Experience rated below zero…read more I came to this location only because my school requires a drug screen, and the treatment I received was absolutely unacceptable. This experience involved two women--one at the front desk and one who appeared to be the phlebotomist. Both were slow, hostile, rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional, with zero customer service skills. I am beyond angry. I arrived a few minutes after 10:00 a.m. on 1/9/26 and checked in using the kiosk. The front desk clerk immediately had an attitude--cold, nasty, and glaring at me. I wasn't sure I was in the system, so I showed her my paperwork. She reluctantly snatched it, barely acknowledged me, and told me to sit down because I was "checked in." I asked about the wait time and was told rudely that she "didn't know" and that there was "no way to find out." I waited and waited while my name was never called. I approached the desk multiple times, and each time I was met with the same nasty tone and told again that there was "no way to know" how long the wait would be. I explained that I needed to pick up my son and take him to an appointment. She did not care at all. The waiting room eventually emptied completely, yet my name was still never called. New people came in and out, and still, nothing. At approximately 12:25 p.m., one of the women came out and loudly announced, "Everyone in this room go to the other room. We are closed for lunch." I immediately approached her with my paperwork and was told angrily, "Ma'am, go in the next room!" I said, "No, that's not fair. I've been waiting over two hours." She shouted at me and said, "No you did not! You got here after 11 a.m." We argued back and forth because that was a blatant lie. I refused to leave. Only then did the front desk clerk finally look at my paperwork, properly pronounce my name, and say, "I've been calling you. I called you three times and then took you out of the system." That was absolutely untrue. I told her so. At one point, I heard her call the name "Valerie." My name starts with a V, but I am not Valerie. She then took my paperwork to the back, returned, and said they could not take me and that I should come back at 1:00 p.m. By that point, I had already wasted over 2 hours of my time. I told her to remove me from the system and left without getting my blood work done. Bottom line: I waited over two hours, was treated with disrespect and hostility, was likely skipped or mishandled, and still did not receive the required service. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had, and it was entirely avoidable if the staff had done their jobs professionally. To the Manager: This level of unprofessionalism is a direct reflection of your failure to lead and supervise your staff. What occurred at this location was not an isolated attitude problem. It was systemic incompetence, poor training, and complete disregard for patients' time and obligations. Your employees were hostile, dismissive, and mishandled my visit so badly that I waited over two hours and still did not receive a required drug screen. That is not a mistake. That is negligence and operational failure. I did not get the names of the two employees involved, but that is not an excuse for inaction. You can easily determine who was working the front desk and phlebotomy area during the morning and early afternoon of 1/9/26, and you are responsible for addressing their conduct. Do not insult me with a generic response claiming you will "look into it." That excuse is meaningless without actual consequences and corrective action. These employees need immediate retraining, close supervision, and accountability, and if that cannot be accomplished, they should not be interacting with the public. This situation demands real action, not empty words. How you respond will determine whether this issue ends here or is escalated further.

Within minutes, the blood technician, Jo checked me in. I waited no more than 10 minutes. She then escorted me to the Lab. room, took the blood sample, gave me a few instructions and I left. She was very cordial and professional and answered any questions I had. I would recommend this location. For those who are driving, there is a parking lot. Bring cash for that is the only method of payment.

Came here more recently (forgot to check in) for bloodwork and has no issues…read more There is no one to greet you coming in. You have to go to a kiosk and register. Once registered, you sit and wait for someone to come out and call you. They accept appointments and walk-ins. Appointments get first priority, so I suggest making an appointment online before coming here. I made an appointment online (which was confirmed via email & text), so all I really needed to do at the kiosk was scan my ID & insurance card. The wait wasn't too long (there were a few people already sitting there when I came in) and I was called right around my appointment time. The whole thing was quick and I was out within 10 mins. The one who drew my blood was nice and professional. She was the only staff member I encountered the whole time I was there. They have a sizable parking lot, so you should be able to find a spot. Only the second time I've been to a Quest (the other was in New Rochelle years ago - but this one was better), so I have really no complaints. I'd come here again if needed.

A few min later, I was told by a phlebotomist that they can no longer take anyone because it's too late. I called quest customer service and the representative told me their last available slot is 10 min before closing, and it was well before that time. But there was nothing she could do about it. Not sure what the point of customer service is if they can't help the customer when a location refuses to provide service. Then the phlebotomist tells me that she normally would do it but has a family emergency and needs to get home. So I said well what about the other phlebotomist? Apparently she had an emergency and needed to leave too. So don't come here expecting to get service, it appears that the employees have too much going on in their personal life to actually do their jobs.

I have had to get my blood drawn in public and private hospitals and doctor's offices around the world and have never had a more efficient experience. That patient portal is also easy to use and your reports are available in three different degrees of detail, which is very useful. That said, there are a number of areas of improvement: 1. Signage: You can not enter from Lockwood Avenue. The driveway is chained on that side. You have to enter from Van Guilder Avenue; 2. Reception: There was no staff. A scanner automatically scans your insurance information. The decor/ ambience is not what one would expect of any healthcare facility. It can only be described as grungy. i'm not sure what can be done to improve the space as the building itself looks pretty run-down, too; and 3. Training: The nurse who did the blood work seemed frazzled and overworked. She seemed to be the only person on staff present and had to juggle calling in patients, drawing blood, and entering the data. Perhaps the appointments are scheduled too closely together, but investing in your staff so that they can work with a smile is good business sense. You want motivated employees to not just work quickly, but minimize errors.

Sign in was seamless and did not have to wait very long (probably because I ordered the blood test a la carte aka paid out of pocket) but the phlebotomist Kamal? blew my vein. Never felt pain like that before. He was a one man show bouncing from room to room so was probably on robot mode but nonetheless, this should never happen; my arm is still sore and hurt from this morning's blood draw. Quest is MUCH better, albeit more expensive. Especially with the new self test ordering stuff that has become en vogue. I will try a different location, but I will more than likely pay more for Quest...you definitely get what you pay for. Avoid this location for any testing.

The waiting room was packed and I decided to wait in the hall until I received the text. A woman was waiting in the hallway for over two hours because she did the same as me. I saw numerous people who came in after me, leave. I finally received the text. When I asked the front desk staff person whether they text first or call out the name, she stated that they call the name first and then text the patient. This makes no sense. You have 30 people in a small waiting room that has only 5 chairs. Everyone is standing on top of one another. Why the hell would I stay in there with all those people? Of course I'm going to wait outside. If you're offering people the option. To receive a text so that they don't have to be around so many people, especially during this moment in history, why would you not text th first? Instead, you call their name and when they don't hear you, they go on to the next person and the person after that, and then they call you. I literally watched a woman walk in AFTER I received my text, that got called up before they called my name. Makes no sense and I won't ever be back. Not to mention that the phlebotomist took his time coming to me, likely because he heard me complaining. This place is full of crap.
