And if that doesn't, perhaps reading some of the descriptive paper cards in the window will put other off. It this is the case, it truly is a shame. This is a minuscule, letting agency that has been here for years. While it clearly doesn't look like much (particularly compared to the shiny, new Lets Direct next door) it is very friendly, personable and completely people orientated. If you explain what you're looking, in what price range and where abouts you'll be offered up all the likely candidates they have. Furthermore, they'll let you know about anything which with is soon become available but is not yet advertised. If you fail to find something suitable from this selection, then they'll keep you on their books and phone you pronto if anything comes up. Excellent, indeed! For those of you who are slightly more faint hearted it is worth keeping in mind that some of the properties they offer are very much on the budget end of things. So, if you're after a big, swish, shiny, new pad this place probably isn't your best bet.

I've been using knights, living in one of their flats since 2008, & i have absolutely no regrets…read morein choosing knights as a letting agent! The staff are ever so friendly, professional and understanding! If you do ever happen to have an issue with your accommodation, it is addressed as promptly as is able! It's always usually the same workmen that they use, which makes me feel at ease, knowing I'm not always gonna get a Stranger, if there ever is an issue! I've always found the staff easy to talk to and approach about anything or any of my concerns! At the same time though, i wouldn't ever take their kindness & helpfulness as a form of weakness! You no doubt will be held to account, just like any other landlord! All i can say is after 4 tenancies, with gha, with knights i got/found my 1st home! I can't recommend them highly enough, even my friends tell me that im so lucky to have a landlord like them & that I landed on my feet with them! That's comments coming from my friends! Actions speak louder than words, that's why i a gave 5 star rating!

You know, I kinda feel like I need to knock on wood or do something else to prevent the karma…read moremonster from coming back and biting my ferociouly on the arse, but screw it, I'm gonna do it anyway. Letting agents are right next to people who fart in packed lifts on the 'you suck' scale, ceratnily considering that the majority of one/two star reviews on Yelp far outweigh the 3/4 star ones (something that is very rare on our nice wee site!). Now I totally get why that is. Some of these guys suck. Plain and simple. I've had friends who've been mightily screwed around by some places, to the extent that you wonder if it's actually a human being and not a heartless robot who's running the biz. Right, muttering over. Review time. I've heard people saying that these guys are sometimes slow to respond to calls. This claim has on occasions had merit, however on the whole, they are pretty damn prompt at getting things done and getting back to you on issues. In the main, they're pretty hands off in terms of visits, contact etc. If things look and sound happy, they seem to be quite happy to let you get on with things and be there if schtuff needs done. Me like. One of the main plus points i feel with these guys is the appointment of a specific customer service contact for each tenant. This means, for me, that I have a name and some one accountable for my requests. No longer does a question 'go missing' after being passed along the line! Me happy so far.

All I can say is that this has to be the most horrible Letting Agency I've ever dealt with…read more I paid my £900 rent every month before it was due yet when it came to getting my deposit back... they were nowhere to be seen. Everytime I called these guys I was told to put it in "writing". It took 4 MONTHS to finally get a reponse and this was only after threatening taking them to a Small Claims Court. I also didn't get my full deposit back... I am still waiting for a letter 5 MONTHS later to explain what they were deducting and also still waiting for a Gas bill as this was charged by Merchant Lettings and paid directly. They act really professional to begin with when they are trying to get your money but BEWARE... Not a member of the tenancy deposit scheme either! AVOID!

Two words - Stay Away! Having lived with this company for 3 years I can safely say that I have…read moreexperienced just about ever landlord related problem under the sun. Highlights include being left without a working boiler in December for 2 weeks, being over-charged for my rent, being threatened with eviction due to utterly unreasonable neighbour complaints (even the police sided with me) and having £270 withheld from my deposit for absolutely no reason (I got it back but only after a phone marathon with the credit department). If you end up going with the company, you best put the number in your speed dial. Many of the staff are very rude and some are about as useless as a fireman's helmet made out of chocolate. I was once told, by a manager no less, that he was happy to take my email details but that I should not expect to receive a reply as "I will most likely lose it". My friends have had equally nightmarish encounters. Personal highlights include the chap who called to say that the roof was leaking onto his plug and was advised to move the computer while he had to wait 8 days for someone to come and fix the problem. Textbook. If you think I am exaggerating, just ask the Student Representative Council at the University of Glasgow. They have awarded Grant Management the prize of Worst Letting Agent in Glasgow on more than one occasion. As flats go, Grant Management do have some great properties in some prime locations but no matter how nice the place is it will not be worth the side-order of gross incompetence.

Grant Management is a bad memory, one I've tried to push to the back of my mind, but every so often…read moresomething reminds me of it and I find myself livid that I've had to think about it again. The flat I lived in that was managed by this horrible company was actually in Stirling, but this is the office we dealt with. They continuously cancelled on our viewings and eventual lease-signing dates. When we finally got one set up, the guy was 40 minutes late and claimed to be stuck in traffic - we'd all just driven through from Glasgow on the same roads. It seems like they're in the business of getting one over on students, as he looked embarrassed when he saw that we'd brought my parents to help look over the lease terms. The whole year with them was a disaster. After tons of issues with miscellaneous things, they began rounds of calls, asking for feedback. When we didn't answer, they'd keep calling. When we did answer and declined, they kept calling. Once they called me at 7am. When I finally answered and took the damn survey and gave them 1s out of 10 for customer service, speed of repairs, reliability, and so forth, the woman got really cranky and hung up on me. What do they expect?! Oh, not to mention the astronomical fee of £250 when my flatmate's direct debit wasn't set up properly (their mistake) and they didn't get his rent in time. Honestly. Basically, I've heard similar stories to mine from everyone who's ever so much as heard of Grant Management. Frankly I have no idea why they're still in business. Beware!

I'd like to think this was not me being especially dumb, but the shop front being rather inoffensive. No matter, this has been to date the only estate agent from which I have bought a flat. Indeed, up until the day I moved into my newly purchased flat I had no idea where this was. Rather worrying, I know. Anyway, I was working from 8am-6pm (8pm on Thursday) in two jobs, seven days a week for about a fortnight a few summers ago; to cover some lucky devil of a boss who'd left and not bothered to hire any extra staff. As you can imagine, this made it extremely difficult to continue my property hunt and I ended up doing most of it through an old (and quite smelly) yellow pages and the work's telephone. Therefore, I was ecstatic when a lovely woman from here called me up. She'd spoken to me earlier in the week and kept a hold of my details. Which - unlike many estate agents - she'd actually bothered to use when something matching my specifications came in. So, from my limited experience I would give this place a major thumbs up. They were very polite, helpful and managed to do everything over the phone. They also kept my details and actually used them. Additionally, they were also good enough to talk the seller into giving me an 8pm viewing on a rather nice June evening due to my hectic work schedule. Small, but perfectly capable of pulling punches well above their estate agent weight.
