The toddler ate the marshmallow, then rubbed babycino froth through his hair. I'm assuming that means he likes it! Well, they're okay, but not truly great. I'm from The States originally and grew up eating bagels with all sorts of weird and wonderful toppings- my all time favourite place makes THIRTY different varieties of bagels daily. With l sorts of fillings and toppings- I know what a great bagel should be: firm on the outside, doughy In the very Center. The bagels here always seem stale, even when they're fresh. I'm sure they aren't making every single bagel fresh every morning, but that's not really a reason to say a mediocre bagel is an amazing bagel. Coffee is okay, I've had way worse but it takes a really long time to get the orders out, so don't come if you're in a hurry. If you're vegan or vegetarian, there are a lot of options which would be nice (unless you think too much about yeast being... a living organism that is intentionally killed solely so we can consume it. But I digress), but realistically with the prices they charge you could buy a bag of supermarket bagels and make your own bagel how you want it and have enough left over for a big bowl of matza ball soup.

We were staying just above the wharf and spent about 20 minutes walking over. They had a great array of crusty, sweet and savory pastries, pies, and breakfast items. Perhaps the most impressive thing was the fact that their list of specials took up an entire chalkboard. Everything from sweet rolls too, wallaby and rabbit, pie, to some delicious eggs Benedict and a big English breakfast. They had something for everybody, and everything was really good! The place is housed in a relatively old building with a lot of character! Not so old that you're worried that you would find petrified things in the wall, but old enough that you definitely know the place has had a chance to fall over and won't. The staff was really nice, took great care of us and found us seats very quickly, despite the place being busy. All in all, this is a must check out spot whenever you are in town!

Okay, so I've only been there once. But I spent an almost whimsical morning curled up at the window counter looking out over the street, drinking Campos coffee and smiling at passers-by. I also met the most adorable elderly couple who made me miss my grandparents. The service was absolutely charming, too. Table service if you're dining in, with free parking (for the first 1.5hrs) only a couple of hundred metres away.
