I've done the homework for you. Need a time sensitive PCR test? Look no further. This is the…read moreplace. I've called around and looked online and there are no other options at least in the Memphis area. Yeah it's more expensive. But the other places usually take a few days and the ones that say they typically get next day results (which is what I needed) they clarify that it's not guaranteed and they stress that if they're busy you won't get it by then. Also it's next day form the time they get the results at their lab so figure in overnight delivery time. At Rapid Care your results online are in about an hour from your nose swab. For our visit, after 1.5 hours we still didn't get the results but when I called, then within 5 minutes the results were posted online and they called me back to let me know. The travel certificate they mention online is actually the same as the test report (there's no separate certificate). Also on their FAQ page and some other places on their website they mention 72 hour turn around. But ignore those because their lab is on site now and it's about an hour turn around. They always answered the phone when I called and were responsive to my questions. The parking is a little tricky. There's only 3 spots in front of their clinic and the rest are designated as for the nail salon next door. All the spots were taken with folks waiting so we just parked in to nail salon. Their doors are locked and although we arrived 15 minutes early they swabbed us at our designated time I suppose since there were other folks that had earlier appointments. It took only a few seconds. Bring a copy of your email appointment or have it on your phone (I just screen shot mine since I don't have data). Really a Godsend to the Memphis area as I don't know where we could have done if they weren't open.

That was the least of issues but I sure didn't sit my purse on the floor. So, my husband (copd, degeneration in spine&disc disease, 52 yr) had massive pain in right shoulder blade that started going down to the elbow and numbing fingers for a couple months ( had a CT scan a week ago) woke up on Monday and couldn't lift his head off his chest without extreme pain worse than before and in neck. Rested to see if it would get any better but on Tuesday at 5:00 pm decided to go to the hospital because he can't keep missing work and walking around looking at the ground 24/7. We are in our 50s and have raised 6 kids so you can imagine we have been to an ER a few times in our lives so far. This was by far the worst experience ever. 1. We were in there 12 hours. 2. Seemed every single person was getting called back for blood work before an X-ray or anything else, then a young nurse was going around the waiting room taking taking everyone's blood a 2nd and 3 rd time even though according to staff that the long wait was because labs was way backed up, well duh. 3. My husband didn't need any blood work done, I told the triage nurse this because he gets his blood work taken monthly at his lung doctor but they did anyway 3 times, that I'm sure we will be billed for. 4. I continually watched people get up and ask for discharge papers after sitting 9-10 hours and knew as much as they did when they walked in, one woman in particular sticks out in my mind because she came in with chest pain and no one acted like it was serious, she sat for 9 hours and only had blood work taken twice, I will definitely NOT recommend anyone with chest pain to go to this Hosp. 5. I understand there's a shortage on healthcare workers, but a better system would be greatly appreciated by all who have to go to the ER. Personally, if I have sat in the waiting room for 10 hours, you take my blood in the waiting room, don't put me in a room in the back just to be told what's wrong, just bring my palates and tell me. The room in the back was just another 2 hours of waiting. I feel like we should get a discount not just for the 12 hours that we will be outrageously charged but also for the nurse who punctured the vein in my husbands bad/hurt arm that will also now be hurting more for about a week on top of the pain he went in for. We have always been fortunate enough to have/pay for health insurance through our employment however in the last 10-12 years we pay outrageous premiums and have policies that pay next to nothing and I do think we all deserve better treatment.
