DO NOT COME HERE I went here to get my blood drawn today. The man drawing blood kept sticking me and couldn't find a vein. He eventually started moving the needle around inside my arm in attempt to get blood out. I fainted and was lying hunched over in the chair. After a few minutes he shuffled me into the next room to lay down. I came to laying on a bed in a stock room surrounded by boxes, with garbage still on the bed I was lying on. Nothing had been cleaned and I had blood dripping from my arm, the man didn't even give me a gauze or bandaid. After calling for help and asking for a bandaid (which was never answered) I finally felt good enough to walk and just left. I feel completely violated. There were also stacks of other peoples urine all over the office I was getting work done in. There is no way this is sanitary. read more

I made my appointment via an app for bloodwork. Not something anyone looks forward to. However, I wanted to be sure to leave a review here for the phlebotomist. She was so friendly and helpful. She totally put me at ease. I didn't catch her name because I was nervous, but I wanted to compliment her "customer service" if that's what you call it in that setting. She listened & made me laugh. Refuse to read the board that clearly shows appointment order and who has signed in by name. Refuse to bring their insurance information. Demand that they be seen before appointment customers. Interrupt appointments with other customers. The same customers who post a bad review that quest's employee's were rude. Just before it was time to go in, the manager came into the lobby and announced they have to put everyone on hold for five minutes and then would continue. The person at the front desk disappeared, the lights went out in the area where he had been, and we all waited. The lobby filled up with other people with appointments until it was jammed. Thirty minutes later - 30 minutes - a patient rapped loudly on the door and finally the entire staff emerged. They told us five minutes and made us wait 30 minutes with NO explanation. I made an appointment to come in and get some blood work done today. Online the appointment scheduling was a breeze. The site showed days of the week and appointment windows to click on. I arrived only 5 minutes early, so basically I was on time. In the waiting area there were these touch screen tablets to check in on. At first I was like oh man what's this all about, but after entering my name and some details to identify myself I was all checked in. No less more than the five minutes from when I walked in, checked in and sat down to check in on Yelp - my name was called. Sweet!! And this place was not empty or anything. I would say about half a dozen people waiting around. Not sure if it was my simple blood test or what but this was good. Ok well now how about the actual care? Josh was my health care assistant who took me to my, well it was like a cubicle room. Got the vitals down quick and joked around some. While I was waiting he said to think of margaritas and mai tais. Ha ha... will do. He had a great attitude. I know his job can be rather busy and with people who are not excited about being poked with needles, so I conversated with him about his day too. I was a little worried because I know these lab only clinics can be lets say a little rough with the rushing of patients. However Josh again was great. He was smooth and did the blood draw well. No excessive bleeding or anything. Phew... I came here because it was on the list from my provider so I guess I would come back if I had to. I wanted to clear the misconceptions of this location in Burbank! Just went there and it was NOTHING like I expected. I found parking immediately on the street after once around the block and cost nothing. FREE unmetered 2 hour parking. Went in and only two people sitting. Used the barcode I was sent to sign-in from my phone by holding it to the camera, and only had to touch the tablet screen once (with my knuckle) to begin. The rest was touchless! I purchased my test online and was able to fax all my information directly from the account page so didn't need to print anything, use a fax machine, or bring anything but my phone with the code. SO EASY! I arrived early, but once signed in, my initials immediately appeared on the screen saying I only had a 3 minute wait. I watched TV and was called in without a single hassle. My technician was so sweet -- asked me if I preferred one arm or the other for the test. Asked me my info to confirm who I was, and then took blood sample. Did not hurt in the slightest, and was over in a jiffy. She confirmed all my information, and even had me view the labels on the vials to confirm it was 100% me before getting them off to the lab. I don't know if techs like their full names on Yelp so I'll just say Tammy was TERRIFIC! THANK YOU!!!! The entire place was spotless, location was easy to find, and literally this the most unstressful interaction I have had in a medical appointment ever! * a note to Quest Diagnostics - when I ordered my test online, after payment info was entered, their vendor website encouraged me to go to ANOTHER clinic in the area because of 'excessive wait times'. I'm guessing they are being paid to divert traffic or something, but after already comparing labs on Yelp, I didn't want to change and was able to leave it as Quest vs another lab. But as quiet as it was there, seemed strange they would recommend I pick another lab. Glad I didn't change. *Also, there are two similarly-addressed labs listed on Yelp, perhaps you have moved, but the other should be deleted or merged perhaps. Horrible experience. Couldn't get an appt on the portal so I spoke to a representative and advised me to walk in. I came in to this location arriving at 6:40 am and fasting. Was in line until 10:30 am to just turn me away. The girl inside had attitude and no consideration whatsoever. I had my last meal the day before at 3:00 pm and I couldn't even get in. I went in for a test. Took it home and brought it back. 5 minutes after dropping it off they tell me that they don't do this test in California. THEN WHY DID YOU SEND IT HOME WITH ME TO TAKE?! Then charged me for it and 2 other tests my doctor didn't ask for! Then I went back Monday for an allergy test. I get the results back and it says they submitted my paperwork WITH NO BLOOD. I came in as a walk-in at 6:40am today (Tuesday). Checked in on the iPad, then registered on my phone. There were about 5 people in front of me, and I was called within 15 mins. The woman at the front desk was kind and efficient. Josh was the one who came and drew my blood, and he was great. Very fast. I'd say I spent about 30 mins total in the office from the time I walked in. Maybe I was lucky, but the whole experience was fast and painless for me. Two or three times a year I need to have blood work done and I always use this facility. I make an appointment online and rarely have to wait more than 10 minutes. Today was an exception. I made an appointment for 2:15 pm. I walked through their front door at exactly 2:15. When I scanned in the URL they had texted me, I immediately heard my name called from the reception desk. Is that efficient or what? Fifteen minutes later, I was out of there. The last time I went, I had trouble completing the urine sample. I had not drank a lot of water and had nothing to "void," so I had to ask for more time. I walked around the building and the parking area, bought some water, etc. After about an hour, I walked back in and did the deed. Not one person at the facility shamed me in any way or made me feel uncomfortable. It's probably not the first time that has happened, but they were exemplary in showing understanding and even had a sense of humor about it when I asked what time they closed, just in case I had to spend the day. I've been going to this location for many years and haven't had any bad experience except the one today. I was called in by Farzi. after the initial check in she left the room with another lady. I waited for about 10-15 min and she was nowhere in sight. I asked the other nurses where Farzi went and no one knew. Then she came in yelling and screaming at me that it was only 5 min. I said no, it was 15 min, but she didn't want to hear me. Anyway, she started pulling the needles and vials hysterically, the started to draw blood( yes, I should have asked for another person, but I didn't...) She bruised my arm so badly that now I cant even move it. Hopefully the management sees this review and advises Farzi for her unprofessional manners. I had no problem with my appointment time. I had no problem with check in. I paid $168 dollars for an antibody test for Covid 19 and wanted to find out my blood type. Wow the problem begins when you try to get your results. Forget about it. Their computer system sucks. You have to register first of all which was never made clear to me. I did not go through a doctor so there is no need to delay the results because they go to the doctor first. It has been 10 days and I still cannot get access to my results. There is no place to call to complain and the computer email question thing makes it impossible to send an email. I still can't figure it out. It continued to give me some ridiculous message. When I tried to log in for my results they also have this whole series of questions that are so obscure, no one can remember what car you had 20 years ago. Or what county I might have been associated with. It is crazy. My bank doesn't even have this level of security with such obscure questions you are surely to get locked out. First time, it said I got locked out for 36 hours. I waited the 36 hours and then when I tried to go back in, it says I am locked out for 72 hours. This is insane. Just get me my results. read more

