The staff here is very rude and inconsiderate. They don't have any costumer service, or even common courtesy. Told me I had to wait for staff while they went on their lunch break after being here for over an hour. If you're going to work in any sort of costumer service/ patient care your staff should be taught to be respectful and polite to their patients. I don't recommend this place in the slightest. This facility is horrible. I came back to drop a sample after obtaining a take home test kit, logged in at the kiosk, was given client number #102 and sat there for over an hour and eventually left with my now thawed stool sample. During my 1:10 minute unproductive stay in the Lobby on Saturday, January 20th, 2024, I watched numerous clients come & go which was quite entertaining as I observed the epitome' of horrible service as there was no receptionist or attendant at the front counter. You must log in through a kiosk so Quest Diagnostics can save on paying someone to manage the front counter. The Gal working in back came out periodically for clients who scheduled appointments who was rude and lacked any empathy with any of the clients. Later the following week, I called the generic number 847-857-0359 to speak with Branch Supervisor Kathy LaBrose to advise her of the Saturday escapade at her Elgin Clinic. I expressed my concerns to a receptive "Debbie" in Customer service who assured me a callback from Kathy LaBrose which never happened. It is experiences like this that really makes one appreciate good service in this day and age. Elgin Quest is an example of just how bad a customer service experience can really be. Simply sit & watch the client frustration in the lobby as people come in for testing. I wish I could have filmed the clientele on Saturday and sent it to the CEO of Quest. I am headed in again today to drop my frozen stool sample and I am interested in whether this will be the same shit-show I experienced 2 Saturday's ago. Time will tell. My employer made an appointment for me through their system. When I arrived they said there was no appointment even though I showed the confirmation. It was for a drug test so I came thinking I would need to pee. I waited in the waiting room having to go to the bathroom very badly and told them that. They did not care. It was some Indian woman doctor and a black lady. They were not professional about the situation or understanding. Will never go to this location again. Crystal Lake is much nicer. read more

I have done a lot of drug tests for employment in my lifetime. I will never go here again. The employee was rude to me during the whole experience. I saw her being rude to other patients too. As if I was a child in the school's nurses office! I am at least her age. And after I had to endure her passive aggression and bossy attitude my test results came back DILLUTED. This was the worse experience I have ever had in a clinic or this type of Lab. I am 100% sure there are at least 50 other patients that know exactly who she is and have experienced the same attitude with her. I informed my employer that uses this location to never send anyone there again. Terrible and dissapointing. I am a professional grown woman and was treated like a child! If I could give negative stars I would. My doctor electronically sent over what labs I needed. I went on a Saturday morning, there was time before they closed but refused to take my labs because they were "closing." They were not very friendly and told me to go somewhere else. I work about 30 minutes away from this location (the hours at the location near me close at 2 and I get off work at 4). I left work early to be there before they close. My doctor gave me a copy of what labs I needed, but said I didn't need to bring them because they sent them to the location. The lab papers say "Fasting: NO." So, I leave work and get there at 4. They said I had to have the papers in order to do my labs. After me complaining and reassuring them that my doctor sent it over they asked for my ID and looked up what I need. The same lady who was not nice the first time I went and told me to go somewhere else comes back with another male nurse who says we can't do this because I need to fast. When it clearly says no fasting on my lab sheets given to me. They both tell me that they open at 6 am and can get it done then. I have to be at work by 6:45 am which means I need to leave around 6 am to get to work. That is totally my fault for not being able to work around the times they have. I asked the girl about how long does she think the labs overall would take to do so I can let my work know I would be a little later. She says, "I don't know. Depends on how many people I have lined up at the door in the morning." That is not how you treat people. I did not feel comfortable, nor welcome and HIGHLY do not recommend this location. read more

They have a very nice staff and they work as efficiently as possible BUT their hours are ridiculous. 7am -4:30 is as good as a quest can get but it doesn't work if you have a normal work/school day. My highschooler gets on the bus at 6:10 and gets off at 3:45. We got to Crystal Lake 15 min after closing on Wed. We drove there on Saturday and there was a two hour wait AND they close at 11! Quest needs to put later appt times on their website AND they need to be open until 5 or 6. Be realistic quest. We can't take time off of work or school!!!! read more

Super fast and efficient! I had to get a wellness test done for work and decided to stop in on a Saturday morning. I didn't have an appointment set (they take walk ins) so I was expecting a long wait time. I literally waited 10 minutes max. Once my appt started, it was so quick. I was done in 10 minutes which included the blood test. The parking is so easy and available which is a big bonus. I've never been so impressed by a clinic before. The lady at the front desk was so helpful and efficient. A true example of how happy patients can be when you have great nurses and staff. Highly recommend! read more

I get that there is a kiosk check in, but how rude and disrespectful to ignore someone when they have a question. They pretended like they didn't see me when I just wanted to know how long the wait would be. The kiosk allows them to be complete jerks. read more
