I took a lunch hour for my appt so I didn't lose sick or vacation time. I made an appt for 12:30pm, was taken in and then waited. The whole process was an hour. My issue is WHY ARE THERE NO EVENING HOURS?!!! Why aren't the facilities STAFFED APPROPRIATELY DURING LUNCH TIME so the staff can be more effective? I know the President, VP, CFO, and other policy makers want profit, but for FUK SAKES stop raping Americans of their time for your greedy interests. You and Quest are monopolies and if there were other choices with evening hours I'd run.

Most distressing to me is having my blood drawn. Well, today was that day and it was my…read moregastroenterologist who recommended Quest Diagnostics to me. My fear stemmed from getting my blood drawn because the phlebotomist at my regular family physician's office often bruised me, leaving me with horribly bruised veins. I went onto Quest Diagnostics' website and easily created an account and set up an appointment. I was quickly sent a QR code in which I was to use on the day of the check-in. All masked up, I went in and saw the online registration station. I scanned my QR code and it beeped, stating my appointment was confirmed. You have several options for waiting: wait in the austere waiting room, wait outside, or wait in your car and they will text you when it is your turn. Brilliant! Why can't all places be like this? For those of you who do not have an appointment, you can still come in but those with appointments will get seen before you. My phlebotomist, Jocelyn, was excellent! Everyone was masked up and all had surgical gloves on. She inputted all my information from my script into the computer. She then took out the necessary vials for the ordered blood tests, as my gastroenterologist had requested. Jocelyn double-checked all notes prior to taking my blood and patiently and reassuringly, explained each process. She used a small butterfly needle and easily took my blood. Jocelyn had a total of 12 vials to fill and not once did I feel anything as she changed those vials as she drew my blood. Shocked because I have always felt it, from previous experiences, when a phlebotomist exchanged one vial for another. Other than the pinching of the needle when Jocelyn first inserted the needle, it was quick and reasonably painless. Quest Diagnostics honors most insurance but always double-check with your provider first. Always have a script prior to going. My experience was outstanding and Jocelyn was exceptional. I decided for all future bloodwork that needs to be done prior to my yearly physical check-up, I will be coming here.

Although there was no wait, the location was dirty and the guy who drew blood clearly did something…read morewrong. I've never had any issues with previous blood work that I have gotten done dozens of times. He asked which arm, I told him whichever he thought was best for him. Previous they always take blood from a very prominent vein on my center left arm. For whatever reason, this guy thought a vein on my right side arm was better. When taking the blood, I felt a severe pinch when he was changing vials I assume from him moving or whatever the case may be. I'll say I don't even feel the initial pinch ever so I knew when I felt this part way through that something wasn't right. After arriving home my arm was very sore to where I couldn't bend or straighten it much without feeling pain. Today the pain is gone other than a typical bruise and I am left with a nasty looking bruise. Obviously the needle was inserted wrong or this would've never happened ESPECIALLY when I have never been susceptible to easy bruising.

They've actually saved my life at…read moreleast once that I know of, and the average wait time - well today, their front desk staff of one brilliant woman had me in a doctor's office in under 5 minutes, during which time she updated my insurance and was just an all around calm presence while handling what has to be an an incredibly stressful job. The doctor and his medical assistant took remarkable care of me, and frankly may have saved my life again. In any case they provided amazing, compassionate care of the sort that's often all too hard to find elsewhere. I've had similarly amazing, desperately needed care and treatment at other City MDs in New Jersey and all around New York City. You're in the best of hands here. Five stars aren't enough, but they're all I have here. That, and my deepest gratitude.
