My mother is 72 and was very sick and could not get a timely outpatient appointment here. She ended up in the hospital for several days with pneumonia/flu. Upon discharge, a follow up appointment was scheduled by hosptial staff and listed on her discharge sheet. When my mother called to confirm, they had no record of the appointment and could not get her in to see her regular doctor for a follow up visit until 11 days after hospital discharge. This is not acceptable. She is also placed on hold for a long time each time she calls before being able to speak with someone. She will stick around because she loves her doctor but hoping the practice is able to improve their processes.

I warned the nurse or phlebotomist I'm a hard stick ahead of time. Ended up only needing 2 pokes, she apologized profusely for having to use the top of my hand. Didn't bother me any, I was just happy with the fact it was only 2 pokes and no painful digging to get the vein. What brought me here mostly to write this review is that the results came back in mere hours, I saw through my chart email. My doctor called me today (Monday, not even 2 full days after getting them done) to tell me one of my levels was severely low and I need a med asap. You know something is wrong when your busy as heck doctor calls that fast after a weekend. Anyway, this explains SO many things with how I've been feeling and I am just so thankful they were able to be addressed this fast.

It seems like although they are only one floor apart and doctor tells me she has sent bloodwork request while i'm at my appointment, it never seems to get there. Sounds like an IT issue to me. If the request form has issues being transmitted, they should have inter office mail set up. I drive 15 miles each way to get to there, it isn't very convenient to come back or to have to wait an hour or more to get my orders resent by the nurse.
