This facility is well located - easy to find in the plaza and ample parking in front of it. I just walked in so had to wait for about 15 mins which was not bad. It's clean and I liked that they now have iPads to check in. Requested the nurse to give urine sample first but she don't agree. These people need to understand that after drawing blood and one arm not at 100% it's not best to give a urine sample with one hand functional. Some day they will understand and make a written policy about it. read more

I was informed that my medical insurance listed this lab as their "preferred" lab (switched from what it was previously). As explained to me, I could go anywhere else but would have to pay a higher co-pay. So I went here. I've now been twice and will never go again. The first time was for a blood test for my daughter. Despite having an appointment, It took 30 minutes after the appointment time before my daughter was called. There were 2 other people in the waiting room and we were the first to be seen. The whole time we were there, there was no one at the front counter to ask questions of and no one went in before us. The second time, I only had to pick up a container to collect a specimen for later testing. Again, no one was at the front counter to field questions. I waited for 15 minutes without anyone coming to the front desk before I had to leave for an appointment. I came back later and waited for 20 more minutes (again, no one at the counter). I flagged down an employee when she opened a door to call someone in for a test and she told me someone would "be with me in a moment". 10 minutes later an employee came to the front desk. When I started to tell her why I was there she cut me off to tell me to sign in. I then explained that I only needed to pick up a specimen container and she told me "we're too busy right now" then walked away. Her manner was extremely rude and dismissive. I called my doctor to request that the testing be done at a different lab. I've gone to other labs in town that were faster, more professional, and more courteous to their customers. I'll pay more elsewhere not have to experience this lab again. Avoid it if you have any other option. read more

Very bad experience. Went to drop off samples. Reached before 11:20AM on a Saturday (they close at 12 noon). No one at the reception. Tried checking in using their kiosk but walk-ins are not allowed. Used help feature on their kiosk which said I can drop off samples, it gave me a number and asked me to wait. Waited and waited, no one called. At last someone called and said they are closing at 12 but he will see. He said he is in a hurry (he said I don't want to get in trouble, don't know what that means) and entered some wrong information in their system which said I have to pay $200. My insurance fully covers this test so I knew something is off. I asked about that but he closed the system and said to come back on Monday. I will have to collect a new sample, will need a new container etc. What a waste of time. Extremely poor customer service at this lab. read more

I am not one to complain about bad service, which says something about how bad this service was. I made an appointment 6 days in advance for 1:15. 3 days before they send me a reminder and I confirm the appointment. When I get there at 1:00 they tell me that they recently changed their schedule and no longer offer drug tests after 12:30. I ask why it is that they accepted my appointment for a service that they did not offer at the time of the appointment and she just shrugged and said something to the effect of "I don't control the scheduling, I'm just the receptionist". I forgive her for that but the company as a whole is unforgivable. Nowhere on their website did they mention this and even now they are accepting appointments as late as 1:15 even though they will not fulfill those appointments. read more

I was very afraid to bring my young daughter here based on reviews. It was awesome! We walked right in on a Monday at 1:00. The phlebotomist was great with my daughter who was terrified. She barely even left a mark at injection site and gave stickers afterwards. I recommend going during the week during non peak hours if you can. read more

Extremely rude staff, cannot emphasize that enough, two bitchy women were running the show that day, came in on standby for some testing. Tons of open seats and hardly anyone in the lobby. I don't even want to give a single star. my kid is 1 year old. Dr asked us to go for blood work for him so we went to the quest for the first time. The nurse asked me to hold him in a chair, they took his hand, they injected one injection to take out blood and couldn't find any vein then they tried another hand with another NURSE. What the f*. He cried and cried but they never even tried to calm him. It was a disaster. Never going to quest anywhere again.. obviously not in livermore. read more

Went in for a drug screen for my new employer. I was a walk in, because no appointments were available. No problem, because I am willing to wait. The Quest employees said they had others ahead of me and I shouldn't wait. I kindly told them I was more than willing to wait in case there is a cancellation or no show. They said they would not accommodate me. I told them I understood I may not be seen, but I was willing to wait. They said no, because if we don't see you, you will complain. I am frustrated with this experience. If I had had a choice I would never chose Quest. read more

