thing. He explained everything so that we could know what needed attention first and what was not a 'huge deal'. He was extremely thorough and seemed like he had seen everything before, whether as an inspector or a builder himself. With everything in this world having an exorbitant cost right now, this was an absolute value in all respects, we spent 3 hours on site with them before they started shooting videos and taking pics of items in the report. Our realtor found us a true gem in Tom and April, Sound Home Inspections comes with the highest of recommendations.

We were there for the inspection and found them to be an absolute pleasure to deal with. They were professional and thorough. They answered every question we had and went the extra mile to make sure we understood everything about the house. They labeled several important parts of the house including the Watermain shut off and the gas shut off So it was more than an inspection it was an education! The inspection turned out well and we are excited moving forward and purchasing the house. The report was thorough easy to read and help us with the big decision. He is not a thorough with his inspection. All kinds of things he missed with his inspection. The biggest thing he missed is that the tank that was installed outside is an inside tank. There's a label that clearly states it's an inside tank. Turns out that it is all kinds of violations. His recommendation was to repaint the tank. It took over a month a half to get anyone from his office to call back. I filled a claim with his insurance company and they are equally unprofessional and incompetent. They have a disclaimer that their inspection is only valid for a year. True, if someone else wants to buy the property, it's been "inspected" within a year. They are full of excuses and apologizes. That is used as a cop out excuse and they say some bs how it's my responsibility to ensure things are done correctly. I'm not an inspector so why is it my responsibility to ensure the inspection company does their job. Their insurance company offered me a refund for how much they charged to do their garbage inspection. They then offered me not even 20% of the cost to fix his incompetency. They also say that I have delete or remove all negative reviews so they only show positive reviews. I did not accept such bs offer and let them keep scamming other people. Do not recommend Pilar to post to anyone. Please stay away from them As a result, I need to replace the tank to an outside tank. It has to be moved further away from the door and a concrete slab needs to be put down. No oil company will do the job unless I am a customer. My oil company is charging me $5,800 to fix it. Pilar to post insurance company offered $1,150. Not even half of the cost and they want all negative comments removed. It makes sense that the 5 star reviews are 5, 3 years old. Clearly they are not a consistent 5 star rating. I refuse to be bribed with their low ball offer. As if they're doing me a favor to pay for their incompetence. No thank you.
