About a month ago, Spoon It opened its doors at 7515 Hwy 105 near Major Drive, and it's already become a favorite spot for a cool, creamy treat. Calling it "cute" is an understatement--it gives off real tropical vibes! The checkout counter and yogurt machine stations are designed like tiki huts, complete with bamboo and thatched roofs. It's festive, fun, and the perfect escape from the heat. Their variety of frozen yogurt is impressive, with about 12 different flavors to choose from--including two sugar-free options. One granddaughter chose a swirl of pistachio, cheesecake, and yellow cake batter yogurt, and topped it with fresh strawberries, blueberries, and pineapple. The panini was cooked well and the chicken was juicy. My wife got BBQ chicken quesadillas, made with pulled chicken not diced, and it was also excellent. I closed with what they call the Espresso Float. Shots of espresso poured over your choice of ice cream (homemade in house). I got praline crunch ice cream, which was great. I can't wait to come back - I think I'll go with chicken and dumplings next time.