I checked in with my phone 5 minutes before my appointment and went inside. After 15 minutes a lady finally came to the front desk and I told her I had an appointment and in a rude voice she interrupted me and told me to sit and wait until I was called. I said I wanted to verify that I was checked in, since I didn't get an acknowledgement and it had been 15 minutes. Still, with a very bad attitude she told me she didn't understand me and walked away and returned to the back. Her attitude is dismissive and condescending. I wish I could give negative stars. I came her Friday at 1pm and there was no one in line and Jay helped me out at the counter after checking in on the kiosk! Jay took my lab form and entered all my info and he made me aware that my insurance Anthem Blue Cross Afinity is not covered and I should go check Labcor across the street! I just moved here and Jay and the woman he worked with were soo kind and even helped me understand where I needed to go! Jay and his coworker were delightful and had great customer service! I wish this location was covered under my plan but thank you Jay and your coworker for being so nice and accommodating! read more

Had an appointment. 20 min later name was called and asked if I brought the kit for my blood test. What kit? It's a general CBC and hormone draw. Oh the lady stated. She had no idea by reading the lab request what the checked boxes were for. That's a RED flag right there that she's not qualified. Then I was asked for my ins card even though I did a preregistration and already entered this info. Then another person stated the preregistration is just for corporate. We have to re-register everything. What a waste of time. Waited another 25 min and finally got blood draw. If my dr hadn't insisted I come here I would have gone to lab Corp. so much more efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Avoid this place. read more

Very unprofessional front desk. When people need a blood test, usually there is either something suspected to be wrong or you are checking to see if current medications are working. In the first case, it is common sense to not offend or talk down to the patient who is already having a difficult time. Simply stating "we can't do that and you need to go back to your dr"...is not a helpful response to someone who just drove to your location from the dr's office. After making a quick phone call to the dr we learned that this lab is fully capable of what lab tests were ordered. We came back and the staff was irritated that we had to tell them they could do the tests. This place needs some customer service coaching. In a very competitive healthcare environment, where we have choices, I recommend going elsewhere. read more

Complicated check in process and terrible customer service. We were on time for appt but the computerized check in process would not allow us to check in and there was nobody to help. By the time a human came to lobby to help it was more than 10 minutes past our appt time so they refused to see us. Unfortunately there is no competition for places in Livermore. read more

Very poor patient time management. It's obvious that the employees that work here don't care about being efficient with time. This medical facility is has inadequate service, even on simple tasks. It's always a hit or a miss here. Some of the phlebotomists know how to take blood on the first try and others mess up so badly I have left with huge dark bruises on both arms in the past. They ended up taking blood from the back of my hand. The place can be completely empty but you'll be left in the waiting room for over 20 minutes, but it's good to know they're having fun in the back from the sound of their laughter. Also, one of Quest's drivers- a bald, elder white man- drives like a complete maniac. I've seen him driving around the city especially on Stanley Ave from Pleasanton to Livermore and his driving is concerning. I just got my blood taken a few minutes ago and the lady working there got my blood on the first try which makes my good and bad experiences balance out and why I chose to give them 3 stars. read more

We came here to get bloodwork done for our 1year old. I understand COVID restrictions, but this place was empty. No other patients. They still asked me to wait outside the room while my wife held our crying son. And when it got worse, instead of letting me divert his attention and stop crying, they kicked me out to the waiting area citing "too many people". This is the worst possible experience. I have been to Labcorp in the past and had a much logical staff who understood the needs of patients. I will never come to another Quest location again, ruthless people with no logical reasoning and they call themselves medical professionals. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. Extremely rude staff that blames you for their mistakes. I was redirected to this site for a walk in drug screening. Checked in around 12 pm to be standby for a walk in. One staff member came and told me to come back at 12:55 to help me at 1. Made sure to confirm with her if there's space for me and she said yes. Another staff member brought me in at 1 pm and then realized the other staff member made a mistake and there was another person with the same name as me who had an appointment at 1. Proceeded to kick me out while yelling at me that I don't have an appointment in an extremely rude manner. I told her I just wasted my time here then and don't have time to go to a different location and she said it's not her problem. I was waiting in the waiting room for my Uber and the same staff member yelled that I can't wait there since I was on standby and had to wait outside. Another person came in for a drug screening and was notified there that their system was down to conduct drug screens and told him to reschedule. He said he drove an hour to get to this location and he wasn't notified of this before his appointment. Avoid this site if you can and there needs to be some changes made to how rude and condescending the staff are. read more

My wife was in there today to witness a customer service horror show the people in there are so rude to their core you witness the poor lady that did not know how to use the kiosk machine and they have a sign above the TV that says if you need help ask somebody at the desk well she has somebody at the desk and he said he did not have time to help her and she really needed her blood test to bring it to her new job today this man was evil and then there was another person that needed help that did not get help on that kiosk are these people volunteeres? I think not LOL, plus my wife's arm is black and blue from their amateur employees they hire obviously with no background checks they just put them in there rainbow dash in on their subpar services this place is horrible and from what I found out it always has been and it will never change it's just a cash cow I will post other facilities to get blood work done that is not affiliated with quest read more

I had to drop off a very time sensitive sample and no one would help. They won't even speak to you to ask the situation.