I'm usually there by 7am waiting to get in/out early, but so do many others so you r wait may increase significantly. Mid to late afternoon can be a ghost town and is a great time for a walk-in visit. I was there Friday to deal with bloodwork. I was slightly frustrated as the sign-up process gives you an option to "save time now" and input your insurance info only when I got there it asked for copies of my card/insurance info when signing in. Priscilla was in the waiting area and she instructed me to choose the option of "no insurance" and I can add it later. This concerned me too as who wants to try to remember to add insurance later (and possibly forget). Regardless of my frustration Priscilla was very nice. At one point an older woman was profusely thanking Priscilla for helping her out and Priscilla responded with several nice things and added "we can't make everyone happy but we try our best." I suspect she said that for my benefit. I am sorry if it was because I was low key frustrated with the sign in, but maybe it came off as more? Regardless she was nice and seemed to be placed there to answer questions which seems like a really good idea. The nurses were perfectly nice as well. Was better than I expected overall. read more

Anthony in the Burbank lab draw was Amazing!!! I am not an easy stick usually it takes 2 + tries and you have to dig around to try and catch the vein. I have little veins that roll and blow. Anthony got it on the first deck and he didn't have to use a butterfly. If there is no butterfly availability they use a bigger needle and usually hurts and I usually bruise really bad. This did not happen with Anthony. Everyone at quest Sims very nice and professional I feel bad for them because there was a lot of grumpy people in the waiting area and they're grumpy just because they're grumpy not due anything else. My appointment was 7 AM not much gonna happen yet they make people grumpy it's just they're grumpy. I think most want to walk in without an appointment and expect to be seen ASAP. read more

In an age where doctors are not giving you paperwork, it is horrible that I was refused a test my Dr had put in because I did not being a print out but had a pdf on my phone. My Dr had said they had put in a request to Quest and said I just needed to drop off a sample. I made an appointment and was shocked to find that the lab request was not in their system. I showed her what my Dr sent, and the person there then told me that it was an order form Cedar Sinai, and that meant I needed to print out the pdf. I told her I wasn't told this and could they get a digital transmission I was given an email that didn't work and had to wait an hour and then be sent home with no test because they are unable to put in a request on a computer. In a time when people are doing things digitally, it is ridiculous that you wouldn't be able to upload a pdf into your records in like 2 minutes from your phone to get a test during an appointment. read more

While the testing process itself is pretty straightforward and easy. What frustrates me is the before and after. This is an issue with Quest as a company, not specifically with this branch. You cannot speak with a human being to schedule your appointment. If you need to call them to ask for billing or test results or online account. They will transfer you so many times and each time you get transferred, you have to wait 10-15 mins. I spent an hour this morning from one department to another again and again, only to be told at the end to call my doctor. Like, WTF? Then they asked me to create an online account.. I did. I gave them my social and verified my identity and at the end, I was told the results won't be available on portal in 7 days even though they already have the rest results, then why not tell me the first time? why tell me to create an account? Just to make it clear, the tech that drew my blood and the receptionists were great. They're professional and courteous. My issue is with the corporate ways of treating me as a patient/customer. This is your typical corporate that care more about "automation" ... Treat your patients like human beings, not robots. read more
