I was there for almost two hours to do my drug test. The lady was so rude , left me in the waiting room bc she forgot about me. When I called someone over to the front desk she made me give my full name and the reason I was there in front of the waiting room full of people which made me uncomfortable. I went here two days ago to get a hCG test done. Please do not go here due to them not knowing what they are doing. Two days later I got a notification that my results were back. When I went to check my results, it said that the test was final and that they did not perform it. I called quest and they said to call the customer service which I was on hold for 30 minutes just to find out that they drew the sample incorrectly and sent the wrong tubes, thankfully customer service refunded my bank account read more

I have dealt with this company because they were used by two medical studies that I'm involved with. Customer service on the phone is non-existent and misleading. You end up having to show up in person and I've been turned away more than been successful. My experience with them has been horrible it's incredible how many hours I've wasted to just get two simple blood samples. I'm telling both studies to please never use this company again. This location no longer has anyone available to greet you or help assist during check in. It is all through a computer portal, which is convienant, however extremely challenging for many of the older patients to use which creates long wait times to check in. Many time other patients end up having to help elderly people check in. The staff that is on duty is generally not helpful even if you do ask for assistance. They just say you need to sign in. And walk away. They aren't generally pleasant or polite to patients. They do not fully inform patients of directives for dropping off samples...which apparently you need to make an appointment for, which they DO NOT tell you. Then when you try to drop anything off, there is no one at the desk to collect it, then you wait to speak to someone for 10-20 mins and when you do, they tell you make an appointment while you stand there with the sample that you were just instructed to by their staff to DROP OFF. Honestly I have yet to find a facility for bloodwork that doesn't suck (I've been to several Quests and Labcorp in the area) but now you don't even have an actual human being to deal with until they take your blood. If I didn't have to go to Quest to get my test done for my condition per my doctor, I definitely would not. Also don't go to the on Fairmount Ave, its worse. read more

I tried to become a customer here as the location is much closer then the preferred labs my doctor uses. I had asked my doctor to fax a blood work order to this location to get my tests done. I then have attempted to call this lab for 3 days straight to make sure they got the order so that I could then schedule an appt to have the test done. I've called at least 4-5 time everyday and left voicemails each time. No one answers the phone here or returns messages. My last attempt, I couldnt leave a message because the voicemail box is full. How are customers supposed to know they received our doctors orders if they won't pick up the phone and confirm? Are we supposed to just take time out of our day, show up and hope they have it? I have been coming to Quest Lutherville for about a year. I'm here usually twice a month. They have always been great. But the last 2 visits there has been a new guy working there and he is rude to all the clients. The first time I saw him I told him my doctor sent an electronic request and he rudely told me he didn't have it and dismissed me. I saw him do this to 2 other patients in the short time I was there. He respected no one and treated everyone like crap. My visit today I checked in online and came in when I got the text. When I walked up to the counter he rudely told me that I needed to check in on the kiosk and no one was working up front. I tried to tell him I already checked in and got the text to come in but he just walked away. I might have to switch to labcorp so I don't have to deal with this guy. He is ruining this location. The information posted says that they recommend appointments but they do not require them. This same employee was also telling people they need to make an appointment and come back. Quest mixed up my blood test results with someone else's putting that person's life at risk and scaring the heck out of me until it was resolved. 9/28/21: A1C result reported a life-threatening but unlikely 12 for me. Either the lab screwed up... Or my Continuous Glucose Monitor calibration had gone incredibly bad. Spoiler: my CGM reported the accurate 90 day average of 4.61 - which was confirmed by a different blood sugar test at Quest and a finger stick at my endocrinologist. Since 2018, I've maintained glucose control via CGM & diet and have had normal or near normal A1C test results since then. But based on that one faulty Quest result my internist was ready to put me on insulin! Quest had already admitted to lab error on a different blood test at different test site the previous week that required a re-draw. On one hand, I'd have preferred to assume they screwed up this test too but and I was not willing to bet my life on it either. So Quest scared the bejesus out of me until further tests confirmed my CGM readings. I believe either the phlebotomist or the lab mislabeled mixed up blood vials. So some poor Quest client thinks their A1C is great when in fact it is in the life-threatening range. They need to track this patient down and make good. Otherwise I consider Quest guilty of criminal negligence. Quest needs to notify every one who had an A1C blood draw that day and retest them for free. And refund my insurance company for their faulty testing. And thank me for not suing them for mental anguish. Oh, and count on a needlessly painful blood draw (note: blood draws should not be painful through the entire draw and yet they were for both my husband and me) and a large black bruise each and every time you use this lab... ****DONT GO BETWEEN 1 and 2pm...go before or after**** I was very close to walking out. I walked in at about 1:45pm and registered at the kiosk, sat there with 2 ppl in front of me and it was not until 2:20 that I was called. I told myself that I would give it until 2:25 since I had to be somewhere at 3pm. The wait times the tv screen gives you are not accurate. They took forever to do the 2 ppl before me. I think I did catch the techs during their lunch break as 2 of them walked out for about 15mins with lunch tuperwares and ignored that I was just sitting there...Really they should just close for half an hour so that ppl can eat lunch and I'm not waiting there in frustration. Someone who came in at 2:15 behind me was called right after I was called. I was pretty miffed about this. They dont have someone to take your paperwork and ins stuff beforehand so the tech drawing your blood has to do that too. Thankfully she was expedient and had a nice manner. All and all, I would pick another location next time. I wouldnt go back to this place unless I really had to. read more

