This staff and volunteers at this warm and inviting house clinic help to better educate sexually active individuals. I left shortly after 9am. There were 2 different women who attempted to do the blood draw. Neither one was able to do the job correctly. I was poked a total of 7 times. One of my arms is bruised from one of their attempts. I had to drive 45 minutes to get there, so they said they would have their lead Phlebotomist call me either later that day or the following day. I had not received a call by close to the end of the day, so I called and left a message. I received a call back today from a lady who had a bunch of excuses. She started off by saying that they don't offer home blood draws unless you are homebound and some other instances. I explained that I was told by both of the women that tried to do the blood draw and failed at their job, that the lead phlebotomist would come out to do the blood draw. At one point, she said something to the effect that when she talked to the women, they told a different story than what I was saying. She admitted that she hadn't even heard about the situation until she received my voicemail. I clearly this up very quickly by pointing out that the only reason she even knew about the situation was because I called, pointing out that neither of these women had even done the follow-up they said they were going to do when I left their office. How do you forget to follow-up and fix a situation with someone that you poked with a needle 7 times and failed to draw blood from?!?!?!? Then, she tried to say that they normally charge a fee to do a blood draw in house. Your company failed to do their job, it is your companies job to resolve that, not the customer. In the end, she called me back and said I would have to go elsewhere and they wouldn't fix their failure. AVOID THIS PLACE!

As a lifetime Weight Watcher, I didn't think there was anything more to learn about dieting. Calories in, calories out, watch your portions, exercise regularly, etc. While all of that may be true, it unfortunately was just not working for me. After meeting with Kimberly for my initial consultation, I immediately realized that I wasn't in Kansas anymore. Similar to what I believe is the Paleo, South Beach, or even a more healthy version of Adkins, this plan reduces carbohydrates which allows the body to enter into a state of ketosis in an effort to burn fat more efficiently (the excellent nutritionist staff members - Kim, Jen, Heather, Holly, Stacee, & Ally - probably have a better explanation, but that is how I understand it to perform). What I didn't realize was just how many carbohydrates I was consuming per day; particularly in the form of fruits & vegetables! An apple here, a banana there, another fruit cup from Starbucks, a giant salad - I might as well have been eating slabs of bread! This plan allowed me to restructure my eating habits so that the main focus of my meals were in the forms of lean protein & my reduced carbohydrates intake was in the form of fruits & vegetables. Weekly weigh-ins with the nutritionists helped me to maintain focus & ask questions. I also love the instrument used for the weigh-ins as it provides a body composition analysis that reflects an overall picture vs just a number. It definitely took some time to get used to, but I lost an average of 2 lbs per week & have continued to lose through the maintenance phase. My body fat percentage has dropped 10%, my BMI has been reduced 3 kg/m2, & in all, I have lost almost 20 lbs total. Make no mistake, this plan does require discipline! Your calories are restricted in the Weight Loss Phase & I can guarantee your current manner of eating will be tweaked. With that said, it worked for me & I believe that I will continue to eat this way for the rest of my life. So long grains...I really don't miss you too much.

I can't say enough about the women who work at Biovive. As I am probably one of their longest continuous clients, I have met everyone that has been hired since 2009. Every single person has been knowledgeable, available, friendly, funny, and supporting in every way, not to leave out highly qualified. I can't imagine a better staff.