I went to Quest to drop off a sample today. I got there at 3:55pm today and last Friday as well. The doors were already locked and the place was dark. It's a shame that a business cannot adhere to a time schedule. I hope their management sees this review so they can keep their employees in line. read more

I had to get my blood drawn multiple times during my pregnancy and always had a great experience. The phlebotomists are very friendly, fast and experienced and the facility is always very clean. Most of the time I didn't feel anything and the times I did, it was barely a little sting. They never had to poke me multiple times to get my vein, which was obviously great. On top of that, I took my one year old to get her 12 month labs and it was a far better experience than I could've imagined. Joseph and a sweet woman whose name starts with an M made my daughter feel comfortable while they prepped her arm. The woman assured me that she would check my daughter's arm and if she didn't think she could get it done in one try, she wouldn't do it, which I really appreciated. She was able to get it done in one try and even though my daughter cried (what baby wouldn't), she was easily soothed with a bottle as soon as it was done. There is no bruising on my daughter's arm and you can't even tell she had anything done. I was very happy with this lab and the phlebotomists are excellent. read more

Had to come here for some lab work. I was nervous about the results before even taking the test. They were extremely fast and she was able to get blood first poke. That hard for someone with veins like mine. The phlebotomist was very friendly and talked with me about dogs the whole time. It really helped relax me and take my mind off the test. This is the fourth time I was at this facility to have my daughter's blood drawn. She is 16 months old now. We've made appointments at least twice before and each time the appointment was in her Dad's name - that is how the Quest system seems to work. Today our appointment was at 10:00 and I signed in at 10:05 - 5 mins late. There were other patients with earlier appointments and 10:00 am appointments also signed in and waiting. So I figured though I was late, I was still ok. We waited till 10:45 to be called. I checked the sign-in sheet at that point and saw that someone had crossed out my appointment time! I realized that they did that because I'd signed in my daughter while the appointment was in her Dad's name. When I asked I was told that they won't accept the appointment being in a different name! The employees aren't aware of how their own systems work. Also, they ought to know that a 40+ year old won't be asking for a pediatric blood draw unless it is for their child! Then when I said that the appointment was always in her Dad's name, I was asked to sign-in again because I had originally signed in 5 mins late!! These sorts of things happen and the point of having humans to man the desk is to sort things out but the phlebotomist was extremely curt and dismissive. They had a long waiting line - I heard them say to someone who came that the wait time was an hour and a half. I can understand them being stressed at being behind even with patients with appointments but that is no reason to be curt and rude to a customer. I will definitely be looking for another place to do my lab work in the future. The whole atmosphere in the waiting room and with the phlebotomist is funereal. There's no smile, no greeting, no human-touch. The feeling one gets is that patients/customers being there is a strain and it would be best if no one actually showed up. Perhaps that is what will happen if they keep treating customers like this. read more

I'm reviewing for the staff. I've been coming here since it was at the old location on Fenton (had to wait outside at times). I was happy when they moved to a bigger location with plenty of parking. I've had to wait (not too long), but I try to get there as soon as it opens! No matter how long the wait or how many people are in the waiting room, the staff has always been nice. I've been helped by Mohini (Sorry, if my spelling is incorrect!) on many occasions, and if I could, I'd request her every time! She's pleasant, genuinely concerned with you, and I NEVER bruise after! I made an appointment last night for 8 this morning (So glad because I needed to fast). 2 people ahead of me. Checked in on the iPad. Had my blood drawn and I am back in my car 10 mins later! Super clean facility, friendly lab tech, didn't even feel the needle! Will definitely come back next time I need labs. read more

I have used this lab for myself and for my children. They're clean and perform the draws quickly. You may have to wait if you are a walk in without an appointment, but usually it is not too bad. They are also great with the kids. read more