First time visitor, as I've previously gone to LabCorp for bloodwork. They have a clean, quiet waiting room and efficient (and friendly!) front desk person. It took about 40 minutes with 6 or so people in front of me, and the experience was more to-the-point (and less friendly) once I headed back to have my blood drawn. The technician wasn't interested in pleasantries, immediately told me how much money I owed, made me sign some forms, and got right to the blood draw. I asked a question about how long it would take for results and got a very snappy, "24 to 48 hours." (I'm sure they get that question all day every day, it just came across making me feel like I asked something silly). Aside from that, the process was quick and relatively painless- so I achieved what I came for... Overall? Average experience, nothing special, but not sure I can/should expect more for a routine blood test. read more

Stay far far away! My husband arrived at Quest in Lutherville and then had to wait 45 minutes just to picked up a collection kit. The following day he went back, waited another 40 minutes to return it to and they said that it was the wrong kit and they couldn't use the sample he was bringing back. They had the physicians order and we're the ones that gave it to him in the first place! What a bunch of incompetent people. So he got another order and went to Lab Corp instead. Quest didn't even apologize. Terrible customer service and riddled with incompetent people. Do not waste your time. read more

Absolutely horrible office at Lutherville-Timonium, MD. No clue and no professionalism, ineptitude is their standard. I had an appointment scheduled at a certain time. I came 25 mins early (I had another event to attend so since you can just show up figured going in early would be of benefit) I signed in, repeat I signed in.... Confirming I had the appointment for the time scheduled. But I figured since I'm here now signing in they'd take me once those who came before me were seen. Next my turn comes up as I am now the person in the office the longest, right? No. Lady to came after me (walk in is taken) I walk up and say that I have an appointment but that I signed in, inquired I wouldn't be held because I had an appointment? That wouldn't make sense. Lady said she'd look into it... Told me to sit down, abruptly I might add. Next a second lady that came in 9 minutes after me is taken. I walked up again, saying again, 'I was here before her also'...again the worker told me to 'sit down and that she was with a patient'...are you kidding me? The worker was obviously upset that I dared to inquire on the waiting issue. No concept of decision making for the patient, no concept of figuring out the system to get me in, no effort. What a major fail. So, lesson learned. Wont ever go to this place, its dirty too btw, its hardly something you'd want in a 'medical environment'.... totally unprofessional and I can understand now why it has the reputation it does. I honestly dont know what I did wrong besides leaving my ID in the car. Cause when I came back it was like they were on a mission to make me have a bad day. They made me wait to check in even though there was no body at the counter when I returned from my car. It was just plain mean they didn't have to do me like that especially unprovoked. Fast wait time, but my results were not faxed to my doctor in time, and when my Dr called them about getting the results they said they didn't have any for me: but then found them a couple hours later and faxed them over. Then the results showed a fluke reading in only one of the lab tests, now forcing me to go back and get it all redone. Oh, and my arm was black and blue by and puffed up from where they stuck the needle to draw blood. I honestly tried to cancel my doctors referral for lab work here after reading the reviews but I'm glad they didn't. I was 4th in line and was seen within 5 minutes. They also allowed my husband back with me since I tend to get lightheaded. The nurse hit the vein first try and I hadn't even felt it. I left without bruises or soreness in my arm. Now there was a strangers pee cup on the counter which was gross but I'll definitely continue to use this location. read more

I just had a horrible experience here. The woman behind the desk cut me off mid sentence and when I asked if she understood what I was saying because I wasn't finished what I was saying she flipped out on me. She told me I needed to learn respect because she has kids my age (I'm 26, why does that matter whether she has to be nice to me or not?). This is my place of choice for getting blood work completed. I am a difficult "stick" for bloodwork and this is the only place where the techs are able to get what they need on the first try. I suggest staff training at this site. The people working need to welcome clients, smile, be pleasant and "pretend" interest in their work. The man who drew blood did not say ONE word to me other than instructions. This, unfortunately, is consistent with previous visits to this site. Went through the effort of scheduling an appt, but I was helped as if I was a walk in. So why bother?

30 minute wait for a urine test with only two people in front of me. Which I wouldn't have minded THAT much, but the customer service was horrible. The woman who took my sample berated me in front of coworkers and customers because I washed my hands after I finished the sample. A few minutes later she handed me my ID and I asked if I was good to go, and she yelled AGAIN and told me I was being salty because I wasn't listening to her. I told her she was just grumpy and should lighten up and she of course didn't take that too well. I was nothing but polite the entire time, even while being yelled at. Spare yourself and don't waste your time going here. I scheduled a urinalysis for work on my lunch break (thinking this is something that should take no more than 15 minutes). Well, I waited for 45 minutes along with the same 4 people in the waiting room, while the employees just took their grand old time lollygagging in the back. Not one other customer came out in that time. You could hear them talking and carrying on while we all waited. I finally after waiting for 45 minutes told the lady, I was there for a urinalysis and was going to pee my pants if I didn't go soon. She said, "well we are busy." Then finally they got to work and she took me back. What is the point of making an appointment if everyone just gets seen as a walk in as well. I don't think this fault was the company, but I think it was the employees at that particular location. The employees are rude, unprofessional and uncaring. This place is garbage. read more
