I registered and went to my car. I saw an older couple arrive and the man had trouble getting out of the car. I told his wife that it was packed inside; they didn't have an appt. because she said blood work was needed at the last minute. I told her she could use my appt. We entered LabCorps; she registered. We waited for a few minutes for someone to come to the window to help us. I told the healthcare worker that I was giving my appt. to this man. She said that's not the way we do things. She would not talk to me and just kept repeating that. I was very disappointed that this woman could not see that sometimes you can do things differently. I left because I thought at least he would be one person closer to getting blood taken. We need to be kind! We need to think of others!

The tech Jackie finally called me back and was immediately rude asking me for my paper script. I informed her the routine thyroid test was showing received in the quest app and I tried to pull it up on my email to show her. She just kept talking about how doctors offices don't know what they are doing and never do things right. She told me she could not draw the blood without a paper copy. I asked about trying to email them the copy and she could not do that as this wasn't her normal office. I am shocked that in 2026 we are still requiring patients to need a paper copy for their bloodwork especially when I showed her it was showing received on my phone. She was not helpful and argumentative and obviously should not be in that position because she clearly doesn't like her job. Shame on them for making someone wait for over 2.5 hours only to refuse them. Quest needs to do a better job at taking walk ins within a reasonable time or not take them at all. Quest also should invest in upgrades to their online system that allows for patients to email over scripts if they do not have a paper copy.

I never make an appointment, so do I have to wait? Of course, unless I'm the first or second person in the door in the morning and no one shows up with an appointment, but they move very quickly, so even if there are 3 - 4 people ahead of me when I get in a little after 7 am, I am always to work before 8 am, and it's a 20 minute drive from the office. If someone has to wait, it's because they chose a very busy time to come in. If that happens to me, I simply wait until another day or time to come back. It's not the staff's fault that a lot of patients come in at one time. The staff is wonderful. If someone had an issue with a mask, perhaps they should have brought one. Everyone knows that you must wear a mask in any type of medical facility at this time. With Covid running rampant in this area now (and plenty of people still getting Covid who are not only vaccinated, but also boostered), it makes sense to wear a mask into any public location, not just medical facilities. You can't blame the staff for requiring a patient to comply with the rules. With regard to the false Covid information, I think any intelligent person who reads that review would ask what was being said. I know a lot of people who do not have the details correct, so without knowing what was said, you can't gauge who was in the right. I find it hard to believe that anyone was yelling and saying they were too emotional to draw blood, but since we're only hearing one side of the story, I have to go with my experience that they have always been very laid back and professional.
